I came across SheCodes while on Instagram, and later signed up on the 19/11 21 as I am now retired from nursing and have time for myself. Learning HTML,CSS and JavaScript was new and fun for me as Matt made the course very interactive with each lesson and a I felt sense of accomplishment when I completed each weeks assignment and recognize my achievements.

I absolutely love how I can improve my coding skills thanks to SheCodes, it has been a wonderful journey with a lot of fun, but also many thinking to solve some puzzles and learning in a great way.

When I started this course, I had never coded before! I now feel super confident with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and have completed a project that I'm really proud of. Matt is an excellent teacher! He breaks each new piece of information down into bitesize lessons that make coding fun and easy to understand. I wanted to learn how to code for a long time now but was first very doubtful about my capacities in learning coding by myself (based on online tutorials). I wanted to take the challenge and so i suscribed to Shecodes! This workshop and the way Matt explained coding made it super fun and interesting to learn. This workshop was so much fun. It is hands on and not always easy but it feels amazing to solve challenges and keep learning. I really love the way Matt presents the stuff. The teaching assistants are also amazing, they take the time to answer ALL kind of questions and check the homework. I am looking forward to the next level...

This was way more fun than I expected, and I really enjoyed playing around with the various HTML, CSS and JS elements to tweak the final webpage! Matt's guidance is really clear along the process, with encouragement given to try more things if one wishes.

The workshop was fun and educational, focusing on very practical skills and suitable for a beginner. Especially the intro to JavaScript was quite useful!

The video included with each lesson was very helpful. I wish each lesson came with literature explaining WHY each of those commands yields its specific function. If I am indeed learning a language, the purpose of certain commands is important to understand more than memorize.

Great experience! Extremely fun to do and actually see the result of your hard work.

I have been wanting to join the world of coding for a long time and was not sure where to begin. I found SheCodes and upon learning about how organized, supportive and FUN it was I decided to take the jump and begin my journey! I can say for a fact that after finishing these courses, I want to continue!

There was a fair bit of debugging and JavaScript, so patience is needed. But React is a lot of fun and once you've got an app running, it changes your mindset especially all the times you might have pulled your hair out. Matt walks through everything so it's clear how things are done and why it's done that particular way. Highly recommend this learning path and SheCodes!

I had a lot of fun learning coding. Lesson are simple, fun and effective. Matt is great and fun instructor. And if you need help, you can get it from excellent instructors and other students. I did not feel like I was only learning, but that I was part of something great. I am so happy I did this.

I've been trying to start learning code for a few years and each time stopped because it was overwhelming, boring, difficult and the end result was a little black screen with "hello world" written on it. SheCodes changed the whole picture for me. Not only I enjoyed the workshop, I also intend to finish all the available workshops. The whole learning process was fun, easy to learn, empowering and the end result is stunting. I honestly never thought I could build something like that.

Lessons were well structured with plenty of resources and workshop videos were easy to follow. Challenges and homeworks were completed in a safe and supportive environment. Such a fun and easy way to learn coding! Only a few weeks and this is what I was able to achieve! Happy to have been able to learn and add a new skill!

Super fun and informative workshop!

The lessons were fun and easy to follow.

The course was very hands on and clear from beginning to end. It's a lot of fun to follow along in VS code with Matt while watching the video and going back to analyze the code after watching the video as well as customizing it.

Past 8 weeks were full of hard work, learning, excitement and above all - success! In such a short time, to be able to build a fully functional weather app including all the usual features, three months ago would be unimaginable. I have to thank again to the SheCodes Team for the support they are giving throughout the course. Looking forward to the future challenges!

I learned a lot from SheCodes plus. I used to be scared of javascript but now I have gained some confidence and admiration of the language through this workshop. I had a lot of fun working on the assignments especially when my codes came alive. Every lesson gets more and more difficult and each time I think, I wouldn't be able to grasp the concept but as soon as I start coding is when everything starts to come together. all thanks to Matt for sharing his talent and time to make the videos and explaining thoroughly through each lesson. & last but not the least, the availability of the slack community. Super grateful I took this class. I was lost in what I wanted to do after my career switch from pre-Physician Assistant. I had an idea that I am interested in UI/UX Design but after this class, I realized that I am also passionate about coding and I am potentially thinking in pursuing a career as a UI Developer. I did not have any coding experience but Matt made the classes fun and easy to learn. I had a super fun time working on my first coding project! :)

This course was challenging, stimulating and a huge amount of fun. To my relief, many of the questions I had at the end of Basics were answered during Plus - demonstrating a good flow in the learning material. While at first it was slightly mind-boggling, I found that I loved working with JavaScript, and I certainly recognise the "power" of it's applications and abilities as Matt explains in this videos. The Plus course boosted my confidence in coding significantly, and as such it enabled me to think more creatively in how I wanted my App to be and function. I would recommend this course to anyone who is up for a fulfilling challenge. The SheCodes team were as always very helpful when I had queries regarding my code or how to approach a new problem. Learning how to code with SheCodes was a really great experience. Although I only did, for the moment, the SheCodes Basic Workshop, and obviously I'm still not a coder or programmer, I now understand how coding works and can create a basic website. The workshops are very dynamic, Matt is an excellent teacher and whenever we get stuck help is at a distance of a click. I started with the feeling that coding was way too complicated but it's really not that difficult. Plus, I had a lot of fun.

Fun project and a great way to get started if you are an absolute beginner!

Never would I ever have thought that I would be interested in coding but SheCodes made it so fun and enjoyable to learn. I have completely made a 180 on the way I see coding, especially for women. I always thought in order to be a coder you had to be a genius but I have learned anyone can do it if you are willing to put in the work. I have enjoyed these past three weeks of learning and challenging myself to the fullest. I will absolutely be taking what I have learned from this workshop and bringing it with me through the next. I am looking forward to taking the SheCodes Pro workshop. I absolutely recommend SheCodes to anyone interesting in learning to code. As one who has experienced this workshop and wasn't sure how I'd feel about coding, this has changed my entire idea of coding and has given me the opportunity to think of a possible career path.
