Since high-school I had this crazy fear of coding, because I was sure it was related to Math. Well, it is related to Math, but the world of coding is so big that I was shocked to discover that there are parts of coding that aren't related to math at allπ. I was very fearful of trying something so far out of my said "area" of studies, but i'm glad i did! And i'm especially glad i chose SheCodes to start this journey. The workshop itself and Matt are very straightforward and easy to understand, with a ton of support from both the team and colleagues through chat. I highly recomend it to anyone on the fence over getting started to just try this basic workshop! Loved it!
Would definitely recommend to people that are brand new to coding, Matt goes everything in a very detailed manner that doesn't overwhelm you. The videos are easy to follow along to and courses can be done at anytime which provides great flexibility. The only things I didn't like was having to do the first two lessons on codepen and then switching to VS Code for projects after and having the CSS and JS done within the HTML file (but I am sure that it's like that so the team can grade things easier).
SheCodes React takes us to a new powerful world, full of possibilities. It shows us how to code as a fun activity despite being deep, uncomplicated despite not being always easy. I couldn't be happier to be part of this team of women who decided to take a step further in their career, and who chose SheCodes as a partner.

I have never thought that it could be so easy to learn coding! During my quarantine, I decided to develop myself to make a career change which I have alwasy wanted. I stumbled upon SheCodes after a quick research. I've learned the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Matt's way of teaching makes it a lot easier to a complete beginner to understand. SheCodes is not offering just videos to watch! The fact that there are challenges following each lesson enables you to practice what you've just learned. I am really thankful to Matt and to the whole SheCodes team! For sure, I will continue with SheCodes plus because it is so much fun and the satisfaction of coding and creating is inexplicable. π

Wow is where I can begin regarding SheCodes courses. Matt is hilarious - I found myself frequently bursting out in laughter while listening to his lectures. His lectures were also clear, concise, inspirational/motivational, delivered at the perfect pace, and it was very insightful to see how he problem solved in the videos itself. Initially learning to code was quite challenging and stressful..but as I completed each course on SheCodes, my perspective changed to see coding as long-game that is feasible as long as I am persistent in my efforts. The Technical Assistant on slack, Joao was very helpful and prompt to respond. The participating students raised a lot of great questions that I learned from. Other team members I had the pleasure of connecting with - Lexi/Sara were also very helpful. THANK YOU SheCodes!

Two years ago I did the SheCodes Workshop, without any basic knowledge of coding, and learned a lot. Gives them the skills to explore new paths that may have been too scary to try. Still have more to learn. Can't wait to start.

The best coding workshop I've signed up for. Matt has done a great job turning what seems to be an intimidating skill into something small, concise and easy-to-follow steps. SheCodes helped me retain a lot of new information in a short amount of time. The support team has always been great and helpful as well. As someone who has zero knowledge in coding, I am confident to say that I learned some new skills and now I am able to build something beautiful from scratch, thanks to SheCodes.

This workshop has been a great introduction to the coding world for a novice like me. I came in with no knowledge but an open mind and I have learnt a lo during my 8 weeks working on my final project. It is definitely challenging at times but you can always go back to the lessons and get help from the community and the team. For years I had been trying to merge my creativity + business logic into a career and passion that suited me. At the same time, I kept seeing adds for SheCodes - I truly wish I had made this decision a few years ago to join in on the SheCodes workshops. I have never had so much fun + felt so inspired learning something new. Matthieu gives great support through the online classes, the homework really helps you progress + the full team really makes you feel taken care of. So excited for workshops 2 + 3! I enjoyed my entire experience with shecodes! Matt manages to make everything easy to understand. The challenges help us to understand everything even better. Slack is a friendly google with the answers to our doubts within the shecodes team or with our colleagues. The way shecodes works make sense, and I feel that I learned.

I had a blast matching backgrounds and images with all the different weather conditions. With JS I can design some more interactive screens and have a really cool user experience.I am really excited to start the SheCodes REACT course and have a head start on my dev team's react project. It will definitely help me design a better product that functions best with react.
This advanced course is really a challenge, yet Matt is a great teacher and all the team is always there to help you! The course wasn't easy, but with determination and consistency, you can learn how to code!
