At first I didn't believe I would learn to code anything, but step by step, lesson by lesson, and there it is: my first web-page ever. Matt is a great instructor, assistants are always there to help and the whole process was pure fun. When starting, I just wanted to finish this basic course but now I'm starting to think about next level. I highly recommend this course to anyone. It is cheap, fun and You get to learn new skill. That was THE BEST course I've done so far. Matt is a really great teacher and even though REACT can be challenging and a little bit frustrating, it's also very satisfying when finally everything works perfectly together.

Although I have a Masters Degree in Software Engineering, I have always been anxious when it comes to coding. I'm an absolute beginner and I've tried to learn to code through other programs online and failed everytime...until I found SheCodes! The Basics Workshop was so much fun and Matt was a great instructor. The videos were super helpful and the weekly homework was challenging but not discouraging. I enjoyed the final project as it allowed me to be creative, have fun, and it was so satisfying to see how much I was able to learn in just a week! I can't wait for the SheCodes Plus workshop 🥰

After graduating from my Business IT degree I had no intention to pursue coding as a career or even attempt it ever again. I've been meaning to try a basics coding class for awhile and am so glad I found SheCodes. Matt's videos were bite-sized and very digestive, especially for beginners. I can't believe I'm able to make a Html/CSS landing page with Javascript from scratch after 3 weeks. The course was very informative and fun, a definite recommend!
It has been such a fun and educational three weeks. I have never enjoyed coding so much before. Prior to enrolling at SheCodes, I used to feel hesitant to code despite being a Computer Science major. I was second guessing in taking this workshop because I felt the need to actually be in a class with a real professor, but I took the chances and took the Basic Coding Workshop and I absolutely loved it! As a Psychologist, I never thought I would be coding or doing anything related to technology. I started this workshop out of curiosity and I can say now that I see myself growing in this capacity. SheCodes Basics is a great introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript! The theory is explained in an easy-to-understand way and Matt shows many examples when explaining. I was surprised at how quickly I understood brand new concepts! I enjoyed the final project and felt super motivated after seeing what I've built. I'm looking forward to learning more on my journey into front-end development.

This basics course exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Matt is a great teacher and the approachability of the material, community, support, and resources was key to my learning. It can feel a bit daunting to realize I do not learn as quickly as when I was in school full time, but I found things clicking along the way and making their way into my day to day vocabulary. I have shown my work to friends that have taken expensive courses and/or gone to university and they are impressed in how much I was able to retain and the incredible resources available to me. From curated cheatsheets, to color gradients, image hosting, videos I can play at any time and even SheCodes Radio(my favorite part!). Highly recommend more women empower themselves through code there are not enough of us!

This course was probably the best thing I've participated in. Everything was easy to understand & straightforward. In the space of 2-3 weeks, I have already started working on my own website. Without signing up to SheCodes, I think I would have either 1. Spent a large amount of money on another coding course, which I may not have finished 2. Put off from the amount of money I would have to pay, so I would have left it & never would have started my website. Thanks Matt!

This course was really fun, Matt explained everything so clearly in the videos and for a coding beginner like me, I was able to grasp it pretty much straight away because of how the course was set out and how the coding was explained. Plus there was always help via slack when I got stuck. Kind of sad I have finished it but now I know the basics I definitely want to continue to experiment.

I tried learning HTML, CSS and JS a few times before. The HTML and CSS part has always been clear to me, but JS was a bit tricky. Matt explains it realy good and I had no problem writing these simple functions. :) It got me really excited for the future and I can't wait to keep learning with Matt and SheCodes.

After doing the workshop this is a course more focused on Javascript, I felt a bit overwelmed sometimes, but Matt classes are quite clear and the slack channel is there, so everything was doable! It gave me also an overview of what a developer professional life can be, so quite interesting.
I have tried to learn coding from different websites before coming here, but SheCodes is by far the best one. Matt Delac is a great instructor and he made sure to share his knowledge as best as he could. I really love the organization and simplicity of the course. As a Software Tester whose daily job has always been working with Software Developers, I have always wished to have an in depth knowledge of how Softwares are being developed. As a result of this, I have watched a lot of videos on HTML, CSS and a bit of Javascript on Youtube, this had helped me currently as a postgraduate student of Information Technology but I must say SheCodes workshop is an exceptional; as it has helped me in having some fundamentals required in starting my new career as a Frontend Developer. I really do enjoy how the programs are arranged especially the fact that one tends to know the relationship between these three languages from the onset together with the Homework at the end of each week to enhance more practice and better understanding . This is a great experience, I learned and enjoyed a lot! I thought it would be too difficult since I'm not a programmer but Matt explains every little detail very well, gives you the info about the tools you need and you can go back anytime to review every part of it. Also, I had a very hard month in my life and the course is very friendly with the deadlines of lessons and final project, found that very useful.
I am looking to make a career change and thought learning how to code would be a great start. I didn't know anything about coding or how fun it is before I discovered SheCodes. Matt makes it very understandable and easy for anyone to learn. I look forward to signing up for another workshop!
As a Pilates teacher building my business during the pandemic, I found myself struggling to understand how to put my website together in a way that functioned not only for myself but also for my clients. I built a whole website to then find out that the main function I needed to run the core of the business was not a good fit. I kept running into walls and my clients complained that the process was complicated. From there I wanted to take matters into my own hands and I didn't know where to start. I am so grateful that SheCodes created this opportunity for women that then reached me.
