Hitay

Hitay is a hard-working SheCoder who took on the challenge of jumping into a new industry. She has a business administration degree but is always interested in learning new things. We are so happy she found SheCodes! 😄 

Living in the west part of Turkey, she likes to practice Yoga and study Japanese when she's not busy coding. 🧘‍♀️

Like so many of us, Hitay was searching for ways to beat the boredom of COVID lockdowns. Since her previous job was uninspiring, she thought learning a new skill might be the best use of her time. Coding was something she was interested in giving a try, so she started to research women in tech. 👩‍💻

"I worked as an Audit Assistant. My previous team wanted me to just copy and paste things, change the file names and apply some Excel formulas. I had a work routine without any room for creativity and logic."

Then Hitay found SheCodes and changed her life! 🤩 

After discovering SheCodes, she decided to dive into coding after attending our free 60-minute class! As a beginner, Hitay needed a course that would teach the basics first. Other companies didn’t have the structure or support she wanted.

She was able to build up a strong coding foundation while gaining some more advanced skills by finishing SheCodes Plus, React, and Responsive. 💪 💻

Hitay is now loving life as a Frontend Developer! 😍 She works for a tech start-up where she uses her new coding skills everyday.

After graduating from SheCodes, Hitay kept building her portfolio with new projects.
