I was looking to learn how to code for awhile but didn't know where to even begin. SheCodes gave me an into coding, the tools to type my own code, and was always there when I got frustrated. I'm thankful for all the support from the staff as well as knowing woman like me were also learning this skill right along side me as well. If you want to start at some point, I learned that now is a good time as any.
SheCodes has a well-organized format with a great support system. I did find myself using Slack a lot so that's a really good tool for a first-time coder. It's very easy to learn and the challenges help with information retention.
Highly recommend SheCodes! I'm totally new to coding and the course teach me step by step, with very clear guidelines and great support on Slack. I found great achievement from the basic course and have decided to move to the advanced one!

After taking the SheCodes Introduction Workshop, I was hooked on the easy to follow videos, clear instructions, and friendly supporting staff. I've taken several intro HTML/CSS/JavaScript classes before but nothing has clicked like Matt's teaching style and his TA's helpful suggestions. I look forward to continuing my coding practice using the solid foundation I gained from SheCodes!
This is a really well built course for beginners - good structure and explanation, nicely sized learning block, good support via Slack.

My introduction to coding was so smooth thanks to SheCodes. The course is very well organized, the lessons are simple to understand and there is also a great support team. I thought it would be hard for someone without an engineering degree but it's not. I'm glad I decided to learn programming, because it opens the door to more job opportunities.

*addiction alert*When you start coding with the support of Matt and the crew, it's hard to stop! Indeed it's a really funny and colorful coding project, with a lot of userful indications about auxiliary tools and websites. Also the Slack app where everybody's connected is a good way to get userful infos through other users experience.

SheCodes React was really challenging and really rewarding. I feel like I've learned very valuable skills and am looking forward to continuing to learn more and work on other projects to hopefully make a career change. I found the modules easy to follow, and have enjoyed being able to put what I've been learning into practise. There's great support available too when doing challenges if you get stuck.
I had tried to learn coding from books and youtube videos and it simply didn't work. The videos and challenges make it easy to understand the concepts while testing your knowledge. The homework and final project were exciting as well. The support from instructors and other women in the class made the learning experience that much more encouraging and enjoyable.
I only started coding a month ago when I took the SheCodes intro course. SheCodes Plus was more challenging and rewarding. I am surprised at how quickly was able to learn this new skill. Matt's videos were very helpful and easy to understand. Whenever I hit a bump in the road there was a great community of support to help along the way. By the end of the course, you create a functional weather app using live data.

This was such an amazing experience! I'm not just saying that either, I started off being excited about learning how to code and it ended on such a high note that I what to continue the experience and learn more. It gets frustrating when you can't figure out what's wrong with your code but there's such a strong and healthy supportive community to guide you, and when you finally fix the bug then its the best feeling. I really want to encourage everyone to at least try it out, it truly is an awesome experience.

Great instruction with logical lessons that build your skills slowly. I got a lot out of it in only 3 weeks and always felt supported by the staff and fellow students. I wish I could easily refer back to some of the material, especially when doing the challenges, but overall it's a great beginner course. Highly recommended!
I really enjoyed SheCodes Plus! The lessons are clear and easy to understand, and the support offered on Slack really makes this program stand out. I had so much fun building the weather app, and I can't wait to continue expanding my skills in coding!
When I first saw some examples of the end project for sheCodes plus I didn't think I'd ever be able to make something that sophisticated. But by about week 6 I had become so obsessed with improving my app that I ended up making something even more sophisticated than the requirements for the course and I'm so proud of it. I really feel like the course is really good for encouraging you to stretch yourself and learn code for yourself. I wouldn't have been able to fix some of my bugs without João from the slack support chat so shout out to him as well.
I have loved this course so much. It has given me so much inspiration for the future and I have had so much fun. Its has pushed me to learn beyond the course but has provided the support I have needed to give me the confidence to explore new things.
As someone with no previous contact with code, learning with SheCodes is almost easy. It's still complicated but you have support if you need , the lessons are short and well explained. Excited to start the React course.
I found the team at SheCodes so supportive and understanding. I started in May with no experience and have just secured a place on a Masters course starting this September! The Shecodes workshop has been a great and surprising experience. Classes are organized so that it's possible to learn in a consistent and evolutionary way. I must say that when I started to do this course, I did not expect that I will willingly spend night hours after work watching lessons and learning to code. But I did. I enjoyed every lesson with challenges and when I was working or doing anything else, I was thinking about what will I learn today and was so excited to continue. Matt shows and explains everything so simply, which made this course even more thrilling. And thanks to technical support and other students that are willing to help if you find yourself stuck with your code, you avoid feeling frustrated or bored! In just those 3 weeks (counting 2 as the third was work on the final project) you learn how to do basic webpage! It is just amazing! I will undoubtedly continue with other SheCodes courses.

I knew nothing about coding prior to registering on the course and have found it to be a really enjoyable experience and I am keen to keep learning! I like how Matt explains the lessons in a simple and digestible manner. What I also like is that I can go and take the lessons in my own pace and the technical support in Slack is also quick to reply whenever I have questions.

