After I finished SheCodes Basic I immediately started with SheCodes Plus. The combination of short teaching videos, followed by challenges during which you immediately apply the learnt material makes this so satisfying. The learning curve is steep and I will definitely go back and go through the material again! Additionally, I now have the confidence to apply for jobs that require to communicate with technical teams - that is a huge leap forward from where I was just a few weeks ago! 8 weeks of knowledge, not complaining at all. I have learned a lot about search engine, API integration(it was not easy but taking my time and replaying the videos until I got it right helped a lot, also not to forget help from the slack team as well) and so much more. It is crazy that I can now create a functioning forecast weather search app. Grateful for the opportunity to learn such skill at no cost.
Following SheCodes workshops is always a motivating journey for me. The hands-on projects are the best way to learn and immerse myself in coding. It makes me reproduce what the instructor showed in the short videos using my own ideas, but also find a lot of new solutions along the way and play around with my own coding. The learning curve is extremely fast and high!
I was nervous about self-paced education, but this was really helpful to me! I like that Matt gives examples in the videos but instructs to create our own design, so we can learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from our own experimentation.
This program has been easy to follow and understand; even for someone with minimal to no experience in coding. The videos were short and full of information, and completing homework assignments was easier with all the resources She Codes provides.
I found my SheCodes introduction to the basics journey very exceptional because you get to ask questions when you need help and Matt is very calm and makes sure that when he explains things you fully understand what is said through the videos. It makes me thrilled to know that am one step away from being where I see myself in the tech world.
All the videos are easy to follow along to and understand!! Some concepts would be so confusing to understand otherwise, but everything is simplified in his videos. I love tech and can't wait to find my job!!
Joining was honestly the most amazing thing that could have happened for me, I learned new skills and my knowledge on coding has expanded Matt's teaching style was very short, to the point and very understandable , I barely had to rewind! The videos are in bite sizes for you to absorb it more and I honestly prefer it this way! If you prefer a mostly self-paced but also guided learning experience I Reccomend SheCodes!
I had so much fun with this workshop! I loved to experiment with various color schemes for the backgrounds and try to match everything to make it look pretty. The short videos were super helpful because they focused on one thing at a time, making everything easier to grasp. Can't wait to dive into more workshops!

This was an excellent starter course for people with no prior coding experience. The training videos are easy enough to follow along and comprehensive. I personally really enjoyed the repetitious coding challenges put in to place to make sure I understood what I had learned and to help retain information. Matt did an excellent job instructing in this workshop, keeping me engaged with lessons being short and to the point.
Very structured curricullum, with good videos, a good AI and very good support through Slack. I tried other programs online, but ended up getting frustrated. I did not get frustrated this time!

This was a great add-on course to the basic learnings of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It was especially fun to try and code at the same time as the learning videos for the project (assignment) for this course. This was a great way to test my understanding of what was being done, and see if I have found other ways to do reach the same solution.
The basics course was such a wonderful introduction to coding! Do not let its short timeframe fool you - you learn a ton of new things during those three weeks. The projects are fun and engaging, and comprehensive explanations are provided in the 'solution' videos. This course is for everyone who wants a smooth introduction into the coding world.

Repetition is key! Be not afraid to watch the videos multiple times. I take a nap after and then it all clicks. Being good at this is not an overnight skill. The journey is never-ending. Through this course, I see that I have a lot to learn. This was beyond fun and I enjoyed it.

Lessons are very structured as always. I love that we are building towards working on building a functional web application, and the lessons throughout are broken down to teach the essentials we need to learn for the HTML, CSS, and JS + how to use GIT and deploy the website in the end. Felt like we have a goal to work towards while learning the harder concept. It's also always so good to see Matt code it from scratch at the videos and see the way he tries to debug the code when it's not working. so helpful.
I have learn a lot in the first two weeks, and when it came to the project, I was able to apply my knowledge and complete the project. I was able to be creative as possible. The videos made it easy to understand HTML and JavaScript, and the different challenges helped me practice and have a better understand on each topic.
I must say it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The curriculum was expertly designed, covering everything from basic principles to advanced techniques. The videos were not only knowledgeable but also easy to follow and understand which made learning enjoyable. The hands-on projects and real-world simulations were particularly valuable as they allowed me to apply what I learned in a practical setting.
This React workshop compared to the Basics or Plus workshops does not solidy concepts as much. I felt as though I didn't learn as much as before and most of the concepts were only brushed upon in the videos.
I learnt a lot from the 3 week course, and definitely enjoyed coding. I love how the videos were short and straight to the point, I would definitely like to continue learning.
The SheCodes Responsive-Add on has allowed me to deeper my understanding of responsive design. It has also enabled me to gain more knowledge using pure CSS without having to rely on frameworks such as: Bootstrap. This program offered a balance between creativity and a strong foundational approach, enabling me to explore new ideas while maintaining a solid skill set. I enjoyed building projects related to what I am passionate about it, and I learned valuable techniques such as embedding videos and media, creating tables and grids, making the learning experience both enjoyable and informative.
I enjoyed the Shecodes basics course, The course is very beginner-friendly. I like that the videos are not long, you take them in small bites. Matt is a very good instructor, I cannot wait to start the Shecodes plus workshop.

