Highly recommend all three workshops with SheCodes! I do wish React was longer and it would be nice to have a different project from the weather app in SheCodes Plus, though I do appreciate seeing how to take a vanilla js project and build it through React. The SheCodes team is extremely helpful and I enjoyed being part of the community on Slack. After completing all three workshops, I believe more education is needed before applying to any junior development roles, but this is an amazing start and provides a lot of resources and knowledge to get you started in software development!
This workshop was challenging but incredibly fun. The course is really well structured and easy to follow, and the SheCodes team is very nice and helpful. The amount of time spent on building the final project was completely worth it. Now, I am looking forward to learning React!
A didactic and interesting course!
Things get real with JS! All workshop's challenges were very easy for me, but I was glad to have a support slack chat for all Plus' challenges. I feel that I can truly built any given design now; not like easy breezy, but I think I'll get that with a bit more practice. If you want to take this serious, Plus is definitely a must.
Matt does a wonderful job explaining and instructing coding lessons. The lessons are brief, straight to the point, well-thought out and interactive. Best hands on learning I've ever had! Thank you, SheCodes!!!
I'm so glad I found SheCodes! Out of all the other online courses and videos I've watched on how to code for beginners, SheCodes has definitely helped me the most! I was able to understand how things are implemented, what works and what doesn't. The online videos are so easy to follow along, and I was learning at a nice pace so there was no rush. My only regret is not finding out about it earlier.
SheCodes is an amazing project with a very special message. I'm very glad to see that a workshop is supporting women's careers in a male dominant industry. I was curious about coding for a good while but never thought I would be able to do it. A huge thank you to this amazing team for showing me it's possible and for changing my life!
I would highly recommend SheCodes: the curriculum is broken down into easily understandable parts and is explained thoroughly, every step of the way. The deadlines kept me motivated and all of Matt's advice and best practice tips are what set this program apart from other coding schools. That we work in VS Code is a massive benefit, too (vs. in browser exercises).
I like the flexible nature of the course and the videos were easy to follow and understand. It was cool to see how much progress I could make in such a short time and it was fun learning too. Would recommend!

SheCodes workshop has been a beautiful ride full of learning and challenges. Well structured and easy to follow. Big shout out to Matt and his team, thank you for all the support and the hard work. Before the course, I always thought that coding was out of my league and reserved for "the cream of the cream” but after these three weeks, I can definitely now picture myself in that direction. This course is fun to take. It gives you an introduction to HTML, CSS, and JAVASCRIPT. The videos are easy to follow, and the learning is interactive because you must submit the challenges before the next lesson. It is a good first step to start web development. I will definitely recommend this to my friend.
Considering my background, I never expected to like or understand coding but this workshop completely changed my perception. SheCodes is truly an amazing project, I had lots of fun learning about coding and it is exciting to see all the little changes you're making in your work in real time. The videos are vey straightforward, you can easily keep up and help via Slack is super fast! I truly enjoyed being able to work at my own pace and take time to apprehend all the new information. Joining this workshop was hands down one of the best decisions I made.

Coming from a different background I thought that I will never be able to enjoy or understand coding. The learning parts were easy to understand, challenges piqued my interest and the solution parts were fun and gave me a-ha/wow moments. I decided to attend the course out of curiosity. I don't want to be a developer, but I wanted to understand a bit of it since I work with developers and also I sell a JS technology, so it's good to know how it works to talk with my prospects. And at the end of the course I had a trip, so didn't put much effort into the final project, but the important thing is the knowledge. The course is very very good, and having the support on Slack is a super plus!!
I really enjoyed this workshop! Matt was a great instructor and made the lessons easy to follow and understand. I feel like I learned a lot and have a a good grasp on intro html, CSS and JavaScript.
I am surprised by how much you learn in such a short time. Before I started this course I had zero experience with building websites. It has been really fun creating something from scratch. I am going to continue with the two other courses.

I was always interested in learning how to code, but never thought that I would get the chance. When I first came upon a SheCodes ad, I was immediately intrigued; and when my employer asked me to attend further training during my short-term work, I jumped at the opportunity – and never regretted it. Being totally absorbed in the learning videos and corresponding challenges, hours pass without me realising it. I immensely enjoy putting what I just learned into action and can’t believe how far I’ve already come in such a short period of time. Coding can be challenging, but it is also a lot of fun and extremely rewarding. If you are unsure whether you should sign up for one of the workshops, do it! I'm sure you won't be disappointed! 😉
With SheCodes I made the best of quarantine. I went from zero knowledge in coding to build my own web app in one month. Getting stuck into the challenges were the most rewarding moments as I grew out of them. Enjoyed and liked the course overall and my advice to others is quite the hesitation and start coding😉!”

It is a wonderful experience, since it takes you by the hand and at the same time, with the tasks, it lets you think for yourself, it is really very good technique, highly recommended.
It is key to understand coding, it was gratifying, and at the same time, if you feel stuck in an exercise, there is the chat in Slack ready to help you. I really recommend anyone that wants to design or understand how HTML, CSS and JavaScript works simply and practically, and also from home!

SheCodes is one of the best beginners workshop out there. Matt is an amazing teacher, he takes the time to break things down to you and gives great context regarding each subject. With every lesson there is a challenge for you to test your knowledge and exercise what you've just learnt. Matt has a great team at hand helping you with any issues on the group working platform. I've thoroughly enjoyed learning html, css and javascript - seeing what they can do has been eye-opening.

Even though I spent a significant time among software engineers, I have always thought that coding is for people who are excellent in Math. I am truly relieved and inspired by learning that my bias was wrong. Thanks to the SheCodes team, I have discovered yet another tool for creating and sharing my ideas and content. SheCodes Plus is incredibly rewarding, even with some of its difficult moments. Just like in SheCodes Workshop, Matt continues to break down complex concepts in simple and straightforward lessons. The modules are designed with challenges and assignments that make you apply what you have just learned right away. The learning curve in this workshop was incredible! No question left unanswered thanks to the lovely post challenge solution videos, which are always reassuring after some of the most challenging moments. Feels unreal to have coded all this project when a few weeks ago i had no clue about anything. There are still some areas I would like to improve in my projects but thanks to this workshop I actually feel capable of doing so!
The past two years I`ve been looking forward to becoming a Front-end developer, thus, besides my studies I was in the search of a challenging and affordable course that will cover the basics of web development, in fact, this is how i found SheCodes. The workshop has a clear, interesting structure, while Matt Delac has a unique, easy way of teaching and what I loved the most is the practical side of every lesson, as well as the Slack software which allows to share experience with other girls and receive helpful advice from the engineers team.

The structure of the lessons are in a logical order and easy to follow. It's impressive how easy I could learn to code basic things within some days & that this "magic field" is not as difficult as I thought. I highly recommend everyone to try this workshop, if you want to get to know a bit more about coding.
I've spent a couple of months searching for a coding workshop before coming across SheCodes. There was a 1 hour workshop offered by SheCodes for FREE which I signed up for and learnt soo much from 🙌 It was from there that I knew that SheCodes was the right workshop for me! The level of detail to the mini-challenges provided for each lesson makes sure you put into practice everything you are learning, and the Slack channel with such an active community is definitely an added bonus 🤩
It was not an easy course, it was even frustrating at times, but it was definitely one of the best organized of all that I have participated in so far and most importantly, it forced me to look for solutions on my own.
