I decided to join the SheCodes Workshop because knowing something of coding would help accelerate some processes in my current job and aid the communication with the IT team! I left the workshop convinced that this was the best thing I could have done for my company and myself! The way the workshop is designed is really motivating. You are constantly putting into practice the new learning and getting validation that you can actually make it - it is really empowering! Coding is not a seven-headed monster!
Since I was born, the world of tech wasn't exactly my thing, but over the years I realized that it could be a lot of fun and interesting. When I found Matt's course I told myself "girl you have to do it". I do not regret my decision and even though it wasn't easy at the beginning, I can see myself doing it in the future! Great way to get the fundamentals of programming when you don't have any knowledge of Data Science or related fields. The explanations are clear and deep enough to give you an idea of where you need to go in your own time. The exercises also help you to put into practise all you have learned as you go along as well as the final project!
SheCodes is an amazing workshop! In only 2 days we learnt so much and if before I thought coding was Chinese, now I can google it, understand what is presented and learn so much more!
It has been a great opportunity to start the abc of coding. It had a speed mode equal to 10 energy drinks but it was a great experience and a great challenge... and I loved it! It allowed me to demystify important concepts and understand that coding it's not only to "geeks"!! But if you want it you can do it, it takes a lot of practice, investigation, curiosity and creativity... and to be able to start and stop a puzzle over and over again... Bucket list: "Start coding" --> Check!

SheCodes was a really good learning experience. Throughout the weekend we learnt the very basics of how to create a webpage and how to make it interactive with the user, by resorting to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Matt is a great teacher and it's really good to have someone who knows what's being used nowadays and what isn't; and can give you some guidance for your very first steps into the coding world. It's a very hands-on course, where you actually get to put in practice what you learn, instead of just getting your head full of theory. I did not have any experience in programming, and this course really gave me an insight as to what coding is like. I am glad that there were online had challenges and weekly assignments as I felt more challenged and it excited me to be able to put into practice what I had learned in the tutorial videos.I look forward to expanding my coding knowledge in the future.

I was looking to jump back into graphic design after a number of years and I took this course to refresh my credentials. The format was easy to understand and I will continue to build upon the knowledge that I have gained.
I saw an ad for SheCodes via Instagram and was intrigued by the whole concept and initiative to get more females into tech and coding! As a sociology student, I already had some experience with coding in other programs and languages, so I wasn't all new to the concept of coding, but learned a ton nonetheless! Matt's teaching is delivered in a very pedagogic manner, which makes a whole lot easier for both beginners and people on an intermediate level. Definitely worth it!
It was a great refresher course for myself; I studied web development 10 years ago in college but haven't written any code for a few years - the tutorials were thorough and at a great speed, allowing for me to learn at my own pace.

Absolutely loved learning coding, still so much to learn but this was the perfect way to start for someone who had no clue about coding! I only wish the 3rd week also had a couple more lessons to keep learning more JS! I have every intention of joining SheCodes+ as I loved the teaching style!!
I already had some basic knowledge in HTML and CSS, but SheCodes helped me gain more knowledge and skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript. Now I feel more comfortable using them. I'm glad that I have taken the workshop.

SheCodes is a great possibility to gather initial experience in coding! The course teaches you the basics of front end development and gives you a great overview of the world of coding. SheCodes provided a well structured and future-oriented intro to coding. Matt's relaxed teaching style combined with a very practical approach, made it fun to dive deeper into the world of software engineering and gain a deeper tech understanding.

This course definitely exceeded my expectations! I didn't have any coding background and by the end of the first day I was able to understand basic html and CSS, and at the end of the course I was feeling like a real geek :)! Matt is an excellent teacher, he's able to explain the most complicated Java Script functions in a way that makes these look simple.

The SheCodes workshop was a great experience. In those intensive 2 days, we learned about HTML, CSS and JavaScript and how they interact with each other. It was lots of fun to follow the course, Matt is a great teacher and we had challenges and exercises throughout the whole workshop to test our knowledge. Finally, we had to build a website and I am determined to continue my coding path thanks to the great SheCodes team.

This was a perfect beginner level workshop, I feel like I learned so much in just one weekend, and front end development is no longer a huge black box for me. I've really enjoyed the course and feel like I have learnt a lot. The format and materials are great; it's really useful having a challenge after each video to practise what you have learnt. I've tried a lot of other coding courses and haven't felt as motivated to finish them like I have with this course as you are more accountable and the deadlines are tight. The community is great and there's lots of support available if you need it.
SheCodes Workshop was a breath of fresh air in my life, something I needed and didn't even know it. I loved this workshop because I feel I REALLY learned in these two days and now I feel able to build something from scratch. I have already recommended it and I will continue to do it. I was already interested in coding and was trying to learn online. Until one day I saw SheCodes in Porto ad and I immediatelly signed up. The workshop was wonderful, Matt is very didactic and caring, his team is always ready to help. This event gave me energy and enthusiasm to invest more in this career.
The weekend was very fun and we had the chance to learn a lot about coding. we did a lot of different exercises and in the end Matt also gave us a small briefing about the jobmarket oportunities and future trends. Really enjoyed it!

In a couple of days I learned the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a very interactive and easy way. The workshop is well structured, everything is taught with examples and then you always have an exercise to practice. Matt is an excellent teacher and is very straightfoward in the way he teaches.I really recommend this workshop if you want to understand better the programming world!!
