Julie

Julie is from France but has lived abroad for her entire adult life - she now lives in Japan! 🏯 She loves to learn languages (which must be useful!), create art, travel, read, sing and write and play music! 🎼

She used to work as a Senior Consultant, working with clients to translate project visions and objectives into real results.

Julie had always been intrigued by the work of her friends who are software engineers and game developers. She was looking for a new hobby during the pandemic lockdown and decided to try coding!

"I started learning how to create small video games on Unity using C#. Down the line, I realized that I might need proper coding understanding and foundation to get a better grasp on what I was doing, so I bought books to teach children how to code basic games with HTML/CSS/Javascript."

Around this time, she discovered SheCodes through a YouTube ad!

Julie learned how to code through four workshops with SheCodes.
