I loved the flexibility of this course. Being able to set my own schedule and work at my own pace was one of the reasons I wanted to get into coding in the first place. Mixing art & technical skills was another. So far, I'm absolutely loving what this new career path is giving me--freedom to work wherever, whenever I want, and purpose/drive that is extremely fulfilling for my brain. I'm extremely happy/proud of what I've accomplished so far; Matt's videos are very easy to follow/learn from, and I can't wait to see what's next!

What a great challenge this course is! It's definitely a lot to take in but the lessons and exercises are set out in a way that help you understand each new concept before moving on to the next. The team are amazing at responding promptly to queries on Slack - an invaluable resource. As Matt keeps saying in the videos "this is powerful stuff"! It is certainly amazing to discover how much can be done with just a few lines of code. Feels like magic! Thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to the next stage (might take a wee break first, though!).

What an adventure it has been learning from SheCodes! I could not believe how many skills I learned in a rather short period of time. Each assignment creates a space to practice what we learned in the videos. I loved how I was able to ask questions and connect with classmates in a separate service. It was great to have some extra support or be able to ask a question if I was feeling confused. With having many people, from many countries to talk and learn from, there was always someone or something that helped me understand our lessons deeper. I am grateful that each lesson is a video, which can be rewatched and paused as well as the Caption option since I have impaired hearing. I highly recommend these workshops to anyone who is interested in coding and wants to explore this digital side of creativity.

I have always wanted to get into coding but didn't know where to start or what direction to go in. The SheCodes workshop gave me a starting point. This was a great course to complete to dip your feet into front end development. The videos were easy to follow along with and I liked the mini challenges along the way that helped me cement my learnings. I would recommend this course to friends and family and it felt so great to build my very first landing page!!
At first I was pretty unsure if I could manage this. But with Matt's comprehensive tutorials (and multiple rewinds of the videos) I've managed to build a website from scratch. In the end I didnt have to look up everything, which showed me that I had indeed improved and retained some knowledge. Highly recommended.
Great 3 week short course, I've learn't so much, and I'm very happy with what I have achieved. Matt is great explaining and I love that I can replay the videos and do the tasks at my own pace. Also, I enjoyed the actual explaining tips on how to view and understand how its build in order to fix bugs. Now it's time to keep on practising :) Thank you!
SheCodes was an amazing experience for me! The videos and assignments were straightforward and fun to do. I definitely feel more confident about my coding skills and know that my newly acquired skills will help me advance my career.
This workshop is harder than the Basics workshop because there is a lot more to learn. I do not recommend binging the videos for this workshop in one day because the challenges and homework are more time-consuming and more difficult to complete. I advise taking notes and for videos that do not include challenges, I recommend doing the example shown in the video alongside Matt.
I recommend the course to all new people in the IT world. Videos are helpful, easy to understand for everyone. I am grateful to you, Matt and the all group!

I started this course because i was on furlough and wanted to take the opportunity to learn something new and practical. I was nervous to start coding, but SheCodes was the perfect way to do it. Good instructional videos that are perfect for beginners and are in a format that allows you to work at your own pace. I had prevously seen some complaints about instructors' referral to online forums, but that is standard practice and also very useful so I wouldn't let that deter anyone. SheCodes basics is truly the basics, but I enjoyed it. Looking forward to moving on to SheCodes plus!

After nearly 10 years working in the digital/website industry, I had so much fun learning more about coding. Matt teaches the basics of HTML, CSS and JS through short videos and challenges - everything is clear, easy to understand and there's always Slack if you need help.
This course was great for dipping my toes into the waters to see if this might be a career I'd be interested in! The videos were not too in-depth, but very easy to follow and challenging enough that some critical thinking skills were required. This course has shown me that I might have what it takes to go into full-stack development!

The final project really pushed my limits and I found myself having some much fun exploring new ways to code. I especially loved the bonus challenges as it really made me think for a creative way to code my project. There's not one way to do a certain thing and that's really awesome! I really appreciate the videos from the instructor as well, it helped in case I missed something or there was a more constrcutive way to code my idea.

