A fascinating and brilliantly put together course, I can't say enough good things about this sequence of courses. I am a fashion designer and I decided to change my career after getting introduced to Web Development via research and acquaintances. I find myself in an entry-level position in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript5. I have learned a lot of design patterns and principles that helped me to apply coding on my daily basis and it will be easier for me to get deeper into programming language after that. I am very glad that I got knowledge of coding languages through SheCodes. As a single mother of 2 small children, I cannot rave enough about this workshop. For quite some time I had been wanting to do something different as a career that could really allow me to provide for my daughters. I've always been interested in STEM and with my background as a Science and Math teacher...I was so excited when the most beautiful Godsend appeared on my YouTube recommendation about SheCodes. At first I thought "What is this?" then I clicked and it was amazing to think that in a short clip I found myself wanting to join. I worried that as a single mom juggling kids, homeschool, and play time that there would be NO WAY I could do this and not fall behind but after back and forth emails with Matt I was reassured that I COULD DO IT and that was the moment I took the plunge. I attended the free workshop and as an artsy attention to detail kind of person, watching Matt really allowed me to see myself doing this and becoming passionate about it. I set out on a mission to start and finish and made sure to do so throughout the course of these 3 weeks and I can honestly say that I am so proud of all the knowledge I've gained, so proud of myself and being able to say that I didn't allow anything to stop me from working hard, completing challenges and submitting homework on time. After 11 years of gap, I started updating my knowledge about computers by doing some free courses, I was frustrated as there is no particular way. For someone who doesn't have any Coding background, SheCodes really helped me understand the basics of Javascript. It is very straightforward, simplified and explained in layman's terms. It is my first online Workshop and I am very much satisfied with the teaching methods, contents and all the support from the Slack team members. Of course Mr Matt is a great teacher, the lessons are short and to the point which never make me feel bored or lose my interest. After three weeks Workshop, I have learnt lots of basic coding knowledge and am very happy at end got my certificate.

Another great adventure and next learning step with SheCodes is completed! In December 2020, I couldn't even imagine myself coding a responsive weather application and now I have it in front of me working well! This is a great course that I am really happy to have been a part of. At times it got tough for me to connect the dots and complete the assignments on time. It's a really enjoyable workshop to get a taste of what coding is about. But I do wish that there was some more feedback from the support team on homework and the final projects. They are very helpful when fixing mistakes, but I would have also been very useful to get some notes on how to improve my code. The workshop definitely taught me how much there is still to learn, so I'm excited to move forward!
It's amazing how much knowledge and new skills I acquired during this course. I was a little conscientious of studying while working full-time but this course has been the perfect option offering the choice to work at your own pace with deadlines to keep you motivated. SheCodes React was just as good as the first two courses. Very professional video lessons and I also like homework with deadlines. Like much else new, you often come across something you do not fully understand or it does not always succeed in solving the task, but if you have some issue then SheCodes team are always ready to help through Slack. I would especially thank JoΓ£o π. I want to know if he has time to sleep at all π because he always responds quickly to all of us. Personally, I would like SheCode React to be more in-depth and last longer or for one more course to be offered where you work on another project, so you can improve your skills.

I kept thinking I'd never be able to learn coding,not enough time,not find holistic course... and yet I managed to learn a lot already thanks to Matt,JoΓ£o and the supportive team of SheCodes Workshops. I had the best experience getting further insights into the #coding world. With the instruction of lessons, I was able to not only understand it, but begin to challenge myself and solving problems. I strongly recommend this to all women who want to have a real understanding of what really is Front-End Development and its frameworks. Truly can't wait to learn more and grow to be a front-end developer.
