I’m really proud of myself for completing the SheCodes React course. Before starting, React felt overwhelming and I struggled to understand how everything connected, especially working with components, state, and APIs. But step by step, the lessons helped me build real confidence. One of my biggest achievements was building my own weather app from scratch. I learned how to fetch live data using APIs, handle errors, and display dynamic content on the screen. I also got more comfortable debugging my code instead of giving up when things didn’t work. There were moments where I felt stuck and frustrated, but the course structure and practice projects kept me going. Now I can actually build and deploy a working React project, which I never thought I’d be able to do at the beginning. Overall, SheCodes didn’t just teach me React — it taught me how to think like a developer and believe in my ability to solve problems. I’m excited to keep building more projects and growing my skills from here.

This workshop made me even more interested in web development. The lessons were well-structured, easy to follow, and helped me strengthen my understanding through hands-on projects. I especially enjoyed creating my own landing page and seeing my ideas come to life with code.

Its been a great journey so far with Shecodes learning, I really learned a lot from Matt and the team, for a beginner in coding, starting from scratch was not easy but it was worth it. This was a fun project to combine everything learned in the Basics workshop to make an engaging and functional landing page, complete with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

i highly recommend it for anyone who wants to start learning how to code .It can be a bit challenging here and there but with practice it does get better ,I enjoyed this a lot.

I really enjoy these workshops. They are very easy to follow along, the lessons teach students how to build the code by breaking it down in a way that the logic just makes sense and the projects are a lot of fun as well as challenging, which let you wanting to learn a bit more each day. Also the extra info and explanations, resources and AI assistance are a plus.

I learned so much through this project and would highly recommend this beginner Python course. I had always assumed Python would be very complicated, but the course made it approachable and easy to follow. Matt’s calm and clear teaching style helped me feel comfortable with the basics much faster than I expected. Athena, the AI support tool, was also incredibly helpful. Whenever I was struggling to understand something, I could get immediate guidance instead of waiting. Athena helped me see where I had gone wrong and explained why another approach worked better. Matt is an excellent teacher who isn’t afraid to show when mistakes happen—something that makes the learning experience feel real and encouraging. Most importantly, he shows how to solve problems and learn from them. Overall, this is an A+ program.

As a working mom raising a child with special needs, learning AI and coding felt almost impossible. I had no programming background, and every day was already a balancing act between responsibilities at home and at work. There were moments when I doubted if I could keep up, because time was always scarce and my energy was stretched thin. Yet, what made this journey possible was the flexibility the course provided. I could learn at my own pace, pause when life demanded my attention, and return without fear of being left behind. That freedom gave me hope and strength. Slowly, I discovered that even without prior technical knowledge, I could understand and apply concepts that once felt intimidating. This experience taught me more than just this course—it reminded me that growth is possible even in the hardest seasons of life. I am deeply thankful for the opportunity, for the patience built into the program, and for the chance to prove to myself that I can learn, adapt, and thrive.

Python looked almost too simple after two years of JS. No semicolons, no curly braces — I thought I was missing something. Then the AI wave hit and I realized I was missing everything. This course was the fastest way to go from JS dev to actually productive in Python — the syntax clicked in hours, not weeks. It's not a beginner language. It's THE language right now.

I joined this course three years ago to learn what coding is, while I was figuring out what I want to do in life. Learning more about React was a challenge, but I enjoyed every part of it! It's amazing what complex things can be done in just a few lines of code and being able to understand and create that was pretty neat. I look forward to continuing my education in React.

It's getting harder each week, I even shed some tears of frustration this time, but the goal is not to give up. Take a good long sleep and everything will turn our for the better the next morning. My subject for this project is BTS the 7 "normal" boys from Korea.

The lessons are easily to follow making learning easy!

You shown how to build the site but little room to expand because you have to follow every tiny step in the videos.

Before this course, I could put together a basic webpage, but I struggled with advanced styling and adding interactive elements. This curriculum completely unlocked that next level for me. I learned how to build meaningful functionality into my front-end designs while keeping the code clean and scalable.

