Anita's inspiring journey from Customer Service to IT Operations!

Say hello to Anita 🇮🇹! Originally from the north of Italy and now living in Zurich, Switzerland, Anita is passionate about cooking, especially when it comes to preparing delicious meals for her friends and herself 👩🍳. Over the past 8 years, Anita has lived in England, the Netherlands, and now Switzerland, where she enjoys exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the Swiss and Italian Alps. During winter, she loves ice skating on frozen lakes, a hobby that fills her weekends with joy.
Before she discovered her passion for coding, Anita worked as a Customer Service Specialist, where she supported English and Italian clients for both large corporations and startups. This role allowed her to collaborate closely with product managers and developers, as she brought bugs and new feature requests from clients to their attention. Although she loved ensuring that clients had an exceptional experience, Anita wanted a role where she could keep growing professionally.
“I loved working as a Customer Success, ensuring clients and users had a top-notch experience with our company's products. However, I realized early on that this role had its limitations in terms of scalability. I aspired to be in a position that could evolve over the years.”
Anita’s curiosity about what happens "behind the scenes" of a webpage and her desire to work more closely with development teams led her to explore the world of coding. 👩💻 When she discovered the SheCodes workshops, it was love at first sight!

Today, Anita is working as an IT Operations Manager, where she monitors company networks and systems, supports employees with technical issues, and manages software integrations. Although coding isn't part of her daily tasks just yet, she’s open to where her tech journey might take her in the future! 🚀
