This was a really fun workshop to do! I am really glad that we had to build 2 different projects because you can definitely see the learning curve. In the first project I was struggling with React and getting constant error messages - in the second project I was already able to understand and use it much better. I am sure if I start creating some projects on my own that it will go smoother and smoother. Thanks for the mentoring and great help in the Slack community.

I would highly recommend the introductory 3-week course to help you determine if you enjoy learning front-end coding languages! I did enjoy it and look forward to taking the more advanced courses.

Quick, easy to grasp videos. Matt adds in some humour and makes it interesting. The deadlines keep you on top of things and the website is easy to navigate. I also like that you can do it on your own time as well. Can't wait for the next workshop!
With coding knowledge, I can better communicate with developers, and also it could open new career paths for me. ( Actually, in the basic course, I realized that I really like doing that. And it also makes me a more patient person.) Currently, I am working in a tech company as an agile coach, and contributing with developers on a daily basis motivated me to learn more about coding. In addition to creating new job opportunities, it fascinates me to become a producer in the age of technology that can help the next generations to thrive.
This was my 3rd workshop through SheCodes and, yet again, I was so impressed! Now I have a responsive online portfolio that I can share and keep adding to ✨ .
What I like about the course is the course content is pretty well-organized and easily approached. After each lesson, there will be a hands-on exercise for me to practice. And since the time is flexible, I am able to study whenever and wherever I want. Highly recommend it for beginners who want to start diving into coding.
I am very happy to have concluded SheCodes Plus and continue to move foward through this learning path of programming. Thanks to Matt and to all collaborators, specially to Bruno and João that have helped me and may other women with all our questions.

I enjoyed learning the basics of coding including HTML, CSS and JS. Matt explained it so well and all the technical assistants were so helpful. I will definitely come back for another workshops. The lessons are broken in small portions and each has a practical task to do. And then when don there is a final task. Sometimes, you feel frustrated, but your course-mates and technical assistants are there to help you and feel better. So overall I really enjoyed course.
The React Workshop was the most challenging one. Since the beginning I was really excited to build something in this language, that's so required nowadays. So many ideas to do a really cool and interactive dictionary. Now that it is complete, I'm feeling grateful that I made it this far, and how SheCodes is helping to overcome my insecurities about coding and making it accessible. Thank you all Shecodes Team, thank teacher Matt! Next step: SheCodes Responsive!
The SheCodes Basics workshop has provided me with a great opportunity to start learning how to code. The workshop breaks down bigger concepts into easily digestible parts, making it easy to follow along. The feedback is personal and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this course for anyone who wants to learn coding!
I had basic knowledge about HTML and I remember customizing my own "MySpace" page back then. I remember how fun it was and sadly, I didn't know that it could be something that I can do as a grown up and earn money with. I had so much fun learning basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript for the past three weeks!

It's so much fun working on your final weather app project step by step. It really gives motivation to see what you can already do in just a few weeks. Thanks to SheCodes I learned a lot. I highly recommend SheCodes as everything is explained so well & the support is great, during the video's where Matt is encouraging you to not worry when you get stuck and to take your time, but also in the Slack community where the team is answering your questions very quickly. I would recommend this beginner's course to anyone interested in learning to code. The workshop does a great job explaining challenging concepts and makes them easy to understand. The homework tasks were a great opportunity to practice what I learned. Overall, this course gave a good foundation of the basics (HTML, CSS, and Javascript). I look forward to learning more about coding in the next workshop.
Learning React has been a great eye-opener after previously doing JavaScript. It felt a lot more intuitive, and I can tell it is going to be great to work with moving forward. I'm hoping to be able to sneak some of it's use into my current work role.

