Definitely a learning curve taking on React but it has been such a rewarding challenge being able to understand more and more as we go along. It helps being able to follow along with Matt and I look forward to discovering more about React and all of it's capabilites.

Wow... what an incredible course! A lot of daunting moments, pieces to connect, and puzzling broken code along the way, but I'm very proud of the state of my weather app, with Matt's help and instruction.

I completed this course at one of the lowest points in my life — only to prove to myself that no matter how deep the hopelessness gets, as long as we are alive, hope still exists, and its roots never truly die. And one more thing I’ve learned: never become too attached to anything or anyone in life. Even the best things. Because attachment can slowly weaken a person without them realizing it. At a very young age, life forced me to learn lessons far beyond my years. And although I feel exhausted from everything life and learning have put me through, deep down, I’m still somewhat grateful for all of it.

As a non-programmer in a family of programmers, I feel I have a great start to learning more and a basic understanding. This course has given me that foundation. Plus Add-on workshop was really fun! I got to dive into the world of time zones and date formatting, which I honestly found fascinating. There is something satisfying about seeing a clock tick in real time on a page you built yourself. I loved working with moment.js and building my World Clock app. It felt like a real project that I could actually use and show off in friends and family.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes program. It exposed me to coding for the first time, which sparked my curiosity and shaped my perspective as a developer. While I discovered that I love and enjoy backend development more, I’m truly grateful to Matt and the SheCodes team for teaching me frontend fundamentals. I have always wanted to learn how to code but lacked the push to really dive into learning. Most platforms I came across for self-learning had many complex lessons and no guidance for beginners. The AddOn Workshop really helped to solidify what I've been learning. I was surprised how much longer it took me than I initially thought it would take. I really wanted to grasp and practice all of the concepts, which is why I didn't rush through it. Matt does a remarkable job explaining each point, which I really appreciate!

Everything from the React course came together in one place: components, state, API integration, responsive design, and real UX thinking. I loved going beyond the brief: I designed the empty state from scratch with a custom animated SVG illustration, and added small details like synonym chips. React keeps inspiring me to build more. It has been a challenging journey for me but the short structured lessons were of great help. I appreciate the self -paced lessons and the youtube videos attatched. They were of much help especially when it came to use of Git hub. I was supposed to have submitted my week 8 project in Jan 12 2026. Am happy I didn't quit and I have completed it in April. I can’t recommend SheCodes Python enough! The lessons are clear, the platform is beautiful, and the technical support is top-notch. I never thought I’d actually enjoy learning about loops and dictionaries, but the way SheCodes gamifies the learning process makes it addictive. I walked away with a solid foundation in Python and a project I’m genuinely proud of. Best investment I’ve made in myself this year! The only downside was working with Replit; it felt completely different from Matt’s explanations and often contradicted the Replit documentation, which was a bit frustrating at times.

After 5 years, I’m back with SheCodes, and it feels really good to be doing this again. Life can take you in different directions, and you don’t even realize when you drift away from things you enjoy. Sometimes you just need a little push to come back. I really enjoyed playing around with grids, image effects, and switching between light and dark mode. Matt makes everything super easy to follow, clear, relaxed, and never overwhelming. The SheCodes React course has been an incredible six weeks. Matt has a rare ability to take complex concepts and make them feel approachable, always guiding you through the journey step by step, no matter the challenge. What excited me most was discovering a completely new way of thinking about code. I had no background in coding or computers, and it all felt like a mystery to me. But SheCodes changed that. This was admittedly a challenging workshop, but extremely worth it! I'm really pleased with my final project. As with all the previous workshops, the guidance and support from the team was excellent. Matt does a really great job of breaking things down in order to explain the "plumbing" of how a react app works and describing what the code is doing at certain stages, (such as in the case of how the props are passing through to the other components and how the useStates help to set and define the data for further functions to operate). It made it really accessible and digestible to someone who still feels relatively new to coding!

I love how Matt explains every step from zero, not assuming you already know the concepts. The pace is great, you can adapt to it according to your availability and even if you already know the basics, the lessons are not boring at all, you only will finish faster than expected and then move on to the next one! I also really appreciate how honest the video tutorials are in that Matt doesn't edit out any of the "oops, something's not working in my page/ my code has crashed" moments, not hiding the reality of how common place it is for all Developers of all experience levels to inevitably encounter problems that require a little problem solving. This Responsive Add-on course was a wonderful continuation of the Responsive workshop. It helped me deepen my understanding of how to refine layouts and create more polished responsive pages using CSS Grid and media queries.
