These past few weeks have been very demanding but extremely interesting as coding became increasingly complex. Whenever I thought I already knew a subject, or at least understood its logic, the next lesson would break my confidence and increase my frustation. However, when you see your project developing and you are the one responsible for it, all the previous stress no longer make sense. It's a journey, not a sprint, so be patient with yourself, even if it doesn't seem like it, we are evolving step by step. Sending good vibes to the newly coders and my best to all souls (students and SheCodes team) on Slack who are always available to help us. This experience was well worth it. To be continued...
This has been an interesting 3 weeks of trial and error, learning and challenging myself even outside of the SheCodes platform. Everything is explained in layman terms to better understand what each code does and how it can be implemented into what one is trying to build. One thing i like about the SheCodes community is how fast they respond once you send a message in need of assistance. Not only do the technical team respond, but the other ladies in the program also respond if they are able to assist. I would definitely recommend to someone who wants to learn how to code. Definitely excited to learn more and build more projects.
I've really enjoyed the Basics SheCodes course. The recorded sessions are clear and easy to follow. The challenges and homework assignments are both challenging and fun! I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone who is curious about coding and works in a role that has touch points with product/tech teams!

During the three-week coding course, I experienced numerous "aha" moments as I grasped coding intricacies. From variables and JAVA script to HTML and CSS, each topic built upon the last, boosting my confidence. The course's emphasis on practical application was invaluable. I have zero background in the tech industry but after seeing the wonderful work life balance it has offered my husband, I became interested. I was scared to switch from something I am just getting comfortable with (nursing) and going to the complete polar opposite end. It really is like learning a new language but Matt and his SheCodes team have done a wonderful job of fitting it into bite sized pieces and offering enough opportunities to practice that you will in fact start speaking the language! It's a lot of fun. The best way I can describe it is being in an art class that asks you to replicate, or create, a piece of art with whatever means you know to get to it and its a puzzle! No one code is the same but the end product is very similar.

I never thought coding or just creating a landing page would be something I could learn and do!!! I am actually still in disbelief after creating my own landing page (I think my personal creativity let me down though lol). I have also heard that JavaScript is so complex before learning how to code, and honestly I really understand the basics. Matt is such a great teacher and the SheCodes team as well as Athena (SheCodes' AI assistant) are always a great extra help. I 100% recommend this workshop to beginners especially those who are doubting they could ever learn how to code.

I've never been so motivated to learn a skill before, and it's due to the video tutorials and tasks we have weekly, that helps me keep track of my progress and form discipline with my coding. First Time learning how to code and I cant believe how far i've come. Matt explains each subject in such a way that a complete beginner with zero Coding experience can understand. I recommend this course to anyone interested in learning how to code. I hope that as I continue my journey with SheCodes Max and I am able to gain insight and knowledge on how to become a software engineer. I already feel a step closer to achieving this dream. this was challenging but with the help of She-Codes team I was able understand the work I have to put on and I hope in a few months I will be able to find myself a job that suits my craft.
This add-on is a nice little two-week addition to the Plus curriculum. I am encouraged to solidify my knowledge of concepts from earlier lessons and challenged to learn just a little bit more than before. I love that we can see Matt making small mistakes during the lessons; it shows us we are not alone in making those little errors, and that we can do hard things! As always, big thanks to both Matt and the rest of the SheCodes team. I am still having the best time learning to code π