at first glance you wouldn't think you could learn so much by making such a simple looking app, but it has so much useful information both in Javascript and API. I recommend going throu it more than one time to really understand the concepts.
The workshop does a great job of breaking down difficult concepts into smaller parts that are easier to understand. The instructor does a great job of explaining and providing many examples. There is also a great support team if you need any assistance. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in programming, but don't know where to start.
Still cannot believe how quickly this program advances my skillset and layers in useful knowledge on coding! It truly is flexible to learn part-time as a busy professional in today's world. I HIGHLY recommend it to any woman looking to make a change!
I would recommend this beginners course to anyone interested in learning more about coding. The course was easy to follow. I feel that it was valuable knowledge I can bring with me in my day to day work as a Technical Recruiter. This course has piqued my interest in coding.
I always thought I couldn't learn how to code because I wasn't good at math and struggled with school. SheCodes was a great introduction to coding and made me feel like I had the support and community I needed. The Admins on the Slack channel are really quick to respond and the other students are ready and willing to help if you get stuck. Even though this is just the first step, I'm proud of myself for working through the challenges and coming away with tangible results.

Hi, My name is Katherine,I dev for more than one years but I never follow program like this.I have 23 years Old my main language is french (quebec) and my second one is english. Why SheCodes? I wanted to change of carrier to focus more on development side.For the one don't know this side,I am in this moment electrician 40h per years and in my lost time I do networking/dev/programming server, website and more... But what I really want is this: “I wanted to learn more about talks between techies and understand what is behind certain technologies.” I will continue to learn on SheCodes to get more skill :)
I had so much fun during this workshop! The self-paced learning fit me perfectly as it gives me the opportunity to manage myself and have self-discipline. The challenges helped me build and solidify my knowledge. Matt's videos were really easy to understand which helped me learn very quickly. I would recommend doing this course if you are interested in coding.
I had so much fun throughout this workshop, which is something I never thought I would be able to say about coding! Awesome Basic Workshop! A fantastic beginning class, a great middle between challenging but attainable. I learned a LOT and can't wait to continue on to the other courses. I really enjoyed the challenges at the end of each lesson, which helped to build and solidify my knowledge. I did have to take notes and re-watch some videos, but I quickly learned that's okay! Be kind to yourself and have fun and you will make it through! Matt's videos are easy to understand and follow--great teacher.

SheCodes Plus is a great way to take your coding knowledge & skills to the next level after completing the basics course. It is rewarding to work on the final project throughout the entire course and add to it gradually. I also enjoyed getting the experience of working through the entire 'project' timeline from the initial wireframe to hosting.

I took this class for fun and indeed had fun. My partner is a principal full-stack engineer and entrepreneur in residence, and I had a great time learning a bit more about what they do while expanding my personal knowledge for non-professional exploration. The concepts were neat and clearly taught.

I couldn't be happier with the workshop, I just finished the Basics and definitely will continue until the SheCodes Pro. I tried learning coding a year ago thru other ways, it was very hard and upsetting and I stopped, now with SheCodes it was so smooth, I had all the support I needed when I couldn't figure out a coding mistake, the explanations are so clear and easy to understand, honestly only have good things to say about this workshop.

I learnt HTML and CSS in the early 2000s and tried my hand at being a front-end developer. However, I felt like an imposter and lost my love for it because I couldn't get my head around JavaScript. After discovering SheCodes, I admittedly took a few months to finally take the plunge to enrol but I am extremely happy that I did! The way Matt breaks down each concept makes it incredibly easy to understand and apply. I truly wish SheCodes existed at the start of my career — my life would be very different today if it did. It's never too late though and I'm excited to start the next workshop!

Loved learning to integrate API data with JS and having one project to which we added more and more functionality as we progressed one step at a time. Coding made simple.

I've tried other coding workshops, and SheCodes has been my favorite. I feel like a very patient friend is teaching me each step and encouraging me along the way. The pace is perfect for my life. I have tried other coding courses in the past and nothing compares to SheCodes. Matt does an amazing job at explaining the "WHY" factor which is very important to most people. He gives us clear explanation as to why something is the way it is. Granted not all things in coding can be explained but for the most part, I understood every function and with this knowledge, I can apply it to my projects. Really positive experience. I had known a good deal of coding going in though, so.. this was still really fun!
The classes are easy to follow and informative. I have more fun here than I do at my university. There's great support within the community and I look forward to learning more. I'm studying computer science and it's great to be able to obtain new skills while still being a student.
Among the other courses I took, this one for sure was one of the best.
