I've been working with IT students, who are currently developing the MVP for my startup idea. And, it bothered me that I was so reliant on them to make small adjustments on our webpage. Such as; correcting spelling errors, or making certain words bold. I also thought it was poor use of valuable resource for these software developers to spend time on these minor tasks. So, I wanted to learn basic coding, so that I could contribute on the technical side of the business. This course has demystified coding for me, and I have truly enjoyed working on the final project. I'm so proud of myself for having learnt something new, and 100% would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in getting started with software development.
This Workshop is the best investment 💰 I have ever made. I had zero experience in coding. At first, I was skeptical about all the promises Matt made in his introductory video. It was sounding like something impossible 🙀. But with baby steps, he taught me and many others how easy it is if you are willing to try. This was a very helpful and appropriately paced course for the content provided! I really enjoyed having the deadlines to keep me accountable and the many challenges to prove I understood the lesson. I'd definitely recommend this course to someone with little or no coding experience who is interesting in learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript!
It is definitely more challenging in this workshop, but thanks to Matt, it is much easier to pick up and keep going. This workshop is a whole new experience for me and I really enjoy it!

SheCodes was great because the videos are very clear and self explanatory. I could understand and while watching to the videos, I was working on my codes and practicing what I was learning in class. I loved this workshop and can't wait to keep learning. The lessons were easy to follow, and I enjoyed that the challenges often required more steps than what was covered. It was helpful to learn that process of troubleshooting independently, and Matt provided multiple resources to do so. This was a great introduction to coding.
I took this workshop dreading it, that's the truth... 🤷🏻♀️ During my Chemical Engineering degree, I had to take c++ and Matlab courses and I was so very bad at both, I barely passed. It was an awful experience. I promised myself - never again! After a while, realizing coding is not going anywhere, on the contrary, it's becoming a rather basic language so many of us speak, I decided it's time to try again. And although I might not dream of becoming a developer professionally, I wanted to understand what the developers I work with do, what it is that my friends talk about and why do all developers hate semicolons so much... To my surprise, this second coding experience for me was such a success! I absolutely loved it and I am looking forward to continuing this journey, it's such a fun one! ❤

I have avoided coding for years as I thought it meant you had to be good at maths (which I certainly am not!) but after watching the free introductory course, I was hooked! Matt is fantastic - he explains everything clearly and the videos are only 5-15 minutes so they are the perfect length. I have really enjoyed the challenges, it's great that you get the opportunity to put theory into practice at each step. I would 100% recommend this workshop to fellow beginner coders!

SheCodes Plus was very challenging since we deepened the coding languages learnt before. The construction of the weather app with APIs showed us the power of programming! During the intensive 8 weeks, I had ups and downs, but mainly overcoming difficult challenges made me proud of myself. Can't wait to start the Responsive course 🙃
Having access to a group of fellow students and professionals on Slack for almost instantaneous assistance is so helpful when learning from home. I felt the course content progressed at a steady pace, and when you finish the course wanting more content you know the course has succeeded in the aim of introducing you to coding and inspiring you to continue learning. I've watched a few coding instructional videos and Matt has been the best presenter by far; the content he presents is concise and his delivery is clear and personable.

As a product designer I have to communicate with developers on a daily basis, their job is to make my designs come to life. From the start of my career it bothered me that I do not speak the same language as them when it comes to the design, so I was eager to find the right platform to give me some insight about how coding actually works. SheCodes had the perfect solution, the basics workshop was just what I needed to build a better relationship with my developers. after only 2 weeks of taking the workshop my communication with them became 10x more effective, it was amazing to be able to speak in the same language and to use the same terms that they use. Matt was a great teacher, the lessons were simple, short and clear. SheCodes is affordable for someone that can't afford college classes and fixes in easy with my work week. I can work at my own pace and if I need help understanding something the community is there to help and is so great. I will be signing up for more workshops.

I am never sure about online courses, but I am glad I took the chance on SheCodes! Easy to follow and pick up
I started this class because a colleague helping me with a project said he could eliminate 80% of my steps with a script. I had no idea this was possible and no idea how to do it. So, even though I have no coding experience, I decided to take a few classes. Even though I'm just at the Basics level, I now have a small understanding of what he wrote to make all of that magic happen. I'm ready for SheCodes Plus!

Great experiance in every possible way. Don't get me wrong: it was hard, sometimes even frustrating but with all help that this course is giving, you can feel the real progress, have fun, exercise your brain (yes, I mean that !) and in the end: believe in yourself. WOW I coded this little app! This is only the very basic beginning but gives you a lot of satisfaction and even if you don't want to continue to code, the course was very worth it.

Having completed the SheCodes Basic workshop, I couldn't wait to start SheCodes Plus. I had learned so much in the first 3 weeks that I was excited to expand my knowledge and practical skills and this workshop didn't disappoint. The support team on slack have been super responsive and friendly too. SheCodes Plus is as great as the original workshops, just with more content.This part of the series refreshes you on the basic html, css and javascript learned previously, and extends upon it with more complex functionality and layouts (and how bootstrap can help). It also shows you how to use apis, how easy it is to use github and to host your own page. It has great explanations and examples, and you're encouraged to reflect on what you've learned which puts into perspective how far you've come.
The introductory course was a great intro to the principles of coding, and uses lots of fun examples and exercises. The lessons are taught in manageable chunks, and the instruction is very clear with plenty of examples. I really enjoyed the experience, and would encourage anyone else who has always been curious about coding, but lacking in confidence to give it a go! You will be surprised at what you will achieve! Thanks again!
SheCodes lessons are so creative. You are learning something new, improving your knowledge of coding, all while having fun. I only learned the basics but I am excited to continue widening my knowledge!
I truly recommend the course! Really think that its structure and set of information that you go through are amazing! Also, despite a full-time job and other responsibilities, I managed to fit the lessons, the individual challenges after them, and the weekly homework, so the self-paced aspect is a really big advantage! I really enjoyed this workshop as much as I did the first one! It was a little bit hard to keep up with the schedule throughout this workshop as I just started my first full-time job last April but I'm so proud that I've managed to finish my project 😊 Matt did a great job teaching new skills and keeping me motivated to learn in every lesson. Can't wait to start the React Workshop already!
