The amount of detail and information that goes into these videos is astounding! I can not wait to continue growing with SheCodes to finally allow me to add this as a service to the business I wish to start up! I was confused at times but never gave up and now here I am!
I was impressed with the quality of educational material. There are videos to watch, support via Slack, and an AI bot. I learned far more in three weeks than I thought I could.
This basic course in coding has definitely taken me out of my comfort zone, but it has also taught me how coding brings together creativity and logic. The course is extremely well organised and easy to follow. Materials and videos are very well designed and account for specificities of online, adult and modern learning where attention span is unfortunately now what it's used to be. Time permitting I'd love to continue this journey as I have enjoyed the course enormously!
Really good interactive no pressure learning. The videos can be sped up and it is concise information and in small enough steps to complete the lessons with understanding, with enough information to make quick progress!
SheCodes tutorials have been insightful. The online learning videos provide you with enough information to get you started and get your critical thinking skills active. I come from a sales process background where the steps are straight forward and simple. Learning to code really opens up the mind where you have to think more in depth, literal step by step. I'm looking forward to using my new coding skills and implementing it in my work life.

I was totally new to coding and it´s been a challenge at times to understand some of the things Matt has been asking me to do! But it´s also been a lot of fun and it´s so rewarding to see my finished project. I´ve definitely caught the coding bug, and will be looking for new challenges to hone my skills. SheCodes Plus was so fun! I was so stoked to have created my very own live website! There were a couple times where I didn't understand the JavaScript, but rewatching the videos helped so much! Matt really explains the JavaScript thought process so well & he's not super technical with his explanation so anyone can understand him. I like how he mentions the common mistakes & he vocalizes his thought process even when the coding goes wrong - it reassuring. 😅 hehe. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Plus, but I still feel like there is plenty more to learn! Can't wait for the next workshop! - Happy Coder 😁
I loved taking this course! It is the right amount of simplicity, challenging and fun!!! The videos are well thought out for you to understand just about everything and get you thinking critically on how to do some lessons. Slack is very helpful for referencing questions from other students. Knowing you will receive help from staff within 2 days is also very comforting. You are not alone on your coding journey.

Coming from my background as a musician, coding feels both unfamiliar and also similar to learning a new language, like French or music. Even if it all seems new at first, elements become more familiar with use. The lesson videos move quickly but they're packed with information and you can always go back to review.

This was an excellent course that was chocked full of really easy to understand modules. As someone who knew nothing about coding before starting this, I really appreciated the style of the videos, the online support, and the opportunity to come away with solid coding knowledge. Matt's passion for what he does shines through and really helps to get you excited about coding, while also making you feel like it's not rocket science and there are very logical steps to achieving the type of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc that you want.
SheCodes gave me the confidence in coding that I needed to feel comfortable enough to venture into web design options for my current Communications/Marketing/PR job for a nonprofit. I have been looking for a long time a way to try to learn more and more about programming. I tried websites, books, youtube videos, anything I could get my hands on, but I couldn't find a more practical method with which I could not only learn more but also enjoy myself while learning. When I signed up for the Shecodes course, I enjoyed from the first video to the last. It has been an incredible experience, that I have enjoyed a lot and that has not only taught me more about HTML, CSS and JAVA but has left me wanting to continue learning on this site!

I have really enjoyed creting this project. I had a few bumps in the road which meant I had to restart but the videos make it very easy to retrace your steps and I feel like I also learnt alot abotu the process through doing this. I've been wanting to learn to code for a while now but haven't known where to start. I found SheCodes and joined during a promotion period. Loved the videos and the projects that were assigned. I felt like the material was explained really well and I appreciated having deadlines to really push me forward.

Very doable for someone who walked into this with absolutely no previous coding experience. The instructional videos are short and to the point, so absorbing and understanding the material is easier! Wow, I cannot believe I have completed the full Max curriculum! I have learnt so much since starting and can now create webpages and webapps with different coding languages and tools. I have to thank Matt Delac as his videos, challenges and homework have guided me to this point. It has been very fun (and hard at some points). I cannot recommend this course enough and look forward to a future with all this knowledge under my belt!

I like the way the course is structured. It helps me as a PhD student and a working professional that I can watch the assignments/videos flexibly, yet there are still deadlines to stay on track. I'm having a lot of fun!🥰
I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid £1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost £500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.
I started this course knowing absolutely nothing about coding and finished this short course with a lot of knowledge about what coding is and even could be. I find myself thinking how certain websites were coded and how I would go about it myself. Although it was a lot of information, Matt did a great job at teaching clearly, having the videos to refer back too was a great help too.
I've taken multiple courses online trying to learn how to code. SheCodes is by far the best with the most interactive projects and well-explained videos. I highly would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn coding.
I was a bit worried about starting this workshop as I didn't have any knowledge in advance. The lessons were very well explained and it was not as difficult as I expected at all. Most lessons have challenges after the videos, really enjoyed thinking about them and finding the solutions. I learned lots of new things and would recommend to anyone who thinks about starting this course 🙂
Very pleasant workshop, I could barely feel the time passing by while I was watching the videos and doing my projects during the weeks. Very good to see the improvement in styling and the responsiveness of my web site during the weeks.

