I’ve just finished my next SheCodes course and I can genuinely say it’s one of the most confidence-boosting things I’ve done in a long time. I went from “I vaguely know what HTML is” to building and deploying a fully working web app with JavaScript, APIs, and proper UX logic — and somehow enjoying the debugging along the way (stockholm syndrome, maybe?). What I loved about SheCodes is that it doesn’t just tell you what to type — it explains why. So when something broke (and it did, repeatedly!), I wasn’t panicking… I was actually able to reason my way through it. By the end, I’d built a Tattoo Concept Generator that takes user input, handles loading states and errors, and is live on the internet — which still feels a bit surreal. The lessons are clear, practical, and friendly without being patronising. You’re encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, and improve things step by step, which made everything click in a way tutorials never had for me before. If you’re curious about coding but slightly terrified of it, SheCodes is a brilliant place to start. There's a lot of information, but the lessons are very bite-sized so it's easy to take a break when you need to or go back and find the specific directions for one thing you learned if need be. The challenges are fun to complete and help you see progress in real time as you learn. Matt's a great teacher and everything is very clear - even for those like me who have never programmed!

Certainly, this has been the biggest challenge on this bootcamp. Coding with React has shown me that it is possible to do everything that I had already learned in a more practical way, wich doesn't mean that it was easier to grasp the language's logic. Hands down one of my favourite workshops. The workshops have been arranged so that you can get to this point. If you were to start here without any background in coding you would feel like you were on a different plane. Everything that we were taught from the beginning with HTML, CSS, Javascript embedded code from Google Fonts and Font Awesome set us up to be able to understand how to use Bootstrap, Responsive as well as other platforms. I have finally completed the SheCodes Plus Workshop. These past few weeks have been a bit challenging, balancing between school work and the program. I am glad that my hard work did pay, with late nights trying to meet weekly deadlines. I also love what I created in my final project, a weather app with a search engine that displays the weather conditions of the city searched, as well as the city's 5-day weather forecast. I got to polish my JavaScript skills with the help of the weekly lessons and homeworks given by our instructor, Matt Delac.

I have completed the SheCodes Plus AI Workshop, and I’m honestly so proud of the progress I've made. I managed to finish everything within the two weeks given, and the experience was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My final project involved building a form that, when searched, generates a Kenyan cuisine recipe using JavaScript's responsiveness. Improving my JavaScript skills and building something that felt meaningful really boosted my confidence as a developer. I took this starter class as part of my professional development as a brand manager. I have dabbled very lightly in HTML and a little bit of CSS in the past but nothing too in-depth. I, like many other students, found the course structure very helpful! With as complex a topic as this, Matt does an excellent job of breaking down the different skills in very digestible chunks. The lesson videos are never more than 10 minutes or so, and he provides so many resources to find help, connect with other students, or learn the basic tools that are industry standards. The way he walked through each video was also very encouraging and I never felt dumb. I honestly found the course not too challenging (not to say I didn't get slightly held up at points) which I think is a testament to how well taught it is. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

This week’s workshop/project around building a World Clock was by far the most challenging for me. The learning curve felt steep, and I quickly realized that Matt wasn’t exaggerating when he said that working with dates, and understanding them, is impressive because of how complex it can be! I’m really glad I pushed through it all within the week, though. It forced me to fully immerse myself in the code and experiment with different approaches, which helped deepen my understanding.

Matt explains every concept with such clarity and patience that even the most challenging topics feel easy to understand. The SheCodes course has boosted my confidence so much. Hi my first week was exciting and went well for a person that did not know nothing of coding .Thanks MATT for the opportunity Matt give me.

I joined SheCodes feeling quite intimidated by code, but this workshop changed that completely. The lessons are short, clear, and very well structured, and I really like how each concept is followed immediately by a small exercise or project. Building real projects with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (like the landing page with dark/light mode and animations) helped me understand why I was writing each line of code, not just copying it. Matt’s explanations are friendly and motivating, and the platform makes it easy to follow along at my own pace. Thanks to SheCodes, I now feel confident enough to keep learning front-end development and to start showing my projects to others. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants a practical and enjoyable introduction to coding.

This was a wonderful course project. Matt's explanations is so clear. We built the project one step at the time. It's great that it's recorded, so when the recording screen doesn't match what I see on my computer, I can back the recording and analyze where it went wrong. Often it's a typo. Figuring stuff on my own, was so challenging but so rewarding. I recommend this course 100%. Thank you SheCodes.
