This introductory workshop really helps understand the basis of html, css and javascript. You learn at your own pace (love that you can speed up training video and pause when needed). I felt engaged owing to the online slack support as well as challenges and homeworks. Also, challenges and homework are great, practice is key in coding to understand how all these languages work together and is needed to actually retain the info (at least for me^^) I loved the format, not too easy not too hard, just challenging enough to want to dig into it more :)!
The courses are setup brilliantly with testing challenges as well as projects. The supporting resources available as well as the team have been great.

This last workshop (React) was a tough one. But when you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot of fun. This has been a very challenging project. This is a great introduction to the world of coding, I had to get used to the disappointment of the code I wrote not always working and to asking for help. I wouldn't say that if I had to do it all over again I would be able to, without the help of tech support and Matt's videos. At the same time I have definitely learned a lot about APIs, Github, Sandbox, and everything else introduced in this workshop.

SheCodes has been an amazing experience. I was a little hesitant at first, as I learnt to code in a statistical software during my masters, but I unfortunately did not enjoy the experience. Iv always been passionate about learning to code as I find it challenging and interesting especially whilst working closely with developers. I just couldn't find the right course however, when heard about 'SheCodes' thought id give it a try. Enrolling was the best thing I did I have already learnt how to code using CSS, HTML, JavaScript and Editor which is great achievement for me. This part of the workshop was much more challenging and some lessons were even difficult to grasp but it was very well explained, I only had to watch the lesson again and practice to get the handle of it. I faced difficult tasks: to develop a weather application and a dictionary application in React.js. For me it was very interesting because the projects have practical application. I knew nothing about coding before the course. Now after finishing the course I have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript. I've had a lot fun during these three weeks. Having small challenges and weekly homework keeps you engaged throughout the weeks. The community and the support have been great and of course Matt's videos have been easy to follow along.

Started with SheCodes Basic and then took SheCodes Plus. SheCodes Plus was a huge step from the Basics and found myself frustrated at times, but the support from the SheCodes Team was always there. I learned so much from this course and would definitely recommend it. I look forward to practicing what I learned but I am so incredibly proud of what I achieved.

What I particularly like about the course is 'step-by-step' approach to teaching and mentoring. The course is split into lessons, each comes with amount of information just right to understand and use. A lot of scaffolding and support from the team really help to make new complex ideas easy to comprehend. Every new thing I was learning I put into practice right away while working on the course project. By the end of the course, I had created a working web app and it was even a little sad to finish the project and the course but I also have a great feeling of accomplishment. I would definitely recommend this course πβ¨
I really liked the course. At times it was difficult, but it helped to revise the lecture, or visit support chats. I didn't really enjoy working in codesandbox. Because constantly something buggy and incorrectly displayed when encoding. Working in Visual Studio is much more pleasant. Thank you very much for this learning opportunity! I am interested and I hope that in the future I will be able to apply this knowledge in practice.

I recently migrated to Australia from the US. I have zero experience with coding! I want to start a career in tech and I was referred to SheCodes from a colleague. This three week workshop has been challenging at times, but wow the resources and the way the lessons are designed you have all the support you need to figure out the solution. Also, with my current employer I work daily with our dev team and this hands-on knowledge I am/will be learning can help me immediately in my current role during my conversations with customer onboards during the integration process with different CRMβs to our LMS software. I plan to continue onto the SheCodes plus program and fingers crossed I will succeed in becoming a developer one day!
