This has been an amazing journey! I started with the first course thinking I would stop after the basics level...but I have loved learning how to code and completed every course available. I chose SheCodes because it was structured (deadlines, I need them) but also flexible (I was still teaching full time so I was coding on weekends). I know that there is SO much more to learn, but I am excited and ready for it. As a transitioning teacher, I never considered FrontEnd Developer as an option for me, but now I do. ❤️. AMAZING!!! Matt is a really talented teacher. I started my coding journey with SheCodes basic, fell in love with coding, and decided to make a career shift. I then enrolled in a university bootcamp (BIG mistake) and I dropped out because the tutors were not as talented in explaining the material as Matt and the curriculum was rushed and unorganized, I then decided to sign up for SheCodes Pro and I could immediately notice the difference! I am telling you if you enjoyed your SheCodes basic course, go for it and invest in the SheCodesPro, it is worth every penny! Organized material, an immersive curriculum, fun and engaging challenges, and a super supportive team!
Was it easy, nope it wasn't but it was simplified for anyone to understand and the good news is that when stuck, the team comes to your rescue. We have a wonderful instructor in Matt and a wonderful team in SheCodes without which I am not sure I would have been able to do this as other coding lessons made coding too complicated but here I am today enjoying coding with SheCodes. I am glad on the new path I have chosen, it is something I enjoyed doing and I will do it over and over again I want to use this opportunity to encourage every female out there who wants to code but is scared, don't be scared anymore, SheCodes got you covered, if I can, then you can.
React wasn't easy, but I had so much fun learning and practicing. The dictionary project was so cute and fun. I'm so proud of myself that I could learn, and enjoy to do this at the same time. Thank you Matt, and all the team of SheCodes. I really appreciate all of you guys!
SheCodes made coding seem much less intimidating than I initially thought. I had fun building websites and working through each small challenge.
The workshop for beginners is really beginners-friendly! All lessons are short, good structured and easy to understand. The instructor is supporting and always encourages you to explore a subject, discover different ways of solving the same situation and not to be afraid of making mistake which keeps you motivated a lot. I have already recomened the workshop to my friends and I'm sure I will do it again!
I really enjoyed learning more about HTML, CSS, and JS in this course. I thought the weather app project was challenging but a great test of what we truly learned in the workshop. I'm looking forward to continuing on my SheCodes journey in the next one.
As I always said for other workshops; it was hard, but the way matt taught, the amount of information in each lesson and part, his attitude, and the way he explained subjects changed everything about coding for me. Thank you so much for this opportunity💚🌿
I have experience with HTML and CSS, however JavaScript has always been a struggle. I've tried many other resources and couldn't get an understanding of JS where I felt comfortable to move on. SheCodes Basics was just what I needed to move forward with my learning.
I am very glad that I took this course. Now I am sure that I want and can continue my full education in SheCodes.
Three weeks ago I didn't know anything about programming and all those letters and numbers intimidated me a lot. Now, thanks to SheCodes and easy-to-understand lessons that can be rewatched multiple times, I can say that this is just the beginning. I can't say it was an easy journey but definitely it was quite interesting and challenging. Sometimes I felt overwhelmed with capabilities of JS. Sometimes I felt that my brain was going to explode. I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes basics class because the SheCodes team makes coding a website extremely approachable! I used to be timid about anything tech/code related, but I feel encouraged to try out different layouts, functions, designs, and ways of interacting with a webpage user now! I also loved that there were smaller challenges throughout each module to warm me up to the big assignments/the final project. The SheCodes team was also very kind and flexible in helping me complete the course while working around my work schedule.

The project in this course is really great to be able to say that you built. It's exciting to not only see the process of using an API, but actually implementing it into your project. Would recommend!

Through SheCodes self-paced learning curriculum, I became more knowledgeable about what I was learning. My confidence in the material increased as a result. It's been a great workshop! I came with zero coding experience (and I mean z-e-r-o) and I had a lot of fun while learning! The lessons are very informative, some concepts were easier, some were harder, but all the instructions were clear. It's great to be able to do check my understanding by completing challenges and homework. Having taught myself, I can appreciate the logic of the course, the flow and steps of the course made sense and made the whole experience quite fun.

I absolutely and highly recommend this workshop for learning the basics. Near the end of the workshop, I got excited knowing this is where the creativity comes to play. I don't know my limitations when it comes to web development and coding, but what I've gained from this experience is that I became expressive and felt the freedom in my creativity and I can't wait for the next workshops and to challenge myself further.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect when signing up for SheCodes. I had zero knowledge on coding and felt a bit intimidated by them. But by watching the videos, a complete newbie like me was able to understand. The workshops are clear and concise, so much so you just have to have determination to learn

I really liked the Basic course from SheCodes. Everything is explained well and not boring, as it's sometimes found in other courses, because after those i was always thinking like "is it that i want to do?". I can say, that I will definitely continue to improve my skills. It's great that there is a place where all women can get decent knowledge by studying in a comfortable and friendly environment. This has been a great experience, by far it has really allowed me to understand a bit more of coding. The course is very interactive and some languages took a bit more time to understand. It was rewarding to see that using all three languages could creating a wonderful page.
