Very easy to understand. I love that I was given assistance when all else failed and even when doing the final project Matt's videos really made a world of difference.
It was a challenging couple of weeks working on this certification but it was totally worth it to gain more knowledge and other techniques to coding. Matt is a great tutor and the tutorial videos are just as great.
React was very difficult for me to get my head around. Having pre-recorded videos I could go back to at any time really helped my learning!

I've just completed the Python Basics course, which I liked but didnβt love. The instructional videos with Matt were definitely educational, and I learned a lot of theory. However, I felt the course lacked practical exercises, which I believe is the most important aspect of coding. Some videos included homework that took only a few minutes, while others had no practice at all. As an absolute beginner, I managed to get through the course by copying Matt (and leaning on AI), but I donβt feel confident applying these skills in the real world.
I used to think AI is over one's head ,but when i watched videos and followed instructions i then realized that its not how i thought , with the help of Matt
This is such a great course, which has taught me so much over the past 3 weeks. I would recommend this course to everyone! Matt is a great tutor and having the videos means you can refer back to them when necessary. Also, Slack is such a super resource and you can find the answer to most questions on there.
I enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop. Being able to learn at a pace that suits my learning pace has been amazing. The videos are helpful and easy to understand and the challenges are beginner friendly.

It was extremely exciting learning how to work with API. I have to thank Matt for making the videos easy to follow and the information so digestible. Even though there were challenging moments, the feeling of satisfaction at fixing the errors in my code and having my project run smoothly far outweighs the moments of frustration.

It's been an amazing journey learning with Shecodes despite taking a long break in between due to busy work schedules, the learning videos are very helpful for revision and catch ups. Also, Matt is doing a great job with the tutoring, for someone like me coming from an accounting background and with zero coding experience, I can now boast that I have a great insight into the world of coding.
The videos made everything so clear and easy to understand. The challenges were tough, but I learned a lot and feel great about what Iβve achieved. Iβm really happy with the results! I also challenged myself by using the SheCodes API, even though this method wasnβt explained in the videos. It was a fun and educational extra challenge!
Enjoyable workshop! I studied Bootstrap in greater depth and learned how to import it into my project. I discovered how to host a multi-page website using GitHub and Netlify. I learned how to build a responsive navigation bar using a hamburger button menu to toggle between pages. For this specific project, I explored more utility CSS classes and responsive techniques. I also learned how to make my projects responsive using Bootstrap, as well as without it, using only vanilla CSS, HTML, and media queries. I focused intensely on CSS grids, responsive CSS grids, HTML tables, CSS filters, CSS Hero, and how to use HTML embeds. I learned how to embed parts of other websites into my personal website, such as YouTube videos, Instagram posts and Google Maps. Additionally, I learned how to use the console to view my website on different devices, ensuring it was successfully responsive. I love spoken word, so I included a poem in this project. I hope you like it! I had a great time working on this one.
SheCodes has taught me so much about coding while giving me the flexibility of working at my own pace. With my busy schedule it can be difficult to find time, stop and pick back up where you left off. Matt's instructions have always been easy to follow and the videos flow cohesively from one topic to another so I never feel lost. Thank you Shecodes for preparing down this new career path!
I love the coding workshop, it is so much fun. Sometimes it gets really difficult, but the videos are great and help you step by step building your code and design a successful project. I have learned so much in the last few weeks.
Lots of information in SheCodes Next, but all of it very useful! I think I will be coming back to these videos a lot as I work on keeping my portfolio up to date and apply for jobs.
This was a great course. It was easy to follow along with the videos and I really felt I was learning a lot throughout. I definitely need to keep working on my skills but this was a nice foundation to have. I would definitely recommend this course to others who are interested in becoming Software Engineers or are just interested in learning about the topic.

I just want to share a quick note and let you know that the instructor along with his team really do a great job. I'm glad I decided to join SheCodes as I am enjoying coding. SheCodes Plus was definitely harder than Basics but I expected as much! This one really challenged me and I'm even more motivated to go back and rewatch the videos again and again so that I can really master all of the new concepts I learned. I have a really good experience with She code. The fact that they teaches you everything and you can review the videos as many times as you want to, was a real deal for me. Personally it wasn't a smooth ride because i had to tackle school work, as i am a student and the workshop at the same time but the extension of time made it easier for me. I really hope this was the beginning of great opportunities for me and other ladies who wants to venture into tech.

I'm grateful to have been a part of the SheCodes Plus workshop, after coming from the SheCodes Basics, I felt a bit more equipped and motivated to complete my certification on time(even though I had to change my start date twice,hehe, I still managed to push through on time). Python is such a useful language to know. I've always really enjoyed learning from Matt and how he has SheCodes set up with videos and challenges. I wish more had been explained in certain areas. After exclaiming that scope and functions are one of the hardest concepts, I feel like it wasn't explained super thoroughly.

I have gained a lot of knowledge through this workshop. I was just a beginner with laptop who was afraid of making it through all the home works and projects before 3 weeks but now I am thinking I would be great at this with some hours of commitment daily. I also liked how short and concise the videos are.
This was a challenging course however we pushed through. The videos are digestible and easy to understand, also the option to play at a speed suitable for you is a great option for us who are new in this " tech" industry. I have created a website for my business and made it responsive.
Ohhh wauuuu, this is soo challenging. One moment i feel like i have got is all in the next, i am back to the videos to double check and recheck where i am missing it. If anything, i have become more attentive to the quality of my work. This is challenging yet thrilling and exciting.

The AI add-on was a very fun and informative experience. I have no prior experience in AI and was able to follow along relatively easily to the videos and understand what Matt was explaining.
This course was a little bit harder than the others. But I persisted and so happy I accomplished learning a new skill. Family responsibilities pushed back my learning timeline but because the videos were saved, I was able to rewatch as many times as I want to make the information stick. I learned that consistency and practice will make you a better coder.

Fun and creative, I didn't feel like I was studying for a certificate. You learn so much in short and concise videos that go straight to the point. The time I spent learning was my "relaxing" time after a long day at work. Everyday I looked forward to the time I would get home after work and get to do what I enjoyed. This workshop is time well spent, you come out of it with a certificate and a lot smarter than you went in. What's not to like?

I have made it this far (pheww!). React challenged my coding skills I have learned thus far. Matt was able to walk me through each step of building the React Weather app. There were some hiccups along the way with the API information due to unexpected changes that could have been included in the learning videos. I relied on getting help from Slack and voila!
The challenges were actually challenging which isn't always the case with these courses and I loved it. You're not simply repeating, you have to think about what you want to achieve and how to get there so the knowledge will stick much better.