As a complete beginner, this course was really easy to understand and follow. The course builds on the knowledge learned from each lesson step by step. I like that it is a mixture of learning videos and tasks, this ensures you have to implement what you have learned in a practical way too. Great that you can do it in your own time and ask for extensions if you cannot complete the workshop in the given week assigned. Will look at the other course and see how to expand my knowledge further.
Since I started this course, I have gained so much knowledge and skills that I feel comfortable to continue working on my portfolio after I finish all the courses. I found learning React challenging, however having the opportunity to code whilst listening/watching the videos allows for room to understand the concepts and recreate them. I have grown so much from not knowing anything about coding, finding it intimidation to actively looking at options to kick start a my career!
The hardest part was actually finding the time to complete the course as I was working full-time. The course itself is informative and Matt really explains everything in detail and provides examples in the videos. I liked the fact that if you were stuck on a challenge you can ask a member of the SheCodes team on 'Slack' and they will help you out with any technical question you have.
I didn't think it was probable for me to learn how to code but as I watch the thorough videos on she codes; It taught me to let go of my limitations and believe.
I appreciate how the videos took us through Matt's thought process of how to build a website. His steps were easy to follow.

After trying so many frontend bootcamps and watching so many youtube videos, I believe that SheCodes has been the best. The instructor explains the concepts so well that in less than in a week you can do a lot. SheCodes 100% definitely is the best coding workshop out there! Before starting SheCodes basics I thought I would feel discouraged or disinterested after the first week but it was completely the opposite. Throughout the course I was engaged and motivated to challenge myself and complete the tasks. The challenges and videos made coding feel so much more easier and it helped me stay on track. One thing I loved about the workshop is that I could go back to any lesson which I didn't fully understand and work on the challenges at any time of the day which is extremely useful for people who are busy. I've learnt so much from Matt and can't wait to begin SheCodes Max! 😇
I really enjoyed this workshop. I have a learning disability and haven't been in school in years, so I was nervous I would have difficulty, however it was pretty simple and straight forward. I actually had a ton of fun creating the last project, even so that I finished super early and tried to add in extra things that were taught, and things I googled to figure out. It was really fun! I did have issues with how the videos would teach us one thing, but then the work you needed to submit asked you to do something that wasn't even taught to you yet. I also didn't quite understand why an entire workshop for teaching women to code is taught by a man. A woman instructor would be better, though I understand Matt is the creator and therefor he teaches it all. I would really like to continue with the other workshops, however they are unfortunately not something I can afford.

Javascript is quiet challenging but going through the videos, pausing when there is a need to and taking a break when necessary is highly advised. I enjoyed building this weather app so much and would recommend people to start coding through SheCodes.

Just finished my Basics add-on project. It was fun creating another page. Learned how to create grid layouts and changing the theme of a page using JS. Nice way to practice more of your css and html as well. I liked how we made the project together step by step per lesson. Saved me from going back and watching the videos for the final project over again.
Matt has made each lesson very engaging and broken each session down in bitesize videos which has made me feel more confident building a website. Thank you for all the lessons.

I enjoyed every minute of the SheCodes Basics workshop! I love Matt's teaching style. I learned while having fun and even laughing sometimes. I loved that there are challenges after most of the teaching videos. This is the best teaching style for me. You implement what you learn. I also like that it is self-paced although there is a deadline for submitting the weekly homeworks and the final project. This is good for me too because I need to be able to learn on my own time but I also need that little push to stay on track. Can't wait to start with the SheCodes Plus workshop!
It was an amazing experience having my first workshop with SheCodes! I loved every step in the process and enjoyed seeing the outcome improve every time I learned and applied a new skill. The gradual buildup of knowledge, the bits of challenges in most lessons, and the tips provided in the solution videos as well as in the snippets all helped me maintain what I learned from the lessons, practice on it, and even expand it. Matt is a great tutor! he never misses mentioning the tips and tricks on what to pay attention to when it comes to the most common mistakes. He also makes sure to always teach you how to search for info yourself and the tools you can use to experiment with new approaches. I also feel grateful for the fact that SheCodes allowed me to extend my deadlines a couple of times! I cannot believe that I learned all that in this short time! I work full time, my brain isn't always 'online' after a long day, but the videos were easy to follow and good references for when I was struggling with something. I didn't know if I was going to be good at coding or even enjoy it, but after this first course I feel prepped and excited for the next one!
