How Inga found her career path and got a Front-End Development Internship thanks to SheCodes Pro.

Inga is a recent SheCodes grad that has found her career direction thanks to the knowledge sheโs gained in SheCodes. ๐ Sheโs currently living in Warsaw, Poland. She has a background in Sales and Business Development, Acquisition, and Event planning. In her free time, she enjoys spending time around horses, practicing graphic design, and snowboarding. She now enjoys practicing and improving her software development skills, too. ๐
For a while, she worked as a Sales and Business Development Representative, in charge of chasing leads and identifying prospects. She decided to expand her skill set by gaining some coding knowledge, but wasnโt sure if it was something that she could really grasp and didnโt know where to begin.ย
โAround a year ago, before the pandemic I started a very basic Python course but that didn't really click. It's when I started SheCodes Workshops I fell absolutely in love with programming.โ
โProgramming was always kinda in the back of my head. I didn't know how to start and once I did, most of the tutorials or courses were not working out well for me. SheCodes impressed me. Being able to understand those infinite lines of code. Coding was something I knew I wanted to be able to know.โ

Before SheCodes, Inga took many other online coding courses. She came to the conclusion that the teaching methods in these other online courses were not conducive to her way of learning. She realized that SheCodes was a great fit for her because of the teaching methods, Slack community, and homework.ย
โFrom blog posts and YouTube tutorials to Udemy courses. Most of them were quite difficult to understand. I thought they were just super advanced but now I know it was just the way they were taught. The content was not difficult, it was explained poorly. SheCodes is totally different. Not only had we a great teacher, but the whole team was there to support you and help you if you needed anything. I also loved the homework, and being able to ask for help on Slack.โ
Ingaโs favorite workshops were the Responsive and React workshops! ๐ Weโre so glad that she learned to code with SheCodes in all of our workshops.ย
โI loved the Responsive workshop! It came quite easily to understand with the material provided and tasks given. What was even greater is when I started the React course. Oh boy! There's no greater feeling than fixing the bug or finally understand some difficult or new syntax structure. I know I probably sound like a total nerd. And guess what? I love it!โ
Inga especially loved learning with other women, the supportive community, the hands-on aspect of the coding work, the course structure, and the affordability. Weโre so happy that Inga chose SheCodes! ๐ย
โI loved learning with other women! I like that SheCodes is a female-friendly zone. Frankly, there's an issue with underestimating women, especially in IT. SheCodes is all about support and understanding. Situations where you feel too embarrassed or shy to ask for help just never occur in SheCodes.โย
โI appreciate that it is for women only. I loved the workshops and how they are taught. It's all very hands on and that really makes you learn. Not just listen but be able to actually know and understand what you are doing. What was very important for me was that I could easily navigate throughout the course. It is well structured and very clean. That makes working more pleasant. In terms of pricing I was able to get an amazing discount which honestly helped me a lot!โ.

โOf course I've learned a whole lot of new phrases, words, etc. and I'm actually able to understand what other developers are talking about (most of the time ๐). But what SheCode really gave me is that it helped me find out what I want to do. I've been struggling with that question for quite a while. Now it is clear to me that I want to stay in IT.โ
