This was another great course by the SheCodes team. I really loved learning more about responsive design and applying the concepts to a custom-coded portfolio website! I learned a lot and feel even more prepared to apply to my first job.
The SheCodes React Workshop was a lot more challenging than SheCodes Plus, yet very engaging and Matt explains every step in a great way. The Slack Community also helped me a lot when I got stuck, which happened many times and provided great learning opportunities in every instance. I would recommend doing this course to any coder out there who would like to bring their coding skills to the next level and learn this great framework. Thank you!

I've lost my job due to the pandemic and I've been looking for a new one for about a year now. More and more I am seeing the job postings in my area (Graphic Design) demanding HTML, CSS and JS knowledge. I was always scared of learning, I always thought it was hard and impossible. I knew the basic of the basic and I was fine with it, until now. Since I started this program if caught myself being super excited about coding, about how things work and how to improve it. Shecodes workshop just opened my mind to an area I never thought about working, and I am excited to see what the future will bring.
SheCodes quickly gave me a basic understanding of coding, which will prove to be essential as I continue my career as a marketer. Highly recommend everyone to at least follow the Basic course.

I decided to challenge myself and push my limits and learn how to code. To begin the journey I made the decision last month to enrol on on a 3 week Coding Course at SheCodes, a hands-on coding workshop which teaches coding skills for women. At present only 19% of the tech workforce are women, I decided to join this course to take my future career in tech more seriously and to become a representative for black women within the technology sector. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the way it was structured, I was able to commit to this whilst working and completing my masters and also managed to build a functioning website. Never could have done this without the detailed workshops and documentation provided. Thanks to everyone at SheCodes for curating such an amazing workshop!

It has been a very brain wrecking experience not in a bad way but a very good way. Everytime i coded something or learned something new it was like a aaahh moment, like this is how the page or the web works. I am looking to now go more forward in the course where i can excel more and learn new things.
I had previously taken some in-person HTML and CSS classes, and this format is definitely the most effective methodology I have experienced. I really enjoyed the structure of the course and the resources available. I would never imagine I would learn this fast! I only wish it could teach a bit more JavaScript, as I got really curious about all that can be achieved with this language. I will definitely practice further what I learned so far, and even go deeper into coding.
During a interesting time to get to learn a new skill. I started with SheCodes. Loved it but i had my up and downs. So this course brought me a lot of insides witch way i want to go. SheCodes Plus was challenging yet fun! I have enjoyed the weekly challenges as they made me push myself and showed me what I am capable of doing. The weather project is fascinating, and I never thought I'd be able to build one myself! I will definitely continue my coding journey!
I have learnt so much in the three week course, starting from being an absolute beginner. The content is really well structured and the course is very interactive, allowing you to properly understand and apply what you have learnt. I really enjoyed the course and highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed the practical set-up of the SheCodes workshop. The videos combined with the practical assignments kept me focused. The short assignments are a great way to instantly put into practice what you just learned. It also kept me motivated as you see your own progress on the spot. The videos are very clear and the option to fast forward is very helpful if you want to rewatch a specific section.
I have tried many bootcamps, coding classes, etc. just to get the basic understanding of coding. When I tell you just learning the basics from SheCodes coding class, not only has it taught me what I am coding, but how to structure your codes while coding. Matt explains everything in detail for beginners, he leaves nothing out and that was the ahh ha! moment for me. I highly recommend joining SheCodes.
As my 4th workshop with SheCodes, I really enjoyed learning new techniques to improve my coding skills. Creating and coding on my own showed me that coding can be so much fun! I would recommend everyone to experience this!

I never thought this was something I would try, but I'm so glad I did. I learned a lot, even just from the basic course, and I feel much more knowledgeable already! Once my schedule opens up more, I hope to take some of the more advanced classes.
As my 4th workshop with SheCodes I can only give a really good review. I really enjoyed learning new hacks and ways to improve my code-learning skills. The final project for this workshop is really the perfect way to make us want to give our best, since it is a presentation of yourself and what you achieve so far.

SheCodes is an amazing program that does not only encouraging women to get involved in the ever-changing tech industry, but for being there to support students every step of the way with the real time support. Great workshop! This is a great and easy way to get into responsive web development and also to just keep on practicing and building on what was learned before. Thank you Shecodes and Matt for teaching me the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I always thought that coding would be something that required a lot of IT skills but through this course, I find out I am actually pretty good at it and picked up things fast. Especially working with VS code made it so much easier! You just need to put in some effort and do a lot of testing and you will find out it's exciting and fun to see your results immediately online 😀. These 3 weeks have taught me a lot and I am really considering signing up for the follow-up courses. It will be so much easier to create my own website and perhaps start an actual career in coding. So again thank you so much for creating this course and making it very accessible for everyone to join!

Changing a career path and learning something brand new can be challenging. I was sceptic at first if coding was something for me and overwhelmed by the variety of schools and courses offering workshops to code. I HIGHLY recommend shecodes basics to all beginners. I really had so much fun coding and hope to go further in the futur. I've never enjoyed this much learning new skills and always thought that becoming coder is such a difficult task that would take years of hard toil. Anyone can do it! Especially when you get the chance to be one of Matt's student! He is simply a great instructor and passionate about what he is doing.

It's been a long and sometimes rough ride but I'm chuffed with the progress I've made so far. I've particularly enjoyed working on my final project and getting to use the techniques and tricks learnt during the course.
I really liked the online lessons, the modules are great because you can watch whenever you want and repeat them if needed to make your projects and homework. I learned a lot in just three weeks.

The SheCodes Responsive course is a MUST! It was so helpful to learn the little tricks that can be added to your code to make websites look and operate smoothly across various devices! The project you work on throughout the course offers you a chance to really have fun with your code and design a website that benefits your journey as a developer!

I am truly grateful to Matt and the SheCodes group for guiding me in this amazing journey of coding! It has been tough to keep up with the homework and with the deadlines while following university classes, but thanks to the flexibility of the workshops and the their precious help, I have managed to complete and succeed in both. Cannot believe how much I have learnt in the past few months and most importantly, I cannot wait to keep learning and expand my knowledge of the coding and programming world. Just finished my second SheCodes project and I couldn't be happier! I loved creating the final project and learning more about JavaScript!
It's been a fun and also tough ride! Especially half way I spent a lot of time problem solving. But that's part of learning and made me even more proud of the progress I've made. I would recommend this course to any woman interested in coding. I also enjoyed helping out fellow students on Slack after I've finished my own challenges.

This was a fun learning experience. Some tasks were challenging but I've learned so much in the last 3 weeks.
I never would of imagined myself trying to learn how to program. I've never been good at math and always thought good analytical skills was needed for this kind of area. Matt the instructor taught me this is not true and indeed anyone can learn how to program. I loved how the course was set up and the instructions were easy to follow and step-by-step. I really enjoyed the course and would really recommend it!

As a designer, I used to build web pages on Wordpress, but I was very limited by not knowing about code. In the first classes I discovered many solutions that would have made my job a lot easier! The workshop explains everything in a simple way. I am very excited to continue learning!
I've gone from knowing nothing at all to building my own webpage and understanding simple code in a very short space of time. I'm excited for what's to come and to build on this base knowledge.
Finally, being able to code using JS and integrate API calls into my code boosts my confidence to another level. Using version control tools and being able to host my app on the hosting site and seeing it go live gives me a sense of pride.
