The SheCodes Plus workshop was not an easy one to learn, especially when it came to learning API Integration. Juggling work and learning coding was also not easy, but I managed to do it and get this certificate as the video lessons were not long and were precise. Matt is also very good at explaining things to a beginner. That is what made the lessons easy to understand. He teaches as if he knows what a beginner would most likely want to know.

After I finished SheCodes Basic I went immediately started with SheCodes Plus. The combination of short teaching videos, followed by challenges during which you immediately apply the learnt material makes this so satisfying. SheCodes Plus truly gave me a better understanding of coding. The projects were excited and at times complex but i thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Learning is one thing but replicating or creating something from scratch with comprehension is another thing. Coding requires logic and continuing the journey requires persistence. Coding is challenging, and requires time, effort, and trial and error. Passion is not necessary but it can help. So why do I love coding or continue to find myself doing this? I believe its because I can bring an idea to life by words. We do not hear this a lot but coding and creativity sounds like two different worlds which in fact work well together. Advanced CSS and JS was a beast together with codesandbox, but I was an even greater beast! I fought, I almost quit, but kept on fighting and here I am. Someone previously commented "Be encouraged and keep at it!", a special thank you to them, due to the particular comment amongst many other things I kept fighting. Moreover, I cannot get enough of the lessons, I just want to keep doing them. I like to say "There is so much to learn and see," I love learning and SheCodes Plus definitely had a lot of learning. I cannot wait for the next phase, I cannot help but wonder what other interesting things are there for me. This workshop was with no doubt much more challenging than its predecessor, however it's completely worth it. JavaScript demands a lot of thinking and comprehension of its concepts and this workshop does a good job to deliver such demands. I learned a lot from Shecodes Responsive! I never know Bootstrap before. Now I can utilize the available codes in Bootstrap to make a website. It is so much easier! However, to navigate Bootstrap, you really need to know the basic in coding which covered in Shecodes Basic and Shecodes Plus. Thanks to Shecodes, I have been learning how to code through Shecodes Basic and Shecodes Plus.

Matt continues to be a fantastic teacher. I now have a much more secure grasp of workflow, project development and the processes required when building a webpage. SheCodes Plus Add-On helped to consolidate my understanding of date and time functionality in Java Script and I was able to continue to hone my skills in HTML, CSS and Java Script. SheCodes Plus is certainly more challenging than SheCodes Basic. This project helped me learn a lot of new technologies, taught me how to work with an API and how to use GitHub and host a website. I can’t wait to keep learning with SheCodes 😊
