A great course for beginners. The challenges prepare you well for the homework at the end of the week and if necessary there is quick support via slack!
I have absolutely loved my journey with SheCodes thus far. The lessons are digestible, interesting, and activity-based, making it easier to learn as you go. You'll quickly find that Matt is a great Instructor because he makes the content approachable and fun. Coming from a background in UX Design, this program was the perfect first step to learn about the world of code - particularly to strengthen my relationship with the Developers on my team. Due to the pandemic, I was forced to reevaluate my career path in a hurry. I came across the SheCodes ad on IG offering a free introduction. I thought, "why not?" After joining the free hour long intro, I decided that taking the 3 week course would be a great way to try coding with minimal risk. I thoroughly enjoy this beginner course and I look forward to furthering my skills.
I tried to learn coding a few years ago on my own and it ended with me in tears and feeling like a failure. I was totally turned off of coding from the experience. Now, I have completed SheCodes introductory course and it was very stress free! Everything was explained in a way where an absolute beginner like myself could understand it without any trouble. I have a new found love for coding and I will continue to build on this skill!
I've really enjoyed the online coding workshop and this is a very intense training, but worth it. Matt is a great instructor and the materials from the challenges and homework are highly structured and very helpful. The tips given throughout the workshop were just great!

I did a SheCodes Workshop last year and loved it so much, I decided to apply to SheCodes Plus. I wanted to practice more, to know more about code and the logic behind it. It complements my work as a copywriter perfectly, it is challenging, but the instructors provide the space for dialogue and learning. Loved it and look forward to more code in my life.

I never thought that coding would be so fun! Just in less than three weeks you get to acquire useful skills and take on new challenges. Matt's explanations make the lessons very easy to follow, and the rest of the staff is very attentive and helpful. This course has made learning how to code so fun and exciting. I've always been hesitant on taking coding bootcamps due to lack of time but I absolutely love how this is structured to be for people who are in school or in the workforce full time. Matt explains things in a clear and concise way and the real time assistance via Slack gives me reassurance for whenever I run into issues. I'm looking forward on upgrading to the next workshop!

A fun way to get a sense of the some coding fundamentals/basics.
The workshop was very well structured. What I liked the most is that after every lesson there was a practical exercise. I also enjoyed weekly projects where you could implement everything what we learned over the week.

SheCodes Workshop is an exceptional place to learn the basic coding HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I have been trying to learn by my own with free platforms before knowing SheCodes and basically I was only memorizing codes and not understanding how to combine html and css at the same time. With SheCodes Workshop you learn by doing since the very beginning and it is the way how we really absorbe knowledge. Matt Delac explains concepts on a simple and concise way. He also organized and made interactive exercises where you have to investigate yourself some codes. I will definitely upgrade for SheCodes Plus.

Taking the first course of SheCodes was the best decision I could've taken, especially in this quarantine, that has left many of us with a lot of time at our hands. I'm happy I started it and want to continue with their other courses. The first course, in my opinion,introduces you in the world of the "backstage" that I had very little knowledge of. Excellent course for busy people. Matt is a natural and engaging teacher - he keeps the lessons challenging, but doesn't overwhelm with too much information in one go. New information and skills are built up gradually and logically - he really puts himself in the shoes of a beginner, but more importantly, treats you like a *capable* beginner. I've definitely caught the coding bug (so to speak!) and will be continuing for another few months of lessons.
This was a great intro class to coding and I am so excited to continue learning this amazing new skill. I feel much more confident after this course than I did going in, with my ability to learn new programming languages.
I came across this workshop via an Instagram advertisement and decided to go with it due to the female working environment. I found that the workshops are easy to manage while having a job as you complete each lesson at your own pace.
Brilliant! I had been toying with the idea of studying code for a while but I was reluctant as I had no previous experience whatsoever with coding and I had no idea if it would be something I could actually do, or enjoy. I watched the SheCodes Express and decided that I would give it a go. It turns out I enjoyed this 3 weeks more than I was expecting as the videos are easy to follow, Matt gives you great advice and if we get stuck, we can always count on the team to help us out on Slack. It was challenging at times, but also very rewarding when you get to see the result of something youΒ΄ ve built. Thank you all at SheCodes! π

I really loved the workshop! Matt is a great teacher and is so passionate about what he does! Although my background is in finance, I absolutely loved learning about coding. Coding to me sounded very complex at the beginning. But after completing the three week workshop, i can say that i understand coding much better now and that I have successfully coded my first webpage using HTML, CSS and Javascript! I know what you are thinking... "SIMPLE?? Hummm Hummm...Have you forgotten about "addEventListener" or "function whatIsWrongWithMyCode"???" No I havenΒ΄t! And yes, I will have to admit that it was not that simple all the times... Therefore I shall rephrase it to "challenging yet adventurous!" There is something really unique and special about coding and seeing one's ideias become reality with a "challenging yet adventurous" line of code (Indeed, much more accurate!) Besides Matt being an excellent tutor, the workshop is designed for you to learn step by step, you can learn to your rhythm and manage your time during the week. Besides, you can rely on extra help from the community and by SheCodes. Each class is well structured and encourages you to go behind and search for extra things online, which is the main source of new things to put on the codes. Also, the material support (like videos, solutions, code, etc) are really god. I did not expect to learn some much in just three weeks. I really enjoy it! I started from zero, for a person who doesn't really enjoy online learning, I am happy that I took this workshop, had a great experience ...the whole process was super easy to follow, from the basics to the very end and when I did panic there was always someone willing to help ; I am very proud of what I have accomplish so far; when I looked at code before I was so scared because it looked like something from another planet π but now I feel pretty confident to keep learning and improve my knowledge. I will totally recommend it for total beginners.

I do believe it's never too late to start pursuing something you always want to do and it's happened to me with coding. SheCodes is so fun and so helpful! I started the program without even really knowing what coding actually was and three weeks later I've built a whole page. It was very affordable and helpful. The videos are straight forward and interesting, and the lessons run in a very orderly way that makes a lot of sense. I liked it so much I'm excited to launch right into Plus and would definitely recommend it even for the coding-curious and absolute beginners.
This was my first coding class and I loved the format! Getting to move at my own pace but being held accountable for weekly deadlines was really motivating without being overwhelming. I also loved being able to leverage Slack when needed for help on assignments or just to see whether others were encountering the same challenges I had. SheCodes is a true community!

I'm so glad I found SheCodes! I'm currently looking into switching to a career in tech so I've been using different platforms to learn how to code. SheCodes really helped me to understand what I've been learning already with all the challenges, and the project. Before I was just absorbing information, but after going through this program I feel a lot more confident about coding. I would suggest using another coding program at the same time as you're completing the SheCodes basic workshop since you don't dive too deep into HTML, CSS, and Javascript. But if you sign up for the other workshops you most likely won't have to do that. Overall I really enjoyed this workshop!
Hello, I was excited to take this class but due to personal circumstances, I could never take it. Then the pandemic hit, and I suddenly was allotted way more time to focus on a new skill to improve my resume and overall knowledge. Although it was hard to balance home life and this class, I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. This class provides you the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript so that way you can expand on that learning in the future. Thanks Matt!
I loved how every video at SheCodes focused on a different topic, making it really easy to follow or go back when in doubt. Both the explanations and videos complemented each other really well. I had some prior knowledge of coding, but now I can say I understand more in-depth what I do thanks to each and one of the exercises. Although I did not have to use Slack much for doubts, it felt great to know I could ask anything when in need. I love how beginner friendly the SheCodes Express Workshop is. The information is presented in a way that is easy to understand.
