What a great last couple of months. The course was quite challenging but I feel that I have learned a lot! I never thought I'd be able to build a weather app as my first project and I am really happy with the results. I totally recommend the course.

The 3 week SheCodes workshop was such a great experience! I was nervous but excited to enter the world of coding, but Matt and the team made learning each new exercise easy to follow and less overwhelming with such great support. I've already recommended the workshop to several friends.

As an architectural engineer by trade, I decided to take a leap and expand my knowledge of coding and software engineering. I had very little coding experience in college and what I did learn was pretty outdated (MATLAB and things of that sort), so joining this workshop was a bit intimidating at first. To my surprise, this workshop has not only been easy to understand, but it's been quite fun as well! I feel like I've learned so much and I intend to continue on my journey of coding. I highly recommend this workshop for anyone looking to learn the basics. It is definitely worth the investment!

I knew very little about coding before taking this course but I was surprised at how accessible Matt made it. If you are interested in coding but are intimidated by it, I highly recommend this course! You cover a lot in 3 weeks, but the exercises really help cement what's covered in the lessons. This course gave me the confidence to know that I can do this, and if I can, you can!

I have completed different online courses and have to say that SheCodes is one of the best in terms of providing us with a great community and supporting everybody on their journey. I am a dentist by profession,and had been sitting at home during the lockdown of 2020. My mind was figeting with the idea of learning something new. Coding always fascinated me,but intricacies were also very intimidating. I joined SheCodes workshop to get an idea if I would like to learn this further, and at the end of 3 weeks I can say that this is the most simplified and in-depth course for a even a bigenner like me. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who wants to learn coding and has zero knowledge of it(like me). The fact that after each lesson we have to complete projects helps tremendously. I am looking forward to joining the SheCodes Plus workshop soon.
After 3 weeks I proudly finished my SheCodes Workshop where I learned about HTML, CSS and Javascript. I really liked the video lessons and the structure given. This made it easy to make progress step by step in your own time. I would recommend this course for anyone, even total beginners, to get an understandig of how coding works which is also important for me as a designer. I am even thinking about doing another workshop!

I particularly appreciated the hands-on of the course that allows you to learn by trying out and finding your own solutions while also providing support in case you’re stuck. I strongly recommend it to complete beginners interested in learning the basics of coding. I now look forward to continuing the more advanced course to finally turn my MA thesis into an interactive website that will make history more accessible and fun to the public.

I came into the 3-week online workshop not knowing anything about code. However, the lessons were clear and not hard to follow. I love how I was able to work on each lesson at my own pace. Matt is a good instructor and he shows each step visually, which I found very helpful! This workshop has shown me how fun coding can be! SheCodes Intro Workshop has been so incredibly informative. It's a great place to start if you're looking to get into code or even curious if code is for you. I highly recommend starting here. I tried the self-taught route but I definitely needed guidance in where to start and which direction to go after starting. I'm so grateful SheCodes came along. I've already introduced some friends whose current careers have nothing to do with programming and they have also decided to try this workshop.

I can highly recommend this workshop. Within 40 days I coded a website and now finally a weather app. For me SheCodes.io is not only a career change but a life change. Originally coming from traditional crafts, I am now going to work in digital crafts. I definitely recommend learning with SheCodes. After losing my job due to Covid19, I took the beginner course to initially decide if it was for me or not, as well as to enhance my IT skills. The lessons are very user-friendly and it's great that you can progress at your own pace, with sensible and achievable deadlines to work towards. I was wrong to assume that coding would be boring and impossible, I've found it really engaging and actually good fun. I plan to continue with SheCodes!
After completing the first SheCodes workshop, I'm happy I joined SheCodes Plus! In SheCodes Plus, there's a great transition from the material in the first workshop. You never feel like you've missed anything. The pace of the course works well with the content. The material is challenging, but you can grow so much. It was really satisfying to be finished my project, and I feel more confident in my skills. As always, the lovely helpers on Slack are always there if you need clarification. Definitely recommend!