The SheCodes Responsive Final Project was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my learning journey so far. Building a fully responsive, multi-page portfolio from scratch pushed me to bring together everything I had learned — HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and responsive design — and apply it in a real, meaningful way. I wanted my portfolio to reflect the same care and creativity I put into my chocolate business, and SheCodes gave me the tools and confidence to do exactly that. Seeing my website come to life — with a working navbar, floating cards, a projects showcase and a design system I built myself — was incredibly fulfilling. SheCodes made learning to code feel accessible and achievable. I went from a blank page to a professional portfolio I am truly proud of. I would highly recommend SheCodes to any woman who has ever thought about learning to code — it is never too late to start a new chapter!

Basics Add-on workshop stretched me in ways I never anticipated and I guess that is what happens when you push yourself to try to learn something new. It blew my mind and I must say I was impressed by myself at some points, because I pushed myself through the intense moments of frustration and pressure. I gave the SheCodes Basics class 5 stars because I genuinely had such a great experience with it. Before starting, coding felt a bit intimidating, but the course made it feel approachable and actually fun. The lessons were explained in a very clear and easy-to-follow way, so I never felt completely lost or overwhelmed. One thing I especially loved was the structure of the course. The videos are short, focused, and straight to the point, which made it much easier for me to stay concentrated and absorb the information step by step. I also really liked that I could complete the lessons at my own pace and spread them out over different days depending on my schedule. That flexibility made learning feel much less stressful and more enjoyable. The hands-on exercises and challenges after each lesson helped me immediately practice what I had just learned, which made everything stick much better. I had zero knowledge coming into Python and I had to learn the basics on this programming language. I learned the different elements of class used within python and that creating functions help keep the code organized and easier to read but it is not always easy. The little exercises provided in the course helped me learn about variables and how to use them to store, retrieve, and calculate information. The course provides a wealth of information that I still need time to digest but is a worthwhile endeavor given some practice and tips from the instructor and peers.

I’m so glad I finally took the first step toward the next stage of my professional career, and it’s all thanks to SheCodes. This has been my favourite workshop so far. I really enjoyed learning the different techniques used to create responsive websites and how to ensure they display effectively across a range of screen sizes, from mobile devices to larger desktop displays. The workshop helped me further develop my CSS and web design skills while giving me a greater understanding of modern responsive design principles. I found it rewarding to see how small adjustments can significantly improve the user experience and accessibility of a website. I really enjoyed taking the Plus AI Graduation workshop at SheCodes.io! Creating an Artificial Intelligence assistant, giving it context, and building this page was a very interesting challenge. It was a great opportunity to explore new technologies and better understand the digital transformation that AI has already brought and will continue to bring in the future. For my project, I created a Christmas Message Generator, which can always come in handy! The project includes a form where users can give personal instructions and receive AI-generated content based on their input. I used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build the project, and the entire frontend, UI, and UX design were fully created by me.

The Responsive Add-on Graduation course was a great experience. I improved my responsive web design skills and learned how to create websites that work well on all devices. The lessons were practical, clear, and very helpful. I definitely feel more confident as a front-end developer now.

This was challenging for me and made me think outside the box. I love the way Matt makes everything so easy to follow along. I am more than ready to complete other workshops as I am falling in love with coding every single day!

AI is leverage. But leverage on what? If you don't know anything, AI doesn't save you. It just helps you ship something broken, faster. That's the trap with vibe coding. Where I was coming from I'm not a beginner. I work alongside developers. I'm doing a Computer Science master's — non-consecutive, so I'm one-eyed. Not blind. Not sharp-sighted either. I can see the shape of things, not the detail. Why SheCodes worked It doesn't drop you in a rabbit hole. You're guided, step by step, to something finished. You use AI the whole way through. But Matt explains why each part of a website matters and how it fits together. And when you want to go deeper, he points you to the right resource — he has a huge library outside the course, all of it free. That's the part most courses get wrong.

Before starting this training I had very little knowledge of JavaScript and I have to say when finishing the final project I noticed how comfortable I feel with troubleshooting issues, finding what's not working and understanding where to look for issues. It's not ideal for everyone, if you rather rely on someone to help it might be challenging but if you like to figure things out on your own it's a wonderful way to learn!
