An enjoyable short course with many tips for making websites responsive to different devices as well as SEO friendly. Having the opportunity of working from a figma design for the final project was very fun and useful too.
This was my third SheCodes workshop, and I loved it! The final project we were learning to build was so much fun and so useful. I come out of this journey, not only with knowledge on how to make a website responsive but also with a portfolio I can update and use to share my work!
I had a lot of fun with this. I do suggest you get a reference book, to look up somethings without having to Google or ask on Slack
This was my second workshop and I can recommend it as much as the first one. Especially the option to get in touch with the team directly when I was stuck, proved itself to be very beneficial along the way.
One of the best basic coding classes I've attended. I've never been so far into a coding course and understood so much. The community is so supportive as well as whenever I'm stuck, first of all, there is no judgement, and second of all, the community would gladly assist me. It's an overall positive group which really makes a big difference in my learning. I'm glad I enrolled myself with SheCodes and am looking to further enhance my coding knowledge!
SheCodes Basics was a lovely way to be introduced into the world of coding. The video tutorials were incredibly easy to follow, and you're also given the source code so you don't have to worry about frantically taking notes. The Challenges along the way ensured that you understood the material and served as a useful checkpoint. I genuinely enjoyed my first coding experience!
I had so much fun during the coding process, the classes were very simple to understand. Coding isn't as hard as they make it sound. The best part was working on my project.
Doing all the workshops I like React workshop the most. It was very challenging. My journey with coding will not end just here with SheCodes React. I will do my best to keep learning. Because it is plenty to learn still. I am highly recommended to any woman to do them all from basic, plus, responsive, and react. Learning is key!!!.
I can't believe it's been only three weeks since I started coding! It has definitely been an amazing journey with Matt and the SheCodes support system! I am truly grateful to be a part of SheCodes family and am very excited to continue my coding path with them!
In every one eyes coding is a big world full of complications! Here, SheCodes made this world understandable. you can go forward step by step, not confused with hard phrases. No word is said by Matt and left undefined, every thing is clear here. Highly recommended to absolute beginners.
Such a fun class to get started with coding! I enjoyed all of the lessons and projects, and I feel more confident about my ability to dive in deeper after learning the basics.
The workshop is not bad for someone who's just starting! I've taken an HTML class in college and I feel like there's a lot of information left out to know. But I'm trying to remain optimistic since I know this is just the basics workshop. If you don't plan on taking any workshop past the basics, I suggest you watch more videos on YouTube, Udemy, or read an HTML and CSS basics. Extra outside resources is always good!
SheCodes has become a platform for me to believe anyone can do coding as a beginner even without a computer background. I am proud that I took SheCodes basic which gave me confidence and can do attitude. All you need is interest and determination to do coding.

I had had ZERO experience with coding before I had the opportunity to do the SheCodes workshop and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The way Matt explains it in the videos is really comprehendable for everyone. I myself am just a musician but was capable of learning something so much different and I love it. I'm really considering buying the next course! Although for a non-working student it might be a bit tough haha
SheCodes basic provides easy-to-follow content for absolute beginners. Having the capability to play lectures over when necessary is a big plus that gives flexibility. Self past on the topic works well when you are a working professional that want to expand their knowledge and try something new :) Slack responsiveness on problems is astonishing and very well received - so impressed. A friendly and helpful atmosphere draws you and keeps you feeling like there is always a solution, you just need to ask :) Hope to continue my journey with SheCodes. SheCodes was a great experience.SheCodes Plus was a bit more challenging than SheCodes basic, but finally I could do it and I really enjoyed this.

SheCodes workshop leads me step by step through the learning process. The challenges after lessons initiate me to experiment, look for answers and go through the trial and error for the solution. It is brilliant.

I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes Basic Workshop. Learning a new skill I never in a million years thought I would do. I wanted to try something completely new from what I do for work on a daily basis since I have worked in the same field since I graduated college (10+years). The lectures are super easy to follow and I was able to troubleshoot most of my coding issues myself or by using the slack channel. I highly recommend anyone that is on the fence about this program to give it a try.
I never thought that coding can be so exciting. It is very addictive. Once I start it is not easy to finish. The lessons are very easy to follow and the whole course is built together very well. I am glad that I started this journey.

I personally feel quite strongly that it's important to learn new skills from people who are passionate about them. It is clear that Matt is very passionate about teaching these skills in a clear, uncluttered and approachable manner. Each concept is introduced in a bite size video that is easy to fit into a corner of your day without feeling overwhelmed. I've learned that while there are endless possibilities of things any person can accomplish in theory, the surest way to actually do a thing is to make it easy for yourself. This course has made coding easy and convenient for the beginner. The variety of resources made available through the SheCodes site such as color palettes, cheat sheets and CSS code generators also show the attention to detail put into the process. Then there is the other half of the matter: access to a community of like-minded women ready to help when you get stuck. This eliminates the feeling of isolation despite being 100% online. All in all the whole learning experience feels very thorough and well thought out. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes Team for all the care you have put into designing the SheCodes journey.
This is an amazing course! I started this course to learn how to code websites rather than relying on the drag & drop method and feel very confident to test my skills out immediately. Very excited to be moving on to the Plus workshop to continue to learn more! 😁
I was nervous because this was my first time learning how to code, but everything was explained clearly so I could follow along and play with each new element or property that was taught. I liked that I could learn at my own pace and start building my coding vocabulary. Coding isn't scary and can be very fun!
Coming into this workshop with no experience it was easy to be a bit nervous. However, I was determined to learn something I’ve always been interested in and I’m glad I took the opportunity. The lectures were simple to follow and the concepts I learned are extremely valuable. I’ve already recommended SheCodes to friends I know are also interested to learn the basics of coding. I’m already looking forward to taking the PRO workshop!

Coding is really fun, it is very satisfying to construct a page and experience how ideas are materialized. The team has been most supportive, questions get answered promptly. Most importantly, the instruction videos are clear and easy to follow and I love that it allowed me to learn according to my pace.

When I first saw coding, I thought it was a completely different language! (no pun intended) but ever since doing the SheCodes 3 week course, I have learnt so many fundamental skills. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone!
This was a great start for my journey to become a junior developer, the lessons are short but well explained. The challenges at the end of each session are great for practicing right away and also Matt is constantly encouraging to find solutions and go beyond of what is being taught. Matt is a great teacher, he is explaining everything in a very simple way. I enjoyed SheCodes Basics very much and it highly motivated me to dive even deeper in these completely new field for me. The course is arranged in a very interactive way where there is a task after each lecture so it's not only theory here but practice too and this is one of the main features that makes SheCodes different than any other product on the market.

I wanted to learn html, css and javascript for a long time, but never made it to the end of an online course. With SheCodes it was fun and challenging and I really enjoyed learning new skills!
It has been an absolutely incredible experience! My love for coding grows more & more with each assignment/lesson/project ( also a bit of frustration here & there lol). Overall I am glad I decided to invest into this experience not only for my present self but my future self as well!

I work in a completely unrelated field (healthcare), but felt like I wanted to pick up another skill/hobby when I happened to come across SheCodes. I'm so glad I did because I ended up really enjoying the Basics workshop 😊 Matt's a great teacher and made the content really easy for an absolute beginner like myself (beginner as in, I didn't even know what HTML or CSS was before I started, much less how to design a landing page). After SheCodes Basic I felt good that I can build my own website but now, with SheCodes Plus I can build a website that has access to real data! It's amazing.
