Two years ago I wrote “I have always been curious about coding and feel grateful to SheCodes for providing a safe space for women to learn this a valuable skill set. Learning new languages can be quite a challenge, however, Matt made learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript enjoyable.” It has been a pleasure doing a refresher course and I'm excited to continue on with SheCodes Plus.
The workshop is fantastic. Lessons are made easy to understand. SheCodes is really inspiring and makes you want to go further into the tech industry. Would definitely recomend.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics so much so that I am now looking to do the Plus workshop. Matt's explanations were not only thorough but super easy to follow & understand, there were plenty of practical exercises throughout the lessons to learn from experience and great support available via the Slack channel for when you get stuck or challenged. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a taster into the the world of coding or a refresher on the basics.

SheCodes is awesome. I think the most important thing in the coding journey is that if you get disappointed you can get help and start again. SheCodes team is really kind, generous and supportive so they help you not to get disappointed, but if you can't handle this they take your hand and support you.
What an amazing course! I loved that you could be practical on every lesson and try everything out for yourself with set challenges. Only 3 weeks going from knowing absolutely nothing to a nice understanding of how to code… bring on the next challenge
I have made my career in technical support for seven and a half years, but I recently had the opportunity to work in software quality assurance for a few months. It's a career path I'd love to explore more, so I took SheCodes Basics to expand my skillset. I will likely continue with SheCodes Plus later this year.
I was always afraid to say "I want to code" because you have the idea that it's incredibly difficult, but SheCodes is an incredible platform, I love the ease with which you understand things and Matt's way of explaining. The SheCodes Basics course is an excellent way to enter the world of code and really achieve something that you like and can serve for you as a professional and for others to know your potential. I'm so happy and exited to start the next course.
SheCodes Plus was challenging but well paced. Definitely learned a lot from this course and Matt's lessons were very well designed, I learned a lot and it helped me develop further with Front End coding skills.

The SheCodes workshop offers the best tools if you want to start from zero. I had no experience and the videos, challenges and weekly homework were super helpful and easy to follow. I had no experience when I started this workshop with SheCodes. Already the introduction workshop increased my interest. The explanation videos have a perfect length and are super easy to follow. The following exercises are helpful to understand the previously presented lessons. I really liked the possibility to get help whenever you got stuck. My name is Umang Sharma, pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology. I live in India. The world is currently confronting a global recession, but this doesn’t mean that we should stop learning. Keeping this in mind, I joined Devsnest Community under the supervision of my college, and I am exploring more in the technical field. SheCodes Plus has been a fantastic experience that has pushed my skills and abilities. This has been a valuable experience that has made me more confident. My time working on SheCodes exercises has been fun and the best part of my week. The final project is something to show off to prospective employers, but it is also practical and something I will use every day.

I had zero knowledge and no experience coding, but I was curious and wanted to try it one day. After my 40th birthday I wanted to try something totally new, and this was the best choice ever! Although it was not easy, and I had repeat the videos several times until I got it, I really enjoy coding now! Sometimes I forget to stop coding :) I can´ t wait for the next chapter!
SheCodes was easy to follow and allowed me the flexibility to learn a new skill that changed my whole view on coding. I can't wait to join the other courses to expand my skill set and possibly change careers.

"Hello World" :) (ehehe) I finished my SheCodes Plus this week and I am very very proud of the results :) I started not knowing anything about coding and about this world, to build my own weather app. Say what? :o Yes, is amazing how Matt and his team guide us, to absorb so much knowledge in just a few weeks. I will continue my journey at SheCodes with the SheCodes Responsive now: I am sure it will be great and a lot of fun! To start learning about coding was a personal (and professional) challenge. During these 8 weeks I actually had fund and learned a lot doing so. I would recommend the React workshop to anyone willing to learn advanced knowledge about coding! I work as a Technical Support Engineer and now, more than ever, I feel even more ready to apply the knowledge I acquired in my day to day tasks.

Lockdown got me thinking of trying new things and I thought about giving coding a chance. I stumble upon SheCodes and immediately sign up for SheCodes Basic Workshop. Thanks to Matt for making easy as he breaks down the lessons into small puzzle pieces and less intimidating especially for beginners. A great course for total beginners, I was able to start coding straight away and found it was much easier than I'd imagined. A good new skill for anyone to learn and with clear and easy-to-understand instructions, coding has been demystified for me. I hope to continue learning more in the future.
I've tried several online coding programs before. All the programs were difficult to understand and did not last long. I easily got lost and couldn't ask for help. SheCodes curriculum is very transparent and well-organized! It’s an online course, so I can stop anytime and repeat when I need. In my opinion, who teaches you is the most important thing. Matt is the amazing instructor I've ever seen. I've never felt myself looking forward to working on lessons and assignments every day.
It seems like there is endless information about coding available on the internet, but I have NEVER experienced such eloquent instruction. The structure of the class helped me string together previous knowledge and new tools seamlessly.
I'm a high school graduate and thought I'd take up an interesting skill over the summer. I'm glad I went for SheCodes as it taught me a lot with its simple lessons and never once felt too overwhelming for me.