Before starting this course, I knew a little about code, but I learned so much more while here. It gave me the confidence to build a landing page correctly. There is so much support from other members and the staff in case you get stuck - which i did for the more technical side and received my answers quickly. The videos are easy to follow, so much so that I was able to watch them while looking after a baby.
This course was very challenging but Matt's video breaks down the steps to help understand the concepts. Although I had to watch some videos few times to understand one concepts because some of the concepts were difficult, the course is worth the try for your skills!

As a psychology graduate, I was feeling lost and discouraged after university, having difficulties finding a job it felt like I made the wrong decision. After my friend encouraged me to look into SheCodes and how it would broaden my horizons I felt as if coding would an impossible thing for me to learn and I was so intimidated but the structured lessons that are so accessible and explained in bite size videos made it so easy to understand and Matt was so encouraging even over the videos, his passion for coding and wanting women to learn and enter the tech world transcended through the phone and made me feel as if I could really do it, which I did.

Being an adult in my 40's I was skeptical on giving this a go. But after some hard work, and watching the videos over and over, I was able to accomplish this. They provide you with so many resources and other people that are willing to help you on your journey
This course is not meant to be simple but it is a language and with practice and the great videos from Matt, you do get there and it's a lot of fun!
I had so much of fun learning how to code. It is challenging but the videos, the community forum and the examples were so helpful! A very educational and fun course. I loved that I could be creative with the final project! It's very empowering to learn how to code and now know how to actually code. I thoroughly enjoyed the learning process, and words cannot fully express the excitement I felt, particularly while grasping the basics. Completing this module brought me to tears because initially, I doubted my ability to understand coding. However, the well-paced homework assignments and instructional videos made the experience both comfortable and enjoyable.
It required a lot more attention and lots of rewatching the videos but the flow of lessons kept me focused because every small concept is broke down to understand the bigger concept. I think it good for anyone wanting to skill up.

This course was well organized as I was able to get to videos and source codes easily it is not complicated to follow through , I hope to learn more soon.
Where do I even begin?! Starting my journey with SheCodes was just the push I needed to discover my creative side again. Learning how to code has been challenging but having the videos to return back to makes it a little easier when in doubt. I would highly recommend joining SheCodes as a beginner.
I completed the Basics course with SheCodes because I wanted to challenge and computers and tech had always made me a teeny bit anxious. I'm very grateful to SheCodes for demystifying basic coding in this manner. I loved the accessibility of the course and found the videos helpful. I'm sure that what I have learned will give me the confidence to support my children in the future in what I believe will become an essential skill.

This was a fun project to complete. The videos by Matt are easy to understand and follow. It's interesting using AI and learning how tricky wording can be to prompt the AI to do what you want. The possibilities are endless. I am looking forward to learning more on how to incorporate AI in future projects.

I completed a basic module of coding at university a number of years ago which I enjoyed yet I fully didn't understand it and how all the elements of coding languages interacted with each other. Now having dipped my toe back into coding with SheCodes, I have found exactly what I am looking for. Step-by-step videos which explain each topic with a short challenge using this knowledge, building your knowledge gradually. You have all the lessons to refer back to, the Slack community and also SheCodes Athena AI to assist you whenever you need it. Although at times it was challenging, it enabled me to go back, re-try and check my code and it's the best feeling when it loads and works which you have solved yourself! I really enjoyed creating the final project and definitely keen to look into coding further. Thank you Matt for all your lessons and the SheCodes team!
I really enjoyed taking the course. Learning to code has been on my bucket list for years, on top of being useful for my job as CRM freelancer; however, I was never sure if it was for me or not, and I kept delaying the starting day. I found SheCodes by chance and decided to take the Basic workshop. The course is well-structured, the videos are clear and well-explained, all followed by a project to practice what you just learned. I totally recommend this to anybody who wants to try coding, just keep in mind that you will need time and to study!
As an absolute newbie to coding, I found Shecodes basics to be very easy to follow and learn. The past week has been quite tough for me as I could not give my full time to coding. As the course has become more challenging with advanced topics, making coding more complex. This course was just what I needed to dip my toes in! After being a product designer for about 5 years, I never really got why I should stop at Figma. I always wanted to take it a step further. But this course breaks things down in such a chill way, with great examples and videos. Can't wait to see what's coming next!
