This course is very well structured and perfect for women who want to learn coding on the side as the course is fully remote and you can work on it flexibly. The team is incredibly helpful and quick when you get stuck in a task. At some points during the course however, I was struggling to follow the logic of the code structure and to understand the warnings in the console, which was oftentimes frustrating as well as a lot of trial and error. But I guess that is normal in the process of learning to code.
If you love programming and you are confused in this path, SheCodes has provided a clear, clear and attractive path for you. This team goes forward with you step by step in this direction. With regular daily practice and timely submission of homework, I promise you will enjoy your dramatic progress in the first few weeks. I really enjoyed the very sincere cooperation of this team.

I come from a health care background looking to transition to the digital and technological world. I saw many opportunities for bootcamps, self-paced studies, and other coding resources but what I loved about SheCodes is that it gave me structure. I am well capable of learning on my own, but because I am so new to the industry, I didn't know where to even start. SheCodes Basic was an amazing experience. The lectures are very straightforward and filled with all the information you will need to succeed in completing all the lesson challenges and final project. The video lectures never got too long and monotonous, Matt did a great job organizing and blocking certain topics and following it up with a hands on challenge. He also gave the solutions after each challenge with the opportunity to resubmit and correct your work if necessary. Help was always available through the Slack chat and a team member always responded within a timely manner. This course was a great introduction to solidifying my future plans. I will be continuing this journey and diving in deeper! Thank you Matt and Team for helping me understand this whole new world of computer language!

This course is a coding advantage. The fact that they teach you a language that many companies are using gives a plus to your learning. Although you must have some prior knowledge, I felt that my knowledge increased a lot and it was not so complicated for me. In addition, the support of the team always helps you get ahead.
This workshop was hands on and I had so much fun learning how to code the final project. It was definitely challenging at times, but Matt and the team were very helpful and quick to answer any questions. I can't wait to begin the next workshop!
Going through the workshop was pretty intense, for all the good reasons. I usually paused and asked myself how hard it would have been learning all that Java Script without an instructor who broke everything into reasonable bits that one can easily absorb and process. Matt has been such a great instructor. The Slack technical team was amazing too. Well, Slack is where I learnt from other SheCoders that it is OK to feel stuck while working on a project, and that there is no shame at SheCodes if you cannot piece everything together at a given time. We are all learning and supportive of each other. Definitely, SheCodes is the place to be for everyone willing to learn coding. Here's to, as Matt says, happy coding.
As an absolute beginner, my experience with SheCodes was great. I was afraid I would not be able to do it, that I would find it too hard or get stuck or just bored of it, but it was the opposite. Thanks to a great team that is always ready to support you and Matt's very clear lessons, I managed to get through all classes and challenges and I actually understood how much I like coding. This is of course just the beginning, but I have found something challenging and fun that I really enjoy doing. I suggest to everybody who is interested in coding to give this a try and not be afraid: it is gonna be a rewarding experience.

As someone who has always had an interest in coding and tech but never knew how to get in (and having left school!) I really thought I would never be able to learn a skill such as this. After being recommended the course through a friend I couldn't be happier with the results so far! After completing the SheCodes Beginner course, the SheCodes Plus course really challenged me and pushed me outside my comfort zone. It was an incredible experience building my own weather app with the SheCodes team. It's natural to be skeptical about anything you buy on the internet. I've taken different courses before, and they ended up with disappointment. By recommendation of my manager, I've found SheCodes. I have learned amazing things, challenged by the weekly assignments and meeting the deadlines, and as a result, I've refreshed my memory on HTML, CSS, and Java. Before taking the workshop, I was able to do many things on my own, but the beauty of SheCodes is Matt explains every single thing with the reason behind them. In the end, you know which method you need to choose and why you are choosing it. I loved SheCodes and would recommend it to anyone. I had fun and enjoyed this workshop very much and I am excited to continue my journey. I had some experience in coding before this workshop so for now it wasn't as hard but now I know that there is so much more to learn and learn. This workshop was a great introduction to help me exploring the coding world. I am thinking of career switching and found out about SheCodes through Instagram. I love that the course is divided into separate parts and the deadlines definitely motivated me to stay on top of it. Matt did a great job explaining the components of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but also giving us a challenge to explore parts of that on our own. The SheCodes team is very responsive and helpful, which is a huge plus.
When I first began the workshop, I wasn't a stranger to coding but even when you are a computer science student and know the basics of coding, there are so much more that you can learn with SheCodes' workshops. I started this workshop with no background at all. It's amazing how much I learned in just three weeks. From week to week I got so much better. As a language teacher I know that learning a language requires lots of practice. Initially, I thought IT technology or programming was far beyond my dream. I badly wanted to learn coding but was not sure where and how to start. When I saw my brother coding, I used to get frustrated thinking that I was so laid back and unknowledgeable in the filed of IT development. But SheCodes helped me to dream again, to be able to say that "I can also do Coding". I love coding. Thank you Matt and the team β€οΈ.
I was admittedly a bit skeptical at first, but I'm now left pleasantly surprised! Matt's explanations of the basics have filled in the gaps in my prior studies, which I'm really happy about. He seems to know how to go into just the right amount of detail without going overboard. Attention to detail can even be felt in the UI/UX of the SheCodes site itself, which contributes to an effective learning environment. I've worked in other coding communities, but I've not felt as safe, relaxed, comfortable and motivated in learning to code as I do here, particularly thanks to the fact that it's not male dominated. I started this course as a complete beginner over the winter break since I had always been so curious about learning to code : at first, I was worried about whether I'll be able to complete this course and get my certificate, but I did it! We really did take baby steps in the beginning and Matt is a particularly good teacher :) It was challenging at times but I'm so grateful for all the knowledge and technical skills I've acquired during those 3 weeks (and for the support that I got from the SheCodes team when I was stuck). Overall, I'd say it was worth the price!

I had a great time going through the videos and building this App alongside Matt. This was a great workshop experience! Matt's lessons are fun and really demystify it all. The team on Slack are supportive and respond very quickly for all those tricky coding moments.
