Say hi to Amber! Hailing from the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA 🇺🇸, she is a person of diverse interests and talents. Her hobbies are very different: from reading to more creative outlets like drawing, and knitting 🧶. Prior to embarking on her coding journey, Amber dedicated over a decade of her life to the world of hairstyling, where she spent her days doing haircuts and colors 💇‍♀️.

However, Amber's career took an unexpected turn in 2020 when the pandemic led to the temporary closure of her salon. This pause in her professional life prompted her to explore new horizons 🙌. Amber's interest in coding wasn't new 💻. She had been intrigued by the world of coding for years, but life's demands and obstacles, such as juggling two part-time jobs after graduating college, made it challenging to pursue further education.

“The course package was affordable, seemed like a very straightforward way to learn, and made it seem very possible for me to learn practical skills that would hopefully land me a new job in the future.”

Fortunately, while Amber was looking for new opportunities, she discovered SheCodes 😍. “I am currently working as a Junior Developer where I handle front-end development tasks like code maintenance, documentation updates, and helping create web templates.”
