SheCodes Workshop segments introductions to HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a way I was able to understand and learn at a decent pace. I'm looking forward to SheCodes Plus and SheCodes React.
I was definitely one of those people who thought coding would be ridiculously hard. It is learning a new "language", after all. However, Matt makes these courses succinct enough to grasp the concepts and practice on your own with homework, and does a great job explaining the tougher lines of code which could get tricky. The work was definitely engaging and it was really fun crafting my own landing page. I thought this 3 week course was the perfect way to get my feet wet in the world of coding. I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus!
After pursuing SheCodes workshop, I decided to keep learning code with SheCodes Plus and I did not regret it. It was a very enriching experience and also rewarding : I made my first fully functional weather app. What an accomplishment!

After completing the 'introduction to coding' course, I got so hooked on coding that I decided to continue my coding journey with SheCodes Plus. The SheCodes Plus workshop has been a great coding experience. I have learned so much about CSS, JS and much more. Matt has been a great teacher and explaining everything in detail. And if this wasn't enough, Joao was there to answer all our questions. The SheCodes community is very helpful and encouraging. The SheCodes Plus Workshops gave me a deep understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and all the skills and tools (GIT, GitHub, VSCode, Netlify, etc.) and creative ideas for inspecting code, locating samples and example code, as well as an enormous amount of resources. I feel strong about my coding skills and empowered to move forward as a designer/developer/coder/...!
I had such a fun time learning SheCodes Plus! Although a lot of the material was difficult and sometimes frustrating, it was so worth it and satisfying in the end. I loved building my weather app and it was amazing to see my final product actually work. I am so excited to continue learning and to be able to use these skills in the future!
I stumbled upon the SheCodes workshops by accident, but it feels like it was the perfect opportunity at just the right time. I tentatively registered for the free class but was hopeful. I had no previous experience coding, and frankly, no clue what coding entailed. But after the free class, I immediately signed up for the first SheCodes Workshop. Between the lessons, community chat, and encouragement from Matt to do more research on the material we were learning- I was hooked! Coding never seemed accessible and so I never knew I would hold any interest in it. SheCodes took the intimidation, self-doubt, and mystery away. For the first time in quite a while, I'm excited to learn again and feel confident that SheCodes will help me develop new skills. I'm proud and excited to say that I am enrolling in the SheCodes Plus React workshop to continue my training!!
With no previous experience in coding and just a very basic knowledge of HTML, I was able to build a weather app from scratch! After SheCodes Workshop I've decided to continue with SheCodes Plus and I can't even describe all the things that I've learned: HTML, CSS, advanced JS, Bootstrap, API and web hosting. Can't wait to start SheCodes React!
I'm a graphic designer and had basic knowledge of HTML & CSS. I've been interested in coding for a while. After the free intro class, I knew I had to register! Matt explains everything so well, I learned a lot from this workshop and loved how it was divided into manageable sections. The SheCodes community on Slack was great for support. I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is interested in learning more about coding. Can't wait to learn more in SheCodes Plus & SheCodes React.
It was great to see my 1st coding project ever coming to life! SheCodes Plus has been an amazing adventure to me. Challenges were of course part of it, but I still can't believe I made it to a functioning weather app. There's much more to learn about coding, but I'm glad I could learn some useful skills during the last 8 weeks.