I wanted to make my SheCodes Plus project mobile-friendly, so I had a look into responsive development a little early - but this course helped to explain some of the things I'd started to explore, such as the sizing elements in Bootstrap. Whilst I felt the course could have been condensed a bit, I'm glad I did it.
it's a very good platform and a very easy method to learn. I have always been interested in coding, however, had always thought it would be to hard. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone looking to get into coding. I am forever thankful to the whole team for all the support. I was a great learning experience.

At first I thought this would be so complicated because it's not LIVE and I wasn't gonna get my questions answered right away but Matt makes it so easy to understand and also gets you used to the idea of resolving things on your own by knowing how to research.
It's been such an amazing journey with all 4 workshops at SheCodes. I cannot believe all the amazing projects I've completed. React was very challenging and I got lost so many times but it's fulfilling when you finally get it, so I'd say it was bittersweet🤣 but worth all the pain.
I've really enjoyed learning to code with React - it was challenging but in a really good way, and I can't wait to begin using it! Teaching from Matt and support from the team top notch, as ever. I highly recommend these courses :)
This was a great way to refresh my memory.
I had no experience with coding at all and I didn't have any interest in learning it as I have a friend who does coding and it just looked complicated. But I saw SheCodes ad by accident and the first things that caught my eyes were the colour of the website and the word "She". I decided to attend the free class and I remember Matt saying that he built this community because of the lack of female representatives in the tech industry. This is what actually pushed me to go ahead and try the basic workshop. I am very happy with that decision because I realised that it's fun and not too complicated and now I have basic experience in coding! Thank you to Matt for the clear explanations and for the SheCodes team who are always there to help and greet us which made the whole learning journey even more amazing!

Before the SheCodes Basic Workshop, I had never done anything remotely related to coding. I was really surprised how easily I could absorb the complex information from the short video lectures. The content was so well-structured and coherent, and I enjoyed doing the short assignments a lot. Also, the support system on Slack was super helpful whenever I got stuck! Would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested!

I have truely enjoyed this course even though it has been extremely challenging at some points during a few weeks. I was stuck and could not find a way out. Luckily I got support from the SheCodes team and found my way back. Since the course is challenging the satisfaction of building my own weather app and succesfully completing it is high! Before starting this workshop, building a React application seemed very daunting to me. With great examples and explanations from Matt, even this advanced workshop was made fairly easy to understand and execute. It is challenging at times but I was determined. From having no coding experience a couple of months ago to now having completed this React workshop, I now have more knowledge and experience in coding than I could have ever imagined having in this short amount of time. I have the confidence now to keep building my portfolio to showcase and pursue a career in tech! I am forever grateful to the SheCodes team!

I have been on and off again with learning JS. I decided to join SheCodes after reading many reviews left from other women. I like the fact that this platform is solely on women learning how to code therefore I decided to jump in and join. I enrolled in the Plus workshop and I just completed Coding Basics and I am already loving it. The teaching method is great, after each lesson you apply what you learn by completing challenges and the homework assignment. I cannot wait to continue and start the next workshop. Thanks Matt! SheCodes is a fun and interactive way to get started with web development and programming. Matt is a great teacher who explains things in a very simple way. The course consists of several videos by Matt which are followed by relevant challenges. If you have never written a line of code before in your life like me, then this is a good place to get started.

Really enjoyed this course, the lessons have been fun and the homework challenges were too! Great to know more about HTML, CSS & JS in such a short period of time. I'd recommend it to everyone who wants to know more about coding without spending a huge amount of time on it. Also easy to combine with a full-time job, all you need is some interest and dedication and you'll be fine!
Had much fun learning how to create responsive websites, totally recommend i think nowadays it is very important to create responsive websites since our very first contact with a website usually starts with our phone.

I was shocked by how easily I slid from one lesson to the next. I had started coding many times, but I was never comfortable enough to stick to it and I didn't feel supported during the courses. SheCodes was truly the opposite of my past experiences and I can't wait to go through the next levels.

Coding was a skill that I knew would be useful for work. It was only after delving into the SheCodes activities did I realize that coding to be interesting and fun! My mathematical/puzzle/problem solving brain loved wrapping my head around the languages and troubleshooting any potential mistakes. SheCodes definitely piqued my interest in the coding world and I may have to dive in again soon!
Helped me a lot with figuring out how to code big projects. Included a ton of helpful mini projects that all culminated in something really cool. I feel like there is quite a bit I can improve on, but I am proud of where I am and where I am heading :D.
I was always interested in coding but I was intimidated by it especially since it is a male-dominated field. After completing my SheCodes workshop I feel so empowered and I discovered that coding can actually be really fun once you get the hang of it. I love the community that SheCodes has created and I would highly recommend the course to all female-identifying people (even if you have no prior coding knowledge like me going into the course).
Matt broke down the concepts into short, easy to understand lessons. Not many can teach effectively, especially something as abstract as coding, but he does it so well.
SheCodes Plus was a perfect edition to SheCodes Basics. There was a nice review of the first class (HML, CSS, JavaScript). The final project was super fun to build and fun to show off!