There were times I was frustrated and a little frightened because of the unknown, but those are the moments when I believe I learned the most. I believe it is true that anyone can learn to code. You have to be patient and not give up. You have to keep at it, keep trying, ask for help when you need it. Coding teaches you how to be a problem solver and that can be the most rewarding part. I have recommended this class to others. I love that it is a learning platform just for women. Thank you, Matt, for your contribution to closing the gender gap between men and women in coding. I loved it! The challenges were fun (and so frustrating sometimes) and I feel like I learned a lot. I'm a teenager and had final exams at school throughout most of the course so I maybe didn't get as much out of it as I could've, but it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it to basically anyone.
I've always wanted to learn more about coding and in the past few weeks, I've been able to learn and practice a lot of information. The weekly workshops are informative and well-thought-out and the challenges make you exercise what you've learned. The weekly homework grew off of each other each week to make the final project more manageable. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who's been curious about coding!

I fully enjoyed SheCodes. Every lesson I felt challenged and eager to learn more. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get a good solid foundation into coding. Matt explains every perfectly and encourages you to try more. Before SheCodes, I had no idea how easy HTML, CSS and JavaScript could be to understand. I had this idea that only a genius could build websites, format pages or even just read the languages. I have high hopes for my coding future after SheCodes, I now have a new desire to keep going in my coding career! What's next? Maybe Python or Ruby.. who knows. All I know is that I owe my foundation to SheCodes!
Having neatly zero knowledge of programming language before march 2020, in a couple of weeks through SheCodes and SheCodes Plus courses I managed to start taking my baby steps on the programming world. SheCodes Plus is a huge step forward, compared to SheCodes introduction. I would highly recommend taking this next level to get more confident and comfortable with CSS and HTML, but mostly to develop your JavaScript Skills. On SheCodes plus, not only you learn the tolls, skills and resources to be more independent in coding. You also learn how to use GitHub, host your projects online and, more importantly understand how these tools can also help you boost your CV and showcase your projects to potential employers! I cannot describe how helpful and how much did I learned during these last 8 weeks. It was extraordinary and allowed me to feel so much more empowered. Now, I can't wait to proceed with React! Again, I find Matt a really good tutor and the supporting Slack Team extraordinary. They have been an undeniable asset on this journey.
I have been searching for a comprehensive beginner's program for a while and this is the best decision I could have made! The structure of the program is unique and I enjoyed it very much. If you are willing to commit and follow the guidelines it will be a memorable experience. I am very happy i was able to participate and i highly recommend it , especially for first time coders. ☺

I thought this course was really great for so many reasons! I loved the structure of the course - videos, challenges, projects. It was helpful to have the videos to be able to go back and watch when you got stuck. Having a slack channel where you could ask for help was great too. My only complaint is that it definitely takes longer than 5 hours a week to complete. That piece of information was misleading. With that being said, I still thought it was a great course and I would recommend it to a friend (with the knowledge that it will take anywhere from 10-12 hours per week).
As a leader in digital strategy, I'm constantly working with developers to strategize and launch compelling digital tools and websites. I wanted to gain more hands-on experience in the systems developers use everyday to deepen my practice and my development fluency. SheCodes helped me accomplish this. I would highly recommend SheCodes.

I was curious about coding for a while and decided to give it a try. Since I knew nothing about coding, it was a great learning experience to learn the basics. The course is very enjoyable, it's not really demanding (however you'll have to google some stuff but it's quite easy to do it). At the end you'll end up wanting to learn more 🤓 Highly recommend for someone who is curious about coding and has no previous knowledge about it.
I would highly recommend a course with SheCodes. I have always been interested in coding and I thought SheCodes Workshop would be a good introduction--I was not disappointed. The workshop is a mix of short videos explaining key concepts and a challenge for each concept. There are then larger "challenges" in the form of weekly homework and projects. The length of the videos makes them very easy to get through, and the challenges ensure that you have fully grasped a concept before introducing a new one. I would definitely consider another SheCodes course in future!
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is new to coding and wishes to deep dive into the world of React. Building a concrete project on your own is a great way to learn. A huge bonus is that you can actually showcase what you've built during the course to potential employers. After the course, you can immediately start job hunting, or you can continue to explore the world of coding (or do both!). I'm very happy that I started my journey to front-end development with SheCodes and can't wait to learn & code more! :)