This was a great way to start my journey in front-end development. I've been interested in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but have found it difficult to learn with most online courses. I was pleasantly surprised by the teaching style, which is different from other courses I've tried. Not only was I taught how to write in these languages, but I was actively encouraged to find answers to my own questions and given the tools to do so. SheCodes Plus were challenging workshops that demanded a lot of logical thinking and a lot of work but it was worth it! I managed to build a functional weather app from scratch and had a lot of fun in the process! It was a great experience trying to make it as functional and user-friendly as possible. I had some moments when I was stuck but as always I could count on the amazing SheCodes team to help me with every problem or doubt. SheCodes workshops gave me the motivation and courage to change my career and now I am starting my journey as a Junior Web Developer! I am so grateful to Matt, a truly amazing teacher who designed the lessons that are very well structured, straightforward and student-friendly. I can't think of a better way to explain coding. Now I can't wait to learn more with SheCodes React workshops!
The whole course of SheCodes Plus is a great starting point for all the coding beginners and maybe also for young specialists. I truly enjoyed it all the way, even though struggled at times. "For" loops, unit conversion, and 3h-forecast were my Everest π. Nevertheless, I've made it to the very top and now getting ready for the new adventures with React π±π₯³ As for the SheCodes further development, I would love to work on more of such training projects, maybe on some different topics, with further functionalities. To my mind, this would help a lot to collect a pretty portfolio of projects for the students, as well as would serve as a powerful exercise to sort of automate all the gained knowledge :)
The SheCodes introduction course provides you with a good introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The lessons are easy to follow and at the end of every lesson, a challenge awaits you. In order to finish the course, you are required to create your own website. I can highly recommend this course if you want to gain your first coding experiences. I am excited to start the SheCodes Plus Workshop next week and to further expand my coding skills π.
I had done a little bit of coding in school and had always been keen to learn how to code better and keep progressing with it. Thanks to SheCodes I can code in HTML and CSS and I learnt how to use JavaScript! Thank you SheCodes :) I can't wait to start 'SheCodes Plus' next week!!
Honestly, enrolling at SheCodes Plus was the best decision I made in 2020 in terms of learning. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with coding, but after following Matt's lessons closely, I started seeing it with a different perception. Front-end is awesome and so SheCodes! βIt's embarrassing but I was Java developer 10 years ago...π , and now I am on business side for my professional career. However, the background of "Tech + Business" have become my advantage. The technology is always evolving, and it is hard to catch up all the time if there is less opportunities like me. The learning through SheCodes Plus & React made me be up to date! I've absolutely loved studying this workshop and never thought coding would be as fun as it has been. The format is excellent & the balance of supporting but also encouraging me to find out the answers on my own has helped me learned a lot in a short time. I'll be booking a space on SheCodes Plus React, asap.
I would certainly recommend this course! It's very easy to follow the instructions in order to finish the challenges and projects at the end of the week! It can get a bit challenging at times but it's totally doable! I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus!
As a graphic designer I usually only make the designs of websites, dead prototypes you could say, but I always felt like there was some important knowledge missing. I wanted to learn what a web programmer/designer actually can do and what not β and now I feel like I'm a big step closer after the 3 weeks course. I'm really excited for the SheCodes Plus Workshop!
Before, I learned the basics of Python myself, but only the SheCodes course allowed me to feel confident in coding. The videos were short and the topics were clearly explained. I finally felt that coding could be fun. I'm looking forward to the lessons from SheCodes Plus.
This workshop have given me so much insight in the world of coding! It can actually be very fun! As I am continuing my coding education to SHeCodes Plus, I can't wait to get more information :) I really like the approach in the courses, it is all explained very well. Moreover, the challenges are actually CHALLENGES because in some cases you need to find out information on your own, not much, but just enough not to be laid-back about the assignment! :D
SheCodes Plus is a memorable experience, that guides you to overlap your fears and develop your skills to coding with an amazing step-to-step methodology. A self-paced course, accompanied by videos and live help through Slack platform, it can make it less stressful and motivative. It is a huge library of open sources that makes you happy βΊοΈ
Even though the course was only three weeks long, I learnt a lot about Javascript, CSS and HTML. I started with no knowledge at all and I thought I would struggle quite a bit but in the end I gathered a good understanding of programming and I feel comfortable with the topics we studied. I can't wait to continue with SheCodes Plus. π

I have started to know SheCodes by doing the "SheCodes Workshop". I was so fascinated by it that I decided to do "SheCodes Plus React". I just finished my second course with them and I feel so empowered by everything I learned in here. SheCodes Plus is great if you are looking for a new challenge and you want to learn something new! The learning process is very clear and you can always go back and review some of the older concepts! Great course!Can't wait to start React!

