I cannot believe I built for the first time my own land page! I went from zero knowledge on programming to coding with three different languages. The course was great and I can't wait to start the advanced course!

My SheCodes experiences was amazing! The workshop was super easy and user friendly. Coding can be intimidating, but Matt explains each lesson clearly and the challenges are easy to do. If you're stuck with a challenge, someone from the SheCodes team is always willing to help. Before SheCodes my experience with coding was only through Myspace and Tumblr. This workshop is a great foundation if you're curious about coding and would like to learn coding. Thank you Matt for creating this workshop for women. Now I'm confident that I have a chance in the tech world among the men. I can't wait to use what I've learned in the workshop and apply it my next job.

It was a great experience. I like puzzles and when something didn't go the way I expected, it was fun figuring out what was wrong.
I've never learned how to code before. Doing the SheCodes workshop was a great decision that I made for the 1st step on my coding journey. It may be overwhelming and tough at first, but keep at it and eventually, you will figure it out, and enjoy it in the process. Thank you SheCodes for giving me this chance to learn how to code. There were times I was frustrated and a little frightened because of the unknown, but those are the moments when I believe I learned the most. I believe it is true that anyone can learn to code. You have to be patient and not give up. You have to keep at it, keep trying, ask for help when you need it. Coding teaches you how to be a problem solver and that can be the most rewarding part. I have recommended this class to others. I love that it is a learning platform just for women. Thank you, Matt, for your contribution to closing the gender gap between men and women in coding. Please keep up the great work! I look forward to next week when I start the SheCodes Plus workshop
I really enjoyed being able to both work at my own pace but have something holding me accountable so I didn't get behind. I loved how everything built upon each other. The lessons were quick but powerful. I was able to create something new and something I was proud of!

Most lessons have easy-to-follow instructions, but there are times you have to search for the answer on your own. That can be frustrating, but it is extremely gratifying when you finally figure it out!
I truly enjoyed taking this class. What I appreciated most was the pace. I didn't feel rushed and as each week progressed, I felt even more comfortable. I enjoyed doing the final project. This class is a great first step in becoming a web developer. I look forward to the next workshop.
Coding was something completely new to me, but the SheCodes Workshop has been an incredible journey! SheCodes helps you by introducing you to the world of programming, with its weekly classes it is very easy to follow and to understand. Coding does take a lot of dedication and perseverance, with SheCodes and its community it becomes easier when feeling stuck at some point, there is always someone to support you along the way. I took the first step and now feel more confident about continuing my path in the hopes of being a developer with high standards and a strong knowledge base.
When i started SheCodes i was not sure what to expect. However, I enjoyed learning html, CSS and JavaScript with sheCodes because of the super organized classes and the tremendous help that is available for the students. Thank you SheCodes π!

Being a hands on learner, it helped to go by step by step with Matt as he was explaining things. Repetition is key!! Definitely was challenging at times and frustration can be part of growing process but in a healthy way. Once you begin to get the hang of it, the learning process becomes easier. You'll feel accomplished! I was super pleased with the end result!

I got a good idea of what I could do with Html, CSS, and Javascript. SheCodes has given me a sound foundation on which I can further build my understanding of web development.
I loved it! The challenges were fun (and so frustrating sometimes) and I feel like I learned a lot. I'm a teenager and had final exams at school throughout most of the course so I maybe didn't get as much out of it as I could've, but it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it to basically anyone.
I must say that the last few weeks were very interesting and full of new discoveries. Who would have thought coding was so much fun and at the same time also frustrating. Especially when your own knowledge on the subject is lacking or you just need to find a solution to a problem that seams giant at first but then is just a typo (mostly). I am so happy I took the time this year to learn a new skill and try out coding back in April with SheCodes Workshop and continued with SheCodes Plus. I can not wait to see what coding future I can discover and learn some more about programming. Thank you Team SheCodes for support and hard work reading our messy codes :D and thx to Matt for the videos on the subjects.
Hi everyone from SheCodes workshop, I would like to thank you for challenging months. I realy liked to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript and worked on challenges. Learning how to work with API, Github or hosting was very very useful. I highly recomended this course becouse coding is fun, you can improve your skills and find good job. :)
I have had so much fun learning to code. Although I have definitely found some of the modules hard, I have really enjoyed figuring out how to do it and solving problems. As someone with (what I thought was) good computer knowledge, SheCodes has opened my eyes to so much more. As a student ready to start University, I have experienced some of what my degree may offer me. It has also became a hobby I wish to partake in as much as possible and expand my computer science knowledge further. I've always wanted to learn more about coding and in the past few weeks, I've been able to learn and practice a lot of information. The weekly workshops are informative and well-thought-out and the challenges make you exercise what you've learned. The weekly homework grew off of each other each week to make the final project more manageable. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who's been curious about coding!
Since I was a total beginner this basic course was perfect for me since the lessons were exactly my level. I have tried other tutorials before but ended up not finishing most of them because I would not understand the basics and was not knowing what I was doing. I can`t wait to start SheCodes Plus!
I subscribed to learn a new skill: coding. SheCodes had a way of doing this fast, easy and with a lot of help. The movies are short so you can start working from the beginning. I loved the pace, what we learned and my new hobby. Thank you!

