How Ada became a Junior Web Developer just a few months after finishing her SheCodes Pro journey.
🙍♀️ Before SheCodes
Ada is a dedicated SheCoder from Casale Monferrato, Italy who has put her SheCodes knowledge to good use to get her first job as a developer! She loves spending her time cooking, doing yoga, and playing video games. From an early age, she’s also had an interest in tech. 🙌 💻
She was working for IDS International as a salesperson and then decided that she wanted to change her career trajectory and pursue a career in tech instead.
“I have always been a tech geek, and recently decided to try and make a job out of it.”
She came across SheCodes and it caught her attention so she decided to look into it. Hence, her journey into working in tech began. 🤩
👩💻 Her SheCodes Experience
Ada joined SheCodes in order to work towards her career goal of working in tech. She knew that some coding knowledge would be mandatory in whichever tech role she decided to pursue. She had started to learn how to code by herself online before signing up for SheCodes, but she didn't quite have the proper tools to set her up for coding success. She found that SheCodes gave her the right tools to truly learn how to code and to progress quickly.
She greatly enjoyed her SheCodes experience. 😍 Her favorite parts were seeing the results of the hard work she put into her coding exercises, the flexible schedule, and the support.
“Finding the missing pieces that made my code work, that great feeling when everything comes together and you see what you had in mind appear in front of you like magic. 🌟 The best thing about the format of the course is the fact that due to the lessons not being live it has a very flexible schedule, and it has a great team to help you if you're stuck.”
Learning with the other SheCoders in the community was also a big plus for Ada. 👩💻

Thanks to the knowledge she gained in SheCodes, Ada was able to get a new job as a developer! 🤩 She utilized her network and found the job thanks to her connections. But it wouldn’t have been possible without her hard work and dedication!

Ada is working as a Junior Web Developer for a local web design company in her area. Her daily tasks include collaborating with her team, along with creating and renovating websites. Her now job has many perks that she's enjoying, the biggest one being that she can work from home.
“I love working from home, that's something I couldn't do while working retail or IT support.”

In Ada’s coding future, she’d like to improve her skills and extend her knowledge to become a full-stack developer. She’s currently studying back-end languages to work towards this goal. We have no doubt she’ll be successful in achieving all of her coding goals!!

Ada’s best advice to future students is to not let fear get in the way of learning and to be patient during your coding journey.
“Don't let the fear of something new (and seemingly complicated) scare you from trying, if I hadn't clicked that link, I would still be working a job which I didn’t really like.”
“Don't let frustration get to you either, if something doesn't work, just put the laptop down, go for a walk and calm down, everything will seem easier after.”
