SheCodes has been great for getting a taster of HTLM, CSS and JavaScript to see if I liked it. I liked that I could do it at my own pace and that there were challenges after each lesson which helped me to practice. I'd recommend the short course to anyone who's not sure what to expect or whether you'll like it as you learn enough to give you a taster and see if it's something you'd like to pursue further as you'll need to invest quite a bit of time and effort and money if you like what you see and consider it as a carrier change. This React workshop gained me so much knowledge that I thought wouldn't be possible. This is my third course with SheCodes. I am so happy to be part of the students who benefited a lot from the program.Matt is a wonderful instructor. The team of instructors are speedy at answering any questions and resolving any issues that you may run into also! I had a lot of fun building my final Dictionary project.

What a journey! That wasn't easy but that was always fun. The format is perfect: videos are short, every step is cut down easy-to-digest new information & regular interaction with the group & teachers (Slack/homework) really helps with accountability & progress. Coding is somewhat addictive and I already can't wait for the next workshop. Thank you Matt & team.
While I am excited and thankful for the final weather app project, I believe that the Week 04 and 05 modules should be retooled. There is much to learn about JavaScript and it feels as though those two weeks in particular for Plus are too dense and could easily be broken into two sections each. If SheCodes could also experiment with how they display lessons, this would be beneficial for those that learn in different ways. Showing VSCode constantly while building the code but not showing how facets like different JavaScript rules or CSS declarations flow into each other became confusing in some instances. There was also a discrepancy in recording volume between the weeks and even modules within each week so sometimes it was difficult to hear Matt's instructions. The Team that works on Slack to answer questions and give guidance continue to be informative and empathetic, to which I am grateful. A cool piece to build, the overall presentation and class flows could use some updating.

What a great course! I learned so much information throughout these videos. I am new to coding and I feel as if Matt was very explicit on what needed to be done and WHY it works/why you do it a specific way. I have been really pleased with my SheCodes journey so far. After completing SheCodes basic I knew I wanted to progress and learn more about coding and work towards a career change. I came across SheCodes one night just before bed as I searched for coding classes while laying in bed and got myself enrolled for the free coding class. After attending the free class, I enquired about the prices and was rather skeptical. I had so many questions racing through my head on whether I should commit myself to do this?, if it was gonna be worth it?, will I stay motivated to complete the package?(p.s. I was interested on the Pro package), why is it expensive do they do student prices?, despite all that I got in touch with the customer success officer and registered myself for the Pro package. The team is simply awesome. I wanted a class that is flexible, interactive, challenging and rewarding. Hands down, SheCodes is one of the most amazing decisions I have ever made for myself. The Basics Workshop did an excellent job of making it very easy to learn and practice what was learned real time, to set the student on the path of basic web development. I found the workshop fun and engaging. It has allowed me to get a better understanding of the terminology, concepts and tools used within my current position as a product owner and working alongside tech teams. SheCodes made what seemed to be so complex to me, quite the opposite thanks to Matts amazing detailed videos, and a great team from slack that helped with any questions throughout the course. I registered for the SheCodes Basics workshop just to get an understanding of front-end development. The course was super interesting! The way it's being taught throughout 3 weeks makes it very easy to keep up even if you have a full time job. The fact that for each section there are videos not only to teach you but also to show what the challenge is and to give a thorough explanation of the solution is extremely helpful! SheCodes Basics was the perfect entry-level coding course for me! I admit I started the course with doubt - "Will I be able to follow? Will this be easy enough for me - a complete beginner?" But after the first few lessons, I fell in love with coding, how creative it is and now I can say that I truly enjoy doing it. The course is well structured - I enjoyed 'challenges' after lessons (helps to cement the new knowledge) and the fact that after each 'challenge' we had an explanation video on how Matt would have completed it. Matt Delac is a great instructor - he gives clear instructions and a lot of tips on how to become a better coder throughout the course. The SheCodes team is very helpful and I enjoyed the SheCodes Slack community.
Never have I ever sit down for 3 hours straight just to study or learn something. Well I guess now I know what I really love to do. Matt Delac is so good at explaining everything. He teach us one by one, and he even show the solution after we submit our homework. Such a great guy with a great team. When I'm stuck and need help, the team they help us straight away. Past eight weeks in React Workshop have been my last with SheCodes, but not least. It was not easy sometimes, but once you get a grip on it, the whole new world will suddenly open. The lessons are well structured. As always, the whole team is here to help. It is definitely a great addition to the Basic, Plus and Responsive and I am proud to showcase my project in the future.
As a person who got Maths Phobia and almost zero knowledge of science subjects, I never thought that I could code. Thank you Matt for making coding super understandable and the kind help from SheCodes Team, I acquired some basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript:) The challenges after every lesson are very useful. It keeps the students on track and allows us to revise them immediately. I have lots of fun with coding and could never imagine that I am hooked after two weeks! Not sure how far I would go with this new hobby but will take the rest of the workshops for sure!

After finishing SheCodes Basic in December, I really enjoyed diving into an app environment and making it work. Because Basic was very easy for me, I underestimated the intensity of this course, but the team is super helpful and patient with every question you might have. I learnt a lot about JavaScript and although I normally work with Python, it was great to learn more JS. Before SheCodes I really struggled in connecting the dots in terms of front-end, back-end and full-stack but after every lecture you get this "aha moment". Even though I'm more a back-end person, it was super helpful for me build a first app from scratch. I'm looking forward to the next courses. βοΈπ₯°π»
Seeing my progress over the past few months has been so rewarding. This course really taught me about making a multiple page website that looks good on a laptop, tablet, and phone! The teaching method is top notch with each weeks into different lessons with challenges which makes learning easy and fun. Now coding has become a part of me.
