Wow, the React Add-on workshop was a test of both patience and skill. Really fun, but also challenging because this time I chose to build the project after a totally different design. For me that haven't coded much before, this was quite difficult, but since Matt is a inspiring teacher it all turned out just fine in the end. π

SheCodes has been an amazing platform and tool to learn coding and keep up with the latest tech today. I never got the chance to learn coding in college so I was glad to be able to find a program that was both interactive and very resourceful for new coders. He gave us a coding lesson during IT class but it wasn't from scratch we got to repeat his code but we were excited to create our website. Since then, I wanted to learn how to code but due to my family's financial background, I couldn't afford a laptop. I enjoyed going through the JavaScript section a lot! I gave this course 4* because I wish we had gone more in depth in JavaScript basics, before building the whole project. While Matt is a great teacher I do think the videos could have more explanations on why something is being done :) All in all, a great course to get you acquainted with the development flow and getting to build a whole project with the last weeks is very fun :)

I highly enjoyed this course because it helps to expand my knowledge in JavaScript and it is a good experience for me. We built an interesting project for Meteo App that can be good example of JavaScript functions in real use. Our teacher prepares great video tutorials which were instrumental using in our daily projects. I am glad I took it and hope to take another in the near future.

The Responsive lesson is the valuable lesson I've been waiting for; it teaches you to code websites that work for computer screens AND mobile devices. For the final project, we were to create a portfolio website. The site I created accomplishes the goals of the workshop and a little more, but I hope to use it to recreate my personal website instead of the site I have hosted on a web builder right now. I took inspiration from the teacher, my existing site, and other open-sourced projects from other students to create my project.

The workshop was easy to follow, the lessons were split up into good chunks and that made it possible to learn new things whenever there was time for it. The workshop prepared me well and allowed me to practice every new thing I learned, so I actually felt like I didn't need a lot of help to get my project done. It is a perfect basic course for those, who only start their journey in a coding sphere. The lessons are short and clear. There are bunch of exercises for self study. Having started the course with absolutely zero knowledge of coding, I feel a massive sense of achievement. The course is designed to enable participants to access lessons for manageable periods of time.
