Through SheCodesPlus, I got to learn how to incorporate real time information into my website. It is both fun and challenging at the same time but having someone to ask in Slack made my learning process went smoothly. Special thanks to Joao for correcting my code throughout my journey of building my weather application website.
SheCodes was a great introductory class for beginners! Each lesson was focused and oriented toward building an actual landing website, which was very practical.
This workshop is great for beginners or as a refresher alike. The classes are thorough and timed well, and they can easily be done while still working a full time job.

Learning how to build a weather app in React has been an exciting, challenging, and rewarding experience! I loved being able to implement new features in my React weather app that I wasn't able to in my first vanilla JavaScript app. I especially found the Slack chat group to be extremely helpful whenever I got stuck. SheCodes has definitely inspired me to further pursue a career in software development!
This workshop was super fun and even though it was challenging because of all the new concepts, the community is always there to help you. I've done a bunch of online courses and I must say that the SheCodes community is the one that has engaged the most. You'll always find a solution to any question you ask. At first, I was a little embarrassed because I asked a lot of questions and had a lot of bugs in my code, but they truly are super sweet and always willing to answer to any of your doubts, no matter how much you've asked; and to me, that has made a huge difference because it has avoided all the feelings of frustration that you might get when you just can't find what you are doing wrong. So yeah, 5 stars to these awesome community!
I started this program knowing absolutely nothing. I wont lie and say this class wasn't challenging, it was. I am glad i took this class and I would be continuing my education with shecodes. Matt was a great instructor. The only thing I would say is that some of the challenges needed us to use a few things that wasn't taught yet and that was a little confusing and frustrating to me. Other than that, it was an amazing experience
I wanted to learn how to code, but I did not have the confidence to sign up and go to school. I started looking at different options/classes to take online, and when I found SheCodes, I was definitely intrigued! Not only is it tailored to women which is amazing but also the classes are so interactive and you learn so much! I have already recommended this to a couple of my girl friends and they will also sign up! Very excited for the future and be able to start working as a web developer! Wish me luck everybody! :)
A great starting point to coding! The classes are easy to follow and understand and the follow-up exercises are great to consolidate what has been learned.

I was skeptical about coding for a long time as I had assumed that it was not for me, due to some past coding related trauma. However, the SheCodes workshop proved me wrong. Matt's instructions were simple, easy to follow and now I don't comprehend what I was so scared about.
SheCodes is absolutely a fantastic beginner friendly web-development class anyone can learn. I certainly recommend this workshop for anyone who interested in challenging and exploring new creativity crafts/ anyone in transition of a new career. By the way, Matt crafted the courses in a way that was effortless and uncomplicated for anyone to understand what they are learning. The courses are easy to comprehend and follow whilst being fun. Waaw I can't believe this journey got to an end. I spent 3 amazing months learning how to code, from the induction learning CSS and HTML to JavaScript and React. It has been a great opportunity to be able to immerse myself in programming and I would definitely recommend these workshops to anyone who is interested in coding. I cannot explain how happy I am for being able to learn with Matt Delac and the SheCodes team, it was so inspiring that I applied to continue my studies in a Dev bootcamp, starting in April. I am thrilled about the new world I have just discovered!

Matt's videos are clear and the Slack channel is helpful when I get stuck. I was SO amazed at what we were able to do with the weather API. I now see such a cool range of possibilities for Javascript and I can't wait to go on to React!
SO MANY FEELINGS: so happy because it was a super fun journey through all these courses, but sad because it is over :) :( . This one was a real challenge, but as always Matt was able to explain and demonstrate everything perfectly. I am very happy that I had discovered SheCodes in this last summer, and I cannot be more thankfull to Matt and the whole team for having created and maintained this academy. Never in my life I would though to become passionate about frontend development. In my few years of experience, I always loved the backend component, and hated the frontend. Never understood CSS or HTML, and was scare to engage in the React thing. But after this experience I learned A LOT and actually have decided to try to change my career to be more frontend"ish" . I truly and deeply advise every women who wants to improve their frontend technicall skills to enjoy this amazing journey. Be safe!

Good basics and very easy to understand. Got stuck a few times but the group solved the problem in no time. Would definitely recommend if your knowledge about coding is zero. It makes you want the lessons for the week to never get to an end.

I had so much fun doing the workshop. Even though coding was a new world for me, Matt made it so easy to understand. The lessons are well explained, and what I liked the most, was that after every lesson, we had the chance to practice what we learned. An effective and funny class. The workload is well balanced and the program is well structured. Also, through Slack chats you can access to all the necessary support. I have to admit that I will miss this workshop.
I was really amazed by the content and structure of the course. Combining short, precise "theory" parts with exercises and the possibility to regularly review the content in terms of homework is really great. It perfectly fits with a busy work schedule and I am really keen on keeping learning. But to be honest the greatest benefit is the community: Matt and the whole team are really helpful and it is great to connect with the other students.

