This workshop gave me the confidence I needed to start my new career journey in web development! I can't wait to see where I go from here.
It is a great course. I don't work or want to work in this area, but I felt that the basic knowledge was important. In the end, I have learned more than I was expecting and had a lot of fun in the process.

The SheCodes Plus workshop is well explained and practical. There is a nice combination of video's and practicing. You learn by working on your own project. I didn't expect to be able to make weather app in such a short time! The last lessons enable you to start another nice project on your own, after finishing the workshop.

What an amazing way to learn how to code! Everything is explained super clearly in the video's of Matt and there is always a helping hand in the Slack channel to solve your questions. This course helped me a lot to get a better understanding of the world of coding :-)

I had an interest in learning how to code but I thought it was going to be hard for me to learn. SheCodes made it easy to understand, and enjoyable to learn. I always felt like if I was stuck on something, help was right there. Matt explained each assignment/homework so that it wasn't difficult. He made everything do much easier to understand. I'm looking forward to using the skills I have gained from SheCodes!
SheCodes is a great place to start learning code. I was a skeptical at first because my young mind doesn't do well with people telling me exactly what I should be doing and not giving me the freedom of making my own projects or learning on my own. Matt's lesson give you very clear knowledge and so much room to learn things in your own way and at your own pace. I hope everyone can learn as much as I did. Can't wait to go out and learn more! π

I'm so glad that I had the determination to initiate this course! It's been years ago since I felt curious about coding but never felt it was the right moment and I dind't know where to start. Like most people, I had the idea that it was a difficult and innaccessible subject, plus, my area of study is not related to it (psychology). But this course is so well structured and the lessons are so clear that it made me realize it is possible to understand the basic principles and enjoy it. In summary, I think I've learnt something really worthy and as my limiting beliefs faded I feel encouraged to continue my journey in the world of programming!
I started this coding course with zero experience, and I enjoyed it very much. It is practical and I would recommend to anyone who are interested in coding!!
I really enjoyed these few weeks coding with you! As Matt says in the free coding class you can learn to code on your own for free on Internet, but here you have exercises, materials and video lessons already prepared for you. All you need to know is how to schedule your time :) Great workshop!

Good start to my coding skills
I love that this program is mostly self paced. You do have deadlines to keep you on track but it is doable. Matt explains the material simply and easy to understand. Make sure to take notes during the videos to compare your work.
I was so hesitant about my computer skills in the beginning! With more practice though I was able to start coding and create my first project! I am excited to start next week's class. :)
I never thought I'd be able to program since I never considered myself tech-savvy, not really. In the beginning, I was a little hesitant to give it a chance, but I found my courage and I even managed to surprised myself. The explanations are very clear and Matt also teaches in a way you can find solutions yourself and rationalize the ones he gives you
I am glad that I decided to take this workshop. It's really cool how easy and fun the learning process was. But at the same time, we had complicated homework and projects. I only took three week's workshop, but it gave me an understanding of Front-End Development.

Very good. Whilst I appreciate that React is comprehensive and this course certainly teaches you a lot, and I'm sure certainly covers the basics, there were many times during the development of the App through the teaching that other aspects of React were alluded to but were not fully covered or explained. I only wish these were elaborated upon. Otherwise, a fantastic course with a great online support team and brilliant intructional videos made by Matt.

I'm so happy I got the chance to learn coding with SheCodes. This is a huge step for me, I never thought I'd be reading, writing and understanding code in such a short time. SheCode's methodology makes it so easy to start coding from day one. There's still a lot to learn, but now I feel prepared to get into the world of coding.
Wow! Finally I can shout JOB DONE! In honesty, it's challenging in every way, as it's a new world of thinking and understanding. I will never regret the choice of spending nearly 6 full months doing this part-time course, it has not only given me a new way of thinking but also created new project plans within coding and art!
Matt explains each and every logic behind all the variables so well that, if you have a little imagination and endurance to trial/failure process, you can even do more than the things you learned in the lectures. But I am definitely going to take other classes too!

I started to learn how to code as a pass time during the pandemic. SheCodes is a perfect way to get introduced into the tech world.
Love the SheCodes format, it's manageable around full time work and family commitments with easy to digest modules and feels really empowering to be able to achieve so much within an area that is often made to feel out of reach.
I consider SheCodes as the most powerful teaching platform. Matt customized the course material while putting himself into our shoes and this was the main reason I could manage to complete the course. (I started from Workshop, took Plus course, and this was the most challenging one.) Matt can teach very complicated information into a simple but sophisticated way and thanks to him I could carry on my interest in coding and motivation to learn more towards all the way down to the end of this course. I would like to recognize countless and continuous supports that I got through Slack group chat platform. While observing other peer students` success such as completing weekly tasks (exercise or projects), I gained positive vibes from those who already moved to the next stage and I tried again with never-give-up spirits. Programming is a combination of simple coding. Human created programming to control (or perhaps communicate with) the machine in a simpler way. While celebrating the completion of SheCodes React course, I would like to consider SheCodes as the well-structured stepping stone that I can always refer to. Last but not least, I would like to show my appreciation to Matt who kindly followed his value, inspired by his mom, sharing the professional knowledge to empower women on the IT field. Even though I did not have much interaction with peer students who are located all over the world, I do consider the feeling of the solidarity with them. It would be interesting to have an interaction with alumni by having a reunion or graduates` association to check how alumni are doing after the graduation. Matt`s core passion and his power of execution motivated me to take step forward my own version of contribution to the world. Thank you SheCodes staffs, Matt, Joao, Sara!

SheCodes has taught me so much in only 3 weeks, I now have a good understanding of the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and how it all fits together to build a webpage. I find myself exploring the code of webpages that I come across via the inspect option in Google Chrome. I particularly enjoyed the final project where I have applied my learning to build my very own landing page. Even if I do not take SheCodes further I can say that I have learned skills and knowledge which are highly valuable in the digital age that we live in.
I enjoyed the course very much! It was challenging enough but at the same time easy to follow. I also had some trouble submitting the final project and received help right away! I had an amazing experience.

I am beyond happy I took courage and did this workshop. I was nervous because I didn't have any previous experience in computers or programming but Matt's way of teaching step by step was perfect for me. I'm a stay at home mom with three girls (8, 5, 2 years old) and the fact that I could do all the classes and challenges on my own time really helped a lot. As a gradueted fashion designer I looked for something else to learn. Coding always had my interested but I never took the action to learn. I came across shecodes and took the opportunity. I just finished my second course and designed my own weather app! I learned so much and really enjoyed my time coding. Next step: Shecodes Reactβ€οΈ
Learning React with SheCodes was a great time. The lessons were short, focused around a specific topic and easy to follow. Thanks to that, there's no way to feel overwhelmed or bored. The challenges were stimulating and fun to do. It was so satisfying to observe my app evolving with the skills gained throughout the course. I feel like my code is now looking much neater than in vanilla project. Starting my coding adventure, I was pretty scared that all of this will be too hard for me to understand. I'm glad that I overcame this feeling and realised that it isn't necessary to have a tech background to complete SheCodes workshop triad. I highly recommend it to everyone interested in frontend.