I fully enjoyed SheCodes. Every lesson I felt challenged and eager to learn more. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get a good solid foundation into coding. Matt explains every perfectly and encourages you to try more. Before SheCodes, I had no idea how easy HTML, CSS and JavaScript could be to understand. I had this idea that only a genius could build websites, format pages or even just read the languages. I have high hopes for my coding future after SheCodes, I now have a new desire to keep going in my coding career! What's next? Maybe Python or Ruby.. who knows. All I know is that I owe my foundation to SheCodes!
Having neatly zero knowledge of programming language before march 2020, in a couple of weeks through SheCodes and SheCodes Plus courses I managed to start taking my baby steps on the programming world. SheCodes Plus is a huge step forward, compared to SheCodes introduction. I would highly recommend taking this next level to get more confident and comfortable with CSS and HTML, but mostly to develop your JavaScript Skills. On SheCodes plus, not only you learn the tolls, skills and resources to be more independent in coding. You also learn how to use GitHub, host your projects online and, more importantly understand how these tools can also help you boost your CV and showcase your projects to potential employers! I cannot describe how helpful and how much did I learned during these last 8 weeks. It was extraordinary and allowed me to feel so much more empowered. Now, I can't wait to proceed with React! Again, I find Matt a really good tutor and the supporting Slack Team extraordinary. They have been an undeniable asset on this journey.
I had absolutely no idea how to code. I thought it would be unreal to make something what I did with this beginner course. But that was fun and even easy. I'm going to continue my coding journey and find out other fun stuff to make using code :)
I have been searching for a comprehensive beginner's program for a while and this is the best decision I could have made! The structure of the program is unique and I enjoyed it very much. If you are willing to commit and follow the guidelines it will be a memorable experience. I am very happy i was able to participate and i highly recommend it , especially for first time coders. βΊ

Definitely more of a challenge than the initial workshop. I think I still have a lot of practicing to do before I move on to the React course, but now I have a scope of what it's like to be constantly challenged and using resources to the best I can.
Totally loved the SheCodes Introduction to Coding Workshop! I had so much fun working on all of the challenges and learning how to code, and now I have a very good understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript!

SheCodes Plus is a great way to make your introduction to Front-End Development. You'll learn a lot and challenge yourself while building a hands-on, fun and useful app as your final project. The lessons are clear and straight to the point. The Slack community is great to meet other coders and ask for help with your project.
I used to think that coding was impossible for me, but I was wrong! SheCodes Workshop has taught me that learning coding is possible for everyone and that it is also a lot of fun! I really enjoyed this course and I would highly recommend it!

The online classes were very informative coupled with help from Slack, I was able to learn a lot thru mistakes and advice. The SheCodes website works well and assistance is amazing (they go all out to help you even on weekends!!). I went on to create mini-apps just as a self-learning journey. The SheCodes Workshop was a fun and accessible introduction to coding. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, and Matt's tutorials explained everything in a very clear way! I loved how the final assignment allowed me to practice my new coding skills, while having lots of creative freedom! Now I definitely want to learn more!

In highschool, coding is presented as a career for only men and very boring, but actually it is challenging and entertaining. I would join more courses just to be my best on this path. Shecodes provides professional online learning videos of coding. In the beginning, I feel nervous and anxious about learning coding because I think it may be difficult for me. However, through learning videos, I figure out that it is interesting and easy to learn. It is a challenge to develop a gorgeous website. In the meantime, I can enjoy the beauty of coding I am capable to make.

Loved the workshop! I was really worried when I started, because I wasn't really sure if I'm gonna like coding. But this is a great and affordable way to find out. I came into SheCodes not knowing anything about coding and believing I would have a hard time understanding the language, but that is far from what I experienced! It was well broken down and understandable for someone who knew nothing about coding! I can't wait to continue down this path of coding!
After becoming unemployed due to COVID-19 I wanted to take my new found free time and learn a new skill that would help me land a new job opportunity. SheCodes was an amazing experience! I went into this course with no knowledge about coding and an open mind. What I gained in just the first workshop was so much more than I expected. The lessons are easy to follow and understand, the challenges push you to implement your new knowledge and have a deep appreciation for content development. Throughout my SheCodes workshop I was lucky enough to interview for a position in government IT software distribution, I mentioned that I was completing a workshop in coding and my interviewer was SO impressed. I didn't realize as a content development professional and an OG MySpace enthusiasts, that I knew how to do a lot of these tasks, just without the correct terminology. 2020 has been hard. This Intro to Coding workshop was not. I had a blast and enjoyed learning how to build a cool website!
I found SheCodes by chance. I was looking to reinvent myself and saw their ad on instagram and tried their free workshop. Right after the workshop I subscribe to SheCodes plus workshop. I knew I had found something that really enjoy the moment I finished the 1h workshop with Matt. I'm so glad I cliked on that ad. SheCodes is super user friendly, the community is great, the workshops are both easy and challenging just enough and you have great support. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try coding !

I absolutely loved the SheCodes training and would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in coding. I have always been interested in coding and understood the basic html concept, it wasn't until lockdown that I started looking into pursuing this interest and I am so glad that Covid-19 finally gave me the push I needed to learn how to code. I have thoroughly enjoyed this 3 week course and it has been easy to learn and understand with so much help and support available! I cannot wait to continue developing the coding skills I have learnt so far with SheCodes!

It was fun and rewarding to complete this workshop, I always wanted to learn to code, but I thought it was very complicated, but with SheCodes this is possible. I am very happy to finish this workshop and learn so much, and of course I'm going for more this is the beginning!
I thought this course was really great for so many reasons! I loved the structure of the course - videos, challenges, projects. It was helpful to have the videos to be able to go back and watch when you got stuck. Having a slack channel where you could ask for help was great too. My only complaint is that it definitely takes longer than 5 hours a week to complete. That piece of information was misleading. With that being said, I still thought it was a great course and I would recommend it to a friend (with the knowledge that it will take anywhere from 10-12 hours per week).
As a leader in digital strategy, I'm constantly working with developers to strategize and launch compelling digital tools and websites. I wanted to gain more hands-on experience in the systems developers use everyday to deepen my practice and my development fluency. SheCodes helped me accomplish this. I would highly recommend SheCodes.
