This course was really nice and simple. It was so easy to learn, I highly recommend it because it is so beginner friendly. I am happy to have stumbled upon the SheCodes Foundation. I feel like a coder just by being able to pass the basics. I'm so excited for the next upcoming lessons.
Learning how to use two seperate API's within the same function and using a shared variable was new and helpful tip. Now I feel even more confident in using API's. Thanks Matt.
It's great that at the end of this course we have first app in our portfolio and we're learning how to use GitHub and Netlify!
This was a fantastic workshop, offering an excellent opportunity to learn about the world of coding from broad concepts such as how the internet functions to understanding the details of how to populate, style and animate interactive websites.

All the techniques we've learnt up until now are starting to become second nature, and these are all things that were almost completely new to me a few weeks ago. I had tons of fun while taking the course SheCodes Basics. I already had an interest in learning more about tech and programming languages, so this was definitely a great way to confirm my interest and learn more!
I cant believe how Shecodes changed my life in just 3 weeks. Shecodes made me a software engineer in the making. I was able to do lots of research when I am stuck on tasks and home work.I learnt and excelled during my 3 weeks training on html,css and javascript. I would recommend Shecodes to anyone especially with no coding experience like me. Matt is a good teacher.

This intro course demystified the complexity of coding for me - Matt is good at breaking things down into easy to comprehend modules. I did try to over-complicate things and got stuck a couple of times (managed to find the errors myself), but did see that the SheCodes team was quick to assist other learners over on slack when they needed it. I enjoyed learning CSS part of coding the best as I am rather creative and loved playing around with the look of webpages etc.
Just finished my 3rd course with SheCodes and every time I am impressed. Its so much fun! I feel more and more like a professional with each course that I complete. Thank You to Matt and the SheCodes team!
Learning about front-end development from scratch and very basic things was a long, but rewarding journey! Most definitely I’ve learned a lot of new technologies (which seemed like scary words at the very beginning): HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, API, Bootstrap, GitHub, etc. And now I’m really thrilled to continue my journey to become the coolest front-end developer You know! 🤪
She Codes has been a very great platform to help me be able to enhance my performance in coding .I have learnt that it requires time ;focus and persistence .It has enforced the hidden potential I thought I did not have which I have seen I have .I have noticed not only did I learn coding but I have faced difficulties that required me to have patience and persevere .It has taught me more about commitment in what I do and I have endured because time to time I had fallen more fond to coding.
This course was an amazing experience. I had three weeks to finish all my lessons and assignments but I just couldn't wait so I completed the course in over a week! The journey has completely changed my previous opinion about coding. There was little math involved in this basic course so I could use my creativity to create a simple website page, which is something I'm extremely proud of. Matt's instructions were simple but effective, and there were the Slack community and Athena AI to assist me during my learning process. I will definitely continue to improve my limited coding knowledge through other more advanced SheCodes courses.
Another workshop bites the dust. I must say it was a very challenging but loved every moment of it.

The whole process of learning was fun! I liked the fact that there were challenges to be completed. It does not only help me learn, but also master the skills for that particular lesson. It also allowed me to research and discover things that were not discussed in the video lecture.

i have been wanting to do something different that can allow me to have the privilege of working at home when i had to, as a single mum.but most important is that i had always had interest in coding but did not know how to go about it, but then saw the recommendation about Shecodes. After a while joined the course and i have no single regret, glad i joined.
The SheCodes Basics course was, at the same time, everything that I hoped for and much more than I imagined. The classes were short, but packed with knowledge and information, and even though I had a lot to learn every week, I never felt lost or overwelmed. It has been one of the things I have enjoyed the most when learning, I didn't know anything about codes, learning the basics and that fast is gratifying and encourages me to continue.
Basics for me was not hard because i am not new in coding but still have some gapes especially in css.

SheCodes Plus was a great addition to furthering my skills in web design! It is a bit more challenging but the lessons are well thought out and Matt takes the time to make sure everything is well understood.

As a coding newbie this has been challenging but so much fun! It's a great start to learning the basics. I love the small, focused steps of learning with application tasks throughout the week followed by a more challenging application task at the end of the week. The scaffolding of the learning is fantastic with learners signposted to lots of resources to help them. While my end of unit project won't win any design awards, I'm so proud of what I have learned in just 3 weeks!

This has been my very first experience with Coding. The best part of coding to me is to see the results of your work straight away. I love that I have now learnt how to create the basics of a website and I have really enjoyed seeing this first project from start to finish. I really enjoyed this workshop - you learn a lot of cool things in a short amount of time. The structure of the course is great and I like how all the lessons before it are then used to create the final project which really helps build the coding skills into your muscle memory.
I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid £1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost £500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.
I started this course knowing absolutely nothing about coding and finished this short course with a lot of knowledge about what coding is and even could be. I find myself thinking how certain websites were coded and how I would go about it myself. Although it was a lot of information, Matt did a great job at teaching clearly, having the videos to refer back too was a great help too.

This project was super complex, but I enjoyed learning all the different components of integrating the API, adding all the functionalities, and even making it look aesthetically pleasing. Even though sometimes I struggled when coding, I loved learning how to code a weather app and integrating API (real data) to the weather app. It feels so fascinating when you make something work ! SheCodes makes it easy to digest all the information into smaller lessons. And using VS Code, GitHub and Netlifly to publish the web apps, made it like I am one step closer to become a full-fledged front-end developer. :)

I sincerely thank Matte and others for giving me chance to study Coding. In all honesty, I started this course without even knowing or having a knowledge of what I was doing. The only thing I knew on computer is typing in Ms Word and Excel. I really struggled to understand some terms but I did not give up. I started getting everything right in week three. During the 3rd week I found myself able to code and built on some assignments. I was really happy.