I accidentally stumbled upon SheCodes and decided to give it a try. Web design and coding was always something interesting for me, however I never was able to dedicate the time. SheCodes introductory workshop is a well-designed and well-taught course with constant support, encouragement and a great community of inspiring women. Thankful for the newly acquired skills and for the many introductions to like minded fellow students!
I really enjoyed developing the project. The videos are well designed to guide you through the steps and reach your goal of having an app programmed just by you. In addition you have great support via the slack chat and questions will be solved in a timely and comprehensive way!
SheCodes+ is a definite must after doing the workshop! In Plus, a lot of new additional knowledge on HTML, CSS and JS has been shared. The new knowledge is used in building a weatherApp and this was a true learning experience. Now that my app is finished, I am even more excited to do more coding and start to build more apps/sites. Fascinated by the use of API's and excited to continue to practice and grow my coding knowledge and skills and ready to start React! Also shout out to Joao! When I had a question Joao was always there to give a suggestion and explanation if needed, great support.

I couldn't recommend this course enough! Matt was straight to the point and taught us exactly what we needed to know to grasp a basic foundation without taking up weeks of our time. I'm a hands-on fast learner, and other courses out there were a bit on the monotonous end for me. I have now taken both the first SheCodes workshop and the SheCodes Plus workshop and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed them. My SheCodes adventure ended today as I graduated from SheCodes React. I had a lot of fun during the past few months, and I learned a lot. I really loved learning and working with SheCodes from the first day! After completing the SheCodes Workshop I continued learning with SheCodes Plus and I have had sooo much fun! Before starting SheCodes I had never done anything related to coding and was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep up. SheCodes provides the perfect structure to learn coding and gives you the confidence to try out what you've learned. I really enjoyed working on the project and tapping my creativity. Seeing everything come together at the end is really gratifying! If you get stuck at any point you can always ask for help in the community and get support from your fellow coders and the lovely SheCodes Team. Definitely would recommend trying out SheCodes! It has even led to a change in career paths for me!
This workshop is a fun way to learn how to code or refresh your knowledge. I definitely recommend it to beginning programmers or programmers who want to refresh or rehearse their knowledge. SheCodes plus is a very good basis for entering the "programming world". For me these were a very fun 7 weeks. You work out the project on your own pace and as detailed as you want (of course everything working). What brings fun challenges. The SheCodes workshop is a great introduction to coding, learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript in an interactive, engaging and supportive way. I would highly recommend the workshop to anyone, especially if you are someone like me, who needs that little extra motivation provided by the weekly assignments. What an amazing journey! Like many of us, I started with the SheCodes workshop because, as a designer, I wanted to have some basic coding knowledge. I liked it so much that I wanted to learn more and went to SheCodes Plus where I felt I've learned so much and finished with a good understanding of coding language. So I decided to take the other step - React! - that I truly hope and believe that it will open a new door to a new career. I will not say that it was an easy path, but Matt is an amazing teacher and explains everything in a good and clear way. And he is supported with an amazing team that will not let you stay behind. I have to give a special thanks to João, for his patient and dedication to the project, he was always ready to help and clarify all my (many) doubts!

As someone who isn't the academic type and never really did well in school, I would really highly recommend this course. Matt explains everything very clearly and gives very informative and easy to understand tutorials. The course runs at a very comfortable pace with frequent challenges that test your knowledge and can be done in your spare time. At times I was tasked with finding things out for myself instead of having all the answers handed to me from the offset; I'd imagine this is what it's like actually coding outside of a "classroom" environment and it can be incredibly rewarding! However, It's also very helpful having the Slack group at hand in case there's a problem that Google can't solve. The support team are fantastic! If you're looking to get into coding this is the way to go. I'm surprised at how much I've accomplished in less than 3 weeks and can't wait to progress on to SheCodes Plus and beyond!

Having played with HTML coding when I was younger, I was surprised at how much I could remember. Being able to build on my knowledge further in order to learn new HTML skills, allowed me to become more proficient. Learning CSS and JavaScript from scratch was daunting, but I am incredibly proud of my achievement in just three weeks. I really enjoyed that the students are not just left with all the material, but we had ongoing live support at any time! I cannot wait to continue with the more advanced SheCodes courses!
I purchased some outdated books on HTML, CSS, and Javascript and almost lost my interest in learning to code. Then, I found SheCodes, and I am so glad I did! I love how supportive everyone is, and I really do believe anyone could learn to code using SheCodes.
I've always wanted to learn and understand coding languages but I thought it was out of my reach. This class is great for anyone who wants to understand the basic principles of HTML, CSS and Javascript. The team is there to support you and answer your questions along the way! I'm excited to take another class and dive more in depth into the coding world.
I absolutely recommend these workshops! It's been an exhilarating 3 weeks and I am astonished that I now understand how to build a page after such a short period of time and minimal experience. I appreciate being able to move at my own pace and the support throughout from the SheCodes staff has been wonderful. I've signed up for more and look forward to getting started!
I can't believe I built my weather app for the Final Project from scratch! SheCodes Plus covers some pretty complex topics but the bitesize course structure, resources and community support system means help is always at hand. The course also gives insights to some of the main industry tools and repositories which I will definitely be referring to (and hopefully contributing to!) in the future!