I have finally completed the React course of SheCodes. It's a lot of hard work, but it's also very fun (personally I enjoyed the React course WAY more than the SheCodes Plus course)! I was motivated with seeing my progress in real-time, and as always Matt's instruction is remarkable and easy to understand and follow. The rest of the SheCodes team is very helpful in answering questions as well. I love the fact that we can review course materials and videos as many times as we want, and that we have lifetime access to our completed course workshops! I'm definitely going to review and refer back to what I learned in my React course throughout my ongoing coding journey. I have learned so, so much. With SheCodes, I was able to learn to code from literally no experience at all, all the way to being comfortable with JavaScript React. I encourage any and all women interested in learning how to code to learn with SheCodes. The Shecodes Basic Workshop was super fun and very thorough considering the actual lecture-videos with Matt are not that long. I did end up spending more than 5 hrs a week, but the challenges were engaging so I tended to end up playing around a lot.
This was a great way to solidify and reinforce the coding skills I already had - with some really clear instructional videos on how to develop the functionality you'd built on the previous task.
This was so much fun! There were some challenging lessons, but once you get over those humps, you feel so accomplished! I cannot believe I actually created a weather app!! Also, the training videos and lesson challenges were all easy to follow, and the structure of the course made it easy to follow. I am so proud of my project! Whoohooo! I did it!!, onto the next workshops! :)
After finishing SheCodes Plus, SheCodes React, and now SheCodes Responsive, I can't say enough about Matt and his SheCodes team! The videos are great and the team on Slack is super responsive to questions. I had tried to learn coding languages a few months ago using Youtube videos and CodePen alone, and I ended up giving up because it didn't give me any structure to learn. I found SheCodes through Instagram and signed up for the free webinar and after a short into to HTML and CSS, I realized it really wasn't all that complicated. This course has been great in teaching me how to problem solve and organize my code, and I discovered I actually really enjoy the critical thinking skills that coding requires. I will be going onto learn more JavaScript and possibly some other in demand coding skills in the marketing sector, as I now have another skill I enjoy to pair with my passion for marketing.
Great for having some structure and deadlines to hold yourself to while you learn how to code. The amount of material is also very achievable to get through when you are limited on extra time to commit to learning (approx. 5 hours / week compared to 10+ hours with other programs. I also like the nice mix of bite size videos and exercises to get hands on practice with the concepts.
My brother and boyfriend both had coding classes in school and I did not. Until this workshop, the path to understanding coding seemed unattainable. Through this workshop I had the opportunity to finally bring light into the darkness.Thanks for the great videos that now make coding no longer seem incomprehensible.
I always hesitated to even start coding but SheCodes motivated me to explore JSS, CS and HTML. I had fun watching and learning from Matt's videos and applying my knowledge right after.
This was a super fun course and since I am a visual learner, the videos worked really well for me. It has been great to understand a topic that felt so foreign to me before this course. SheCodes Basic course was incredibly fun yet challenging! I was worried that it would be too difficult, but Matt Delac's videos were very well-paced. Each video would come with an objective for you to learn, and we are to follow up by applying the knowledge through mini 'Challenges'. By the end of the Basics course, I found myself having fun and breezing through the Project! Thank you Matt for the guidance and for giving me the confidence to code independently!
I wasn't sure what to expect when doing this course. After completing it I can confidently say I', happy to have done this course. The lectures were clear and easy to follow along. However, as it got harder/ or more real-world specific I would have liked to get more in-depth teaching in the videos. Overall a great beginner coding course.
Having worked as a Visual Merchandiser for almost 18 years, retraining was daunting but SheCodes was the perfect place to start. Having never coded before or even been in an IT environment, I found SheCodes to be a great introduction to coding. Because I work as a graphic designer and never learned to code in school I often found it difficult to understand and talk to developers. I wanted to learn how to actually bring my designs to life on the web but had no clue where to start. Matt broke it down very easily and the videos allowed me the freedom to learn at my own pace. What started off as a bit of a daunting "work chore" turned into something really fun! I definitely want to continue to code now!

Before Joining SheCodes, I always wanted to learn about coding. In the past, I tried watching YouTube videos or participating in free coding courses online but they either too advance or lack the ability to keep me focused. SheCodes Basics really got me engaged in coding. This 3-week course really made it easy to understand coding , and was so fun!!! I'm excited to move on into the 2 advanced workshops. Once I'm finished, I hope that I can find a great career in coding where I can continue expanding my knowledge.
The videos are well done and rich in information. They cover pretty much of what you will need to succeed in the challenges but also animate you to roam the internet for additional information. If you have a problem - you can be sure that someone will help you.
Matt is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in this field. This class is a sprint to the finish. I loved that the videos are always there to re watch when you don't quite understand something.

I've been meaning to try a basics coding class for awhile and am so glad I found SheCodes. Matt's videos were bite-sized and very digestive, especially for beginners. I can't believe I'm able to make a Html/CSS landing page with Javascript from scratch after 3 weeks. The course was very informative and fun, a definite recommend!
I was second guessing in taking this workshop because I felt the need to actually be in a class with a real professor, but I took the chances and took the Basic Coding Workshop and I absolutely loved it! Matt is a really great professor! I really enjoyed his videos. If I didn't get a topic I would always go back and see the videos all over again.