SheCodes Workshops has been quite a ride... The react workshop is the final lap of a road and undoubtedly the most challenging and rewarding one. It is unbelievable how much can be learned during 5 months with the adequate direction, and guidance from tutors who absolutely love their work and share not only their knowledge but passion about it. I feel now passionate myself about the new brave coding world. Amazing.
SheCodes tutorials were really interesting and easy to follow with Matt's teaching, it was really fun to understand how to build this! I'm keen to continue coding and learn more in the future.

I've learnt so much from SheCodes Plus; I was a complete beginner before I did the SheCodes Workshop and I'm very proud of what I can now do. The Plus course has been challenging and was more intensive than the Workshop but it is broken up into manageable sections and you can do the lessons whenever you want so you can fit it around your routine. I'm looking forward to learning more in the React course!

A great opportunity for self-starters to learn how to code and have a taste of what is required in Front End Dev career. Matt explains every step very thoroughly, additionally giving you a lot of time in between to practice on our own. With SheCodes coding is fun and exciting!

From beautician to front-end developer!!! A year ago I couldn't imagine changing my career, but the pandemic pushed me to evaluate my current position. It was the best decision I've ever made. SheCodes course was exactly something I was looking for to accelerate into a different industry. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up with the course, but the lessons were very well structured and easy to follow. SheCodes Plus workshops changed my approach to career - I know that hard work can take me very very far. Although I still have a long way to go, I already know that participation in the SheCodes workshop was the best decision in my life. At first, I didn't think I'd find a new passion, I bought the course out of curiosity. I wanted to learn something new, completely different from what I do on a daily basis. After a few weeks of learning, I created a working weather app - I am very proud of myself! You can learn a lot during the SheCodes workshops, but the most important thing is to have the curiosity to explore topics, because programming is a huge area. There is an infinite number of solutions to a given problem - often when you go through one door you see at least ten more :) And that's great about coding - the variety of interpretations, solutions and approaches.
I highly recommend SheCodes.The classes are well-structured and you get a lot of new knowledge with each class without feeling overwhelmed.
I came across SheCodes on instagram and decided to give it a try since I am studying IT Management in college and wanting to upgrade my coding skills, Over the 3 weeks I have really enjoyed what I have learned and the workshops are really detailed and go through everything piece by piece. It was really challenging at times but definitely worth the time and I am glad I decided to do it! Definitely a good experience for beginner Coders!

This Workshop was excellent for me as a beginner! It was pretty fun to code with the lessons. The final project is really relevant and inspired me to continue my journey to become a coder. I highly recommend it.
The course is well-structured and is just right for beginners, the lectures and coursework are all manageable as long as you follow the instructions step by step. I feel accomplished being able to create a simple webpage through coding in just 3 weeks.

Having had an interest in coding, I participated in SheCodes Express a few months ago and was inspired by Matt's way of breaking down previously foreign concepts into simple terms that I just had to try the Online workshop. I stumbled across SheCodes when I scrolled through Instagram - it straight away captured my attention and suddenly I was on Matt's intro class, registering for the real workshop and starting to code for the first time in my life. I have to say Matt's way of busting the myth of "nerdy, impossible-to-learn-at-this-age" coding is super effective. I am still a galaxy away from a professional programmer but learning how to code (and read them) made me understand workflows, app design / implementation process, its behaviour, and digital space in general. This helps me a lot in my career where I build use cases for people and their business when they evaluate a CRM (I work at Salesforce), as well as for my personal learning. Keep up the good work Matt, Daniela, and team! π―

I have to admit that React was pretty hard work to understand and get used to, nonetheless it was very interesting to learn about it. This course is a good foundation to understand how front-end with react works, it needs quite a bit of practice but just as everything, if you enjoy coding, practice makes perfect.

Shecodes has really helped my skills in coding. Did not know how to code at all but now I know how to do it. I can now complete my computer science degree thanks to SheCodes. I highly recommend women to taking this course because the industry is male dominated. I learned so much in 3 weeks I feel like a pro coder. I am currently working in the Sales Department at a Tech company and I signed up for SheCodes as a way to up-skill and broaden my technical knowledge. I started as a beginner since all the knowledge that I had was based on my MySpace HTML time, from about 15 years ago π The workshop is easy to follow and the challenges and homework fun to solve. SheCodes comes with a great community of other women interested in coding that you can connect and interact with via Slack π©πΌβπ»π©π½βπ»π©πΏβπ»and support is always available too! The past 3 weeks have been so insightful and I am looking forward to SheCodes Plus!
Thank you for this wonderful workshop on Front-End Development. It is very straight-forward and geared at teaching you how to build a functioning weather-app in no time. Additionally, every student learns how to create a project on GitHub and connect it to Netlify and use APIs for a web-app. I will admit that there will be tough learning curves. However, there is a wonderful Slack-Community where we help each other out. If you don't have too much coding knowledge, I would highly recommend this.

Really clear, comprehensive explanations on each subject. Weather app is a good project to start your journey as it includes a lot of useful programming skills, and I leave this course with, what I feel, is a good understanding of them
I really liked it, sometimes it was hard to understand what was going on, so i learned more in the solution videos than the learn video.
