My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding SheCodes Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding π plus I have completed my shecodes plus and responsive it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me Iβm learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project β€οΈβ

This is my 4th course already and I can't believe all the things that I learnt. The way of the lessons are structured and how Matt teach makes easily to follow. I'm very proud of myself because I graduate more than 10 years ago and make a routine to sit down and learn was not easy. But as I said the structure of the lesson helps to make them easy to follow. My knowledge about tech was only as customer, but now that I learn a little bit more, I want to keep learning and make this my new job.

I enjoyed this course. It was very challenging which was good for me. I was provided assistance all the way through until the end. I would say completing the assignments weekly was very hard especially as the weeks went on but the assistance on slack is very reliable and timely. Overall, this is a good course.

Basics Add-On was a good exercise and extension after having completed the Basics workshop. I love that I can make the webpage more visually dynamic. The course took me a day to complete. Hands down, the sequence of the workshops was amazing. Once you have mastered or drilled in the basic steps, it is really easy to move forward from there. However, I did encounter two issues that I wasn't able to solve alone, and asking for help on Slack wasn't fruitful. Luckily, I have resources at home. With that said, having a team on Slack does provide me with an emotional safety net.
Many thanks to the entire SheCodes team for opening up the world of programming for me. Thank you for making your lessons so easy to understand. Thank you for your hard work, support and for the chance to learn how to code for free. Looking forward to continuing my education :)

When I started SheCodes basics, I had no background in coding. I had no Idea on how to do anything related to coding but now I know a thing or two. Also, Matt makes coding really fun! he is a great instructor.
I really enjoyed this workshop. Matt explains everything in a simple, digestible way. I have ADD and long learning videos are usually super tiring for me, so the short moduls were great. Same for the challenges with deadlines - I learn best by physically doing the thing I'm studying (plus I'm more likely to actually practice, if someone else is "waiting" for a result), so this was great, aswell. Looking forward to the next one!

I have always thought that websites automatically resize themselves when viewed in different mediums (cellphone, laptop), through SheCodes Response I have learned that it is the developer's job to do that.
The course gives step-by-step instructions how to start with React, create components, use state, fetch data using API. Matt is a great instructor, he explains every little detail and how things work in a simple way. I had a little problem with deployment, and SheCodes team helped via Slack channel promptly. The best course I have taken so far!
The world of codes is a fantastic world. It sometimes be difficult, but it so practical. I would be recommended coding workshops of Shecode foundation to anybody who likes coding.

It's been 3 weeks of intense learning and project execution. I've grasped the foundation and have successfully applied HTML, CSS and JavaScript in building a project in this coding workshop.

SheCodes Responsive was my favorite course that I've taken so far! I really enjoyed creating a responsive website and getting more proficient at the process of writing code.
I think this was an alright lecture, with some useful links to websites and extensions. However, I think some of this information was quite generic.
I was surprised how complicated this was, love it
I am a Special Education Teacher with no experience in coding. Coding is something completely outside of the box for me and that is exactly what I was looking for. This class was presented in a way that I enjoyed and learned a lot from. I'm looking forward to sign up for the next class.
This was a tough ride! However with all the systematic lessons by Matt and the support from other SheCoders in Slack, it made it so much easier for me. I truly enjoyed all the classes! SheCodes Plus Add-On was another great workshop by Matt! I really enjoyed diving deeper into javascript and enjoyed building a new and exciting project in such a short period of time.

I have really enjoyed SheCodes so far! I love that it feels as if they thought of any possible event/question that you might have and gave you the tools to overcome them before you even had to reach out for help! Matt is also incredibly good at explaining things simply and logically, which makes learning much more enjoyable. I used to see coding as something only a few (that had studied for years and years) could understand, but thanks to SheCodes, now I know that if you have the right people to teach you and have your heart set to learn it, you can start understanding a few things since day 1!

I have been working at a technology company and even though I don't use coding on my day-to-day, I realized how much of a difference understanding the basics can make. I decided to do this course because I attended one of the free workshops and I thought was easy to understand. I always had an interest in technology and I remember sitting in my room all day as a teenager, in front of my computer, coding new looks for my personal blog. This brought me back to those moments and I am very grateful. It's been a fun journey and it made me want to learn more.
Absolutely love Matt's step-by-step approach! Lots of aha moments while I worked on my Plus project, and the SheCodes team were just a Slack message away whenever I got stuck. On to the next workshop!
One of my favorite workshops yet! I learned how to create an entire responsive webpage embedded with media such as videos, music, social media posts, etc. This was quite enlightening and overall fun!