This has been a really fun and challenging course - I've absolutely loved learning new things each week (and it's amazing how much is in each lesson)! The help and support from the staff is amazing, and it's great being able to see what other classmates are creating. So happy I did SheCodes Plus!
I'm so glad I took a chance and did the first tier of workshops with SheCodes. It was a great way to learn as a semi-beginner in coding and it allowed me to add on to what I already knew slowly while learning new things. I'm considering taking the classes all the way to SheCodes Plus React in hopes of pivoting my career! Matt is a great instructor and having the slack channel as support was very helpful. I also liked that the courses are fluid enough to let you figure out solutions on your own. I appreciated that each lesson is bite-sized and the timing worked very well with my schedule and full-time job.
Bootstrap, API integration or DevOps workflow are some of the features that I have learned in this SheCodes Plus. After this challenging weeks, I have finished my Weather App with proud!! All the support team are always ready to give us a crucial hint!!

I would always recommend the SheCodes workshops. Even if I'm not an English native speaker or had any previous knowledge in coding, the lessons were understandable and easy to follow. The instructor Matt does a really good job! And if you need further support with your code, the slack community is awesome and helps you out. Well, at some points the SheCodes Plus workshop made me cry, desperate and hopeless. But at the end of each lesson and every challenge I was just happy and so excited to make the codes working and I'm looking forward to the next workshop!
SheCodes Plus gave me a really complete overview of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. By understanding the fundamental rules and concepts, I am now able to come up with ideas of my own. The classes were very clear and I received very reliable support on Slack!
In my search looking for a way to start with coding one of my colleagues suggested SheCodes. I started the workshop 3 weeks ago and really enjoyed every lesson. This course appeared to be challenging, challenging... and challenging! But how rewarding the final result is! The first course is indeed - an intruduction to coding, but SheCodes Plus force you to change your way of thinking. SheCodes Plus was a beautiful challenge. There were ups and down in trying to understand Javacript but the videos, the Slack channel and the challenges really help develop the skill the right way. The final project it is a great way to really put everything together and test your mindset and skills. I couldn't recommend it more.

I previously worked as a Digital Advertising Specialist for a media company in Washington DC. This is where I was first introduced to the coding world. I have advanced experience in HTML & CSS but, I knew I had only dipped my toes in the water. This was the moment I knew I wanted to pursue a career in programming (web developer/web design/frontend developer). I can say that the SheCodes Beginner Workshop taught me a lot. I now have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS & JavaScript. Iβm excited to further my knowledge by taking the SheCodes Plus & React courses. I highly recommend these courses to anyone who would like to explore coding. You, truly, don't need any experience! You only need a little bit of dedication & hard work π

SheCodes Workshop totally exceeded all expectations of what I thought the course would be like, and what I would gain from doing it. The prospect of learning how to code (effectively from scratch!) was daunting at first, but the course format, structure of each lesson, set tasks/challenges and weekly homework projects made my coding journey not only fun and digestible, but also extremely rewarding. Being able to receive personal feedback as well as learn and take inspiration from other coders on the Slack channel was a real bonus, and it has been great to be part of the community! The SheCodes Plus workshop is well explained and practical. There is a nice combination of video's and practicing. You learn by working on your own project. The Plus course has been challenging and was more intensive than the Workshop but it is broken up into manageable sections and you can do the lessons whenever you want so you can fit it around your routine. I'm looking forward to learning more in the React course!
SheCodes Plus workshops changed my approach to career - I know that hard work can take me very very far. Although I still have a long way to go, I already know that participation in the SheCodes workshop was the best decision in my life. At first, I didn't think I'd find a new passion, I bought the course out of curiosity. I wanted to learn something new, completely different from what I do on a daily basis. After a few weeks of learning, I created a working weather app - I am very proud of myself! You can learn a lot during the SheCodes workshops, but the most important thing is to have the curiosity to explore topics, because programming is a huge area. There is an infinite number of solutions to a given problem - often when you go through one door you see at least ten more :) And that's great about coding - the variety of interpretations, solutions and approaches.
Having had an interest in coding, I participated in SheCodes Express a few months ago and was inspired by Matt's way of breaking down previously foreign concepts into simple terms that I just had to try the Online workshop. With no previous knowledge of coding at all, the workshop was an intense and fulfilling learning curve for sure. I appreciated the swift response times of the SheCodes team on Slack, as well as the chance to learn everything in your own time. Thanks Matt and team! πLooking forward to undertaking SheCodes Plus!
