I've been learning frontend basics on HTML, CSS & Javascript. Really appreciate the efforts from SheCodes' teams for making such highly structured courses. Concepts are explained very clearly and I am now able to build my own projects (e.g. currently a page recording my learning journey of pilates) with interactive elements via Visual Studio Code.

I started my coding journey just 2 months ago and I can't believe I made it through all 4 courses. Finishing has a lot do to with the system SheCodes provides, like the fast and helpful responses from the team, the challenges, the homework with deadlines, the projects and a very enthusiastic Matt. Most of the time it felt like bob sliding, high speed through the curves, gravity pulling you from left to right and back again. Reaching the finish line and looking back, I just realize how much I learned during the past two month. It felt so good to be challenged and grow. I feel motivated to build my own apps now and very grateful to SheCodes.
I`ve just finished Basic Coding class, and I want to say: it`s amazing! I was afraid that it could be too difficult for me, I don`t understand anything or even it would be boring. But Matt is very talented teacher, the whole information was given to us in very interesting way, it was like a game for me, not boring classes! And the most inportant thing for me is that I really want to continue, develop and learn more and more, to dive deaply into this coding world. Thank you so much, Matt and SheCodes team!

It was way harder than the previous course, but I enjoyed the challenge of making every piece of the app work! I'm not so much into the design, but more the functionalities of it and I enjoyed learning about API integration - thank you, SheCodes team!
My experience with coding was limited to messing with MySpace almost 20 years ago but after going to the free coding class I felt confident that I would achieve more through SheCodes. The pace of the lessons is perfect for me and I love how more resources are linked if we wanted to dig even deeper. I'm excited to keep learning with Matt and the SheCodes team!
I had a lot of fun working through the different practice problems and seeing everything come together in the homework assignments at the end of each week. Every lesson builds upon the last in a neat, stepwise progression that makes learning feel like a bit of a challenge but not difficult. I appreciate how the answers aren't provided but that students are given the information they need to "Google it" and come to workable solutions on their own. Bonus? My daughters think I'm cool now :) That said: I encountered an issue when submitting my first week's homework assignment that has left me troubled. I replicated the provided example but, after review, I was notified that my homework was incomplete; when I checked to see what the problem could be, the link I had previously followed to the example opened a differently-formatted page. I went to Slack to ask if I would be required to reformat my homework despite my submission being a faithful representation of the original example and was answered with a request to post my question in another channel of slack because it was a "technical" problem; because the turnaround time for answers was slow (an as-advertised ~48hr) and I didn't want to wait (and I want to learn), I went ahead and reformatted the assignment. Still, I have two problems with this: 1. Assignments that require students to copy (nearly exactly) an example document should not be graded in comparison to example documents that did not exist at the time the assignment was completed. 2. A support team should provide support, not direct questions to different channels and then definitions of what "technical" means, even if it does mean something different (and so vague as to be meaningless) to them. I asked a question of the support team that pertained to a philosophical question, not a technical question: Considering that I submitted an assignment based upon an incompletely formatted example (that was available to me), would I be required (by the SheCodes team) to continue formatting my assignment to match an example that did not exist (to my eyes) until after I had submitted my assignment? When I indicated that my question was not technical in nature (I had no difficulties creating a document, coding a document to match the example available to me, or submitting a document), I was told that, essentially, all questions are technical questions and if I want an answer I should submit my questions to the proper channel. This is not a free course and it is alarming to me to be paying for support and receiving resistance, instead. Just an FYI. I am learning a lot, but I am someone who enjoys the Googling and searching and fiddling. If I were taking this course with the idea of getting (and receiving) much support from the support team, I'm not sure how that would be going.
SheCodes plus has been a great experience for me. From being a novice in coding to frontend development. I learnt a lot and although sometimes it felt overwhelming and confusing, the shecodes team was readily available to provide answers and explanations. Plus done and dusted, on to the next.
I am incredibly excited about the courses. Everything is great and affordable. Especially thanks to such responsiveness of the team members. Everyone can gets an answer to any question and help with solving any problem with amazing speed.
I am grateful for this amazing course. It was a challenge, but I had a lot of fun. Also, I want to thank Matt, who was a great teacher, and the SheCodes team for all their help and support.

In January of this year I graduated Springboard with a certification in UI/UX Design and landed my first job as a User Experience Designer. I was exposed to the basics of HTML and CSS at Springboard but didn't have a deep understanding of them. Working with developers on several projects revealed this skill gap for me so I began looking for a course that would make learning code fun and found SheCodes! I have learned so much in these 3 weeks and I am so excited to use the skills I have gained to make me a better designer and teammate. Thank you!

Building your own website from scratch was such a rewarding experience! I love that this workshop gives such a strong backbone for how to create a clean, SEO friendly, responsive, functional website, yet still gives student the flexibility to let their imaginations run wild and design something totally unique. I also love that the SheCodes team always remind us that there isn't just 'one right answer' for a solution - this gives the students flexibility and a natural learning ability.

I enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop. It allowed me to refresh my rusty knowledge of HTML & CSS, and I got to learn some basic javascript. It was paced well, with the curriculum broken up into small, digestible pieces. I am a full-time employee and very busy mom, so it was important for me to be able to complete a few lessons each night and still have the flexibility to extend assignment deadlines, if needed. SheCodes Responsive workshop is definitely one of my challenging, yet favorite one. I took a lot of time to finish this project, but at the same time, it was very interesting! Matthieu Delac's teaching skills, the tons of information to learn and practice he provides, to the guidance of the supporting team (shout out to João, Vlada, and Paul) have been incredible! It's a pleasure to see the final result and to know what I accomplished in the 5 weeks(creating my portfolio website with multiple pages that are responsive !) I've already enrolled in the React Course and am excited about the workshop! The SheCodes journey has elevated my desire to learn more, and practice my skills in real-life projects. Definitely would recommend this course!

In December 2021, with no knowledge whatsoever of coding, I applied to the SheCodes Workshop Foundation and was selected in January to begin learning coding with SheCodes. Today, 7 months down the line, I, Juliet Nnaji, am now a Front-end Developer who is proficient in interpreting designs and building functional, responsive, and user-friendly websites; and also familiar with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, and React. I can not say thank you enough to Matt and the SheCodes team for taking a chance on me.

It was very interesting and awesome 8 week cource. It was may be a little bit complicated for beginner in some chellanges but solved these chellanges was very useful and interesting. It`s a fantastic course which I highly recommend anyone who is looking for the way into coding. The tasks are definitely challenging, at least they are for me. I have spent several hours a day learning again and again to understand properly, not just to catch the general idea. Powerful, however it`s worth doing. The team of specialists are always ready to support if you get stuck. Deadlines - keep you "alert", so as not to fall behind. What else - it`s vital to practice evry single moment, look for alternative decisions, do additional research. It`s not a game, it`s tough and strong course requiring your full attention to embrace this knowledge. I`m greatful and a bit tired but eager to continue.

Honestly , once I desired to submit my last project I was a bit sad and thinking about It is over now .💔😪😞 because I may not do any SheCodes challenge anymore .💔💔😟 No more asking questions on Slack.💔🙁 And without a doubt I have this sense that SheCodes had have become a part of me and I can not believe this is over 💔 So I will keep all the good memories that I have collected here .❤❤❤❤❤ SheCodes Team and dear Matt please don`t forget me .😥 I had a really great time during my 10 month studying with you guys and of course with all of my colleges too.
