I fell in love with learning to code back in the Basics course and took the plunge to further my knowledge. While I found it more of a challenge this round, I'm super proud of myself to continue my journey and learn more in-depth ways to program using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I definitely plan on creating more projects and continuing to learn new skills with SheCodes!
This workshop was TOUGH. I have definitely been struggling between working a full-time job, commuting, and keeping up with lessons. It's taken me a bit longer to get a grasp around JavaScript, but I am grateful for the help that we, as students, get from others on the SheCodes Slack.
This workshop gave me the basic knowledge and skills to get into web design. The way the course is taught along with the weekly challenges makes it easy to grasp the concepts and fun to learn how to code! I'm definitely interested in taking the more advanced workshops to continue learning about coding and increase my skill level
I had a great experience with SheCodes. The lessons were so easy to follow and the challenges and homework assignments were great reinforcement of the skills taught. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in starting their coding journey! SheCodes rocks!!
This workshop was the perfect balance of guided and hands on. I was really motivated to learn more and try new things! My biggest takeaway is that I was duped for years thinking coding was something impossible for me to do.
Honestly, for something I knew nothing about previously, I really enjoyed this class and think this could be potentially something I'd like to do in the future.
Great intro course to coding!
I truly loved this workshop! I started this workshop because I've always been curious about coding and wanted to learn something new. After completing the 3 week intro workshop I can honestly say I was genuinely impressed. The lessons were clear and easy to understand. The challenge assignments and homework were carefully crafted to optimize learning and foster critical thinking skills. Additionally, help was constantly available via the Slack platform and the SheCodes team responded to questions quickly. This course does take time to complete, but it is entirely possible to complete it with a full time work load (for reference I am a full time grad student and work part-time). I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop and continue to learn with SheCodes!

This workshop has been amazing. I took a few computer science classes during college but never got the hang of it. I remember getting so frustrated I'd cry even after I started getting help from upperclassmen. This workshop made it so much easier to understand. Now I actually enjoy coding and hope to learn more.

I loved taking this course and learning from Matt as well as with the help from the SheCodes team. I felt very accomplished with what I was able to create, and I'm eager to learn even more in the upcoming workshops. I've even been able to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in new projects at my current job thanks to this course! The video format was very helpful because I was able to go back and re-watch explanations or go back to different lessons to freshen up my understanding of different concepts. The way the course is laid out is very organized. On to the next course!
I love that felling when you understand everything about coding, SheCodes give us the simple knowledge and push to try and try and when everything was done you have that amazing felling.
I really enjoyed this formation. It gave me confidence to go further on the coding path. The classes are clear and very pedagogic . The step by step approach helps to build momentum and a quick assimilation of knowledge.
Very challenging, but also very rewarding at the end. You get to make 2 projects in this workshop and delve into the world of React. I highly recommend it. The lessons are great, plus you can always get help on Slack if something is not clear enough.
I joined the SheCodes course to have a basic understanding of the coding vocabulary and how things work. It was awesome and I want more!

SheCodes is my first step into learning about code. I enjoy the set up, its easy to understand but still offers a challenge when it comes to finding solutions. I am currently working in healthcare but I would like to eventually step out of the field. I love that I can do SheCodes from home on my free time since I do work full-time, and going back to school isn't in my budget at the moment so SheCodes is an affordable option for me to learn.

When I started SheCodes Plus I was about to start a new job at a large company as a UX designer where I would be working with developers on the designs I made for mobile apps and websites. I wanted to be able to speak their language by learning how to code. SheCodes Plus really helped me transition into my new role, even just by teaching me terminology like "Calling an API" (and knowing how to do it in Javascript!) or being able to read code when I would inspect a page on our company site for things I needed to reference. It gave me a lot more confidence in my skills - especially with being the "new girl" on the team. SheCodes Plus really focuses on Javascript which I found to be the trickiest of the three coding languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript - I'm very comfortable with CSS now lol). Overtime I started to get the hang of it especially when we got to the Vanilla Javascript stuff. I love how Matt teaches and everything is so well structured its easy to follow along. The community is great, too, because they are so fast to get back to you when you have an issue and help you get through it (This is super handy for Javascript btw!). I cannot wait to jump into Responsive! I wasn't sure if I was going to do the React course at first, but Matt kept saying that things get a lot more straightforward when we get to React, so I will now be doing that one, too, and finish off all the courses! Thanks so much for all you do Matt, team, and SheCodes! This is a fun course!

The SheCodes work is a great course. It builds upon the knowledge gained during the Basics course and introduces you to the development tools and processes used in today's world. The course is well organized and well taught. The possibility of working on a real-life app is an amazing incentive and the possibility of building something concrete is really satisfying.

SheCodes Plus really gets into the details and give you an advanced insight. The lessons and the challenger need your full attention, but I can not describe it any other way, it's really great! I never thought I'd be able to code until I found SheCodes. The weekly deadlines always forced me to continue and push through to finding solutions when I was stuck and the knowlesge that there was a community of people that I could fall back on for support really helped me overcome the challenges this course presented.

SheCodes has been one of the best things I started in years. The video's are amazing, the community is great and it's a very easy and good start te learn how to code. and don't forget: it's so much fun! I think Matt and his team has found a great way of making coding fun and I celebrate the fact that they target women. And they do it realy well, with Cat's coding, lots of emoji's and even jokes. I highly recomend SheCodes to learn how to code, to get a new skill and to have fun!

SheCodes Plus has not been easy or a walk on a bed of marshmallows. Multiple late night sessions for me, but the things learned has been phenomenal with practices that reinforces the concepts of the things that we have learned over the past 8 weeks.
What a terrific program, an egoless environment that encourages anyone to give it a try whilst allowing students to learn at their own pace. It's very easy to then further progress with the synchronised courses - would highly recommend to any women considering not only a career change, but even just a new skill set.

Javascript can be confusing at times but Matt is an excellent teacher and explains it so well at every step. It was almost 3 months of quite hard work but the result is worth it ⭐️ SheCodes Plus requires more effort than Basic workshop but if you like challenges 💪 then this is something for you. I got bunch of new extra useful information about API and JS plus all resources necessary to build my very first application. Matt as always is a great teacher who knows how to explain the most difficult stuff the easiest possible way. Entering fascinating world of coding now I really know how much I don't know 😅 but for sure I feel more confident and I'm looking forward to continue my journey with front end development and to see where it brings me 👩🏻💻👀🛤
