I've been curious about coding since 1 year ago, when a friend gave me a glimpse of what front-end development was. Following this introduction, I started looking for online courses so I could learn without abdicating from my daily (and full-time) job as physiotherapist. I tried many different online resources, but it was when I stumbled upon SheCodes on Instagram that my interest started to feel like an actual career possibility as I was reading the different testimonies. The start of the course was exhilarating to me: after working from 9am to 5pm, I would come home excited to learn new things at the rhythm of Mattβs explanations. What I thought could be a hard thing to reconcile - my daily job and the coding assignments - turned out to be quite affordable (not only in price but also) in self-motivation to do more and better. Overall the course is simple, organized, well-explained, inexpensive and gives me lots of tools far from the coding itself as I learned how to Google my obstacles away in a productive manner. Furthermore, I think itβs great to know that you are not alone in the learning process, as there are many others sharing their own doubts on slack! I completely recommend this course, especially for people in the same situation as myself who have found an interest and would love to explore it without compromising their current economic safety :)
The SheCodes video classes and their other resources are amazing, and the team is extremely helpful. Matt's videos are very easy to follow and I love the fact that they are not scripted so we can learn even more from him as he films himself coding in real-time with all the inherent challenges. Another plus is Matt always shows us the best coding practices, even when he says: "You don't have to do this but I highly recommend (...)" π So I can't recommend this workshop enough for people who are beginning their coding journey like me. It is a bliss!!
This workshop was amazing! I went from a complete beginner to being able to make something myself all in the space of three weeks. I can't recommend SheCodes enough, it was really easy to follow and fun to challenge myself learning a new skill.

I studied engineering, but never took coding classes and didn't realize how vital coding was to my career path until I got my first job. Working with my Controls counterparts taught me a lot, but most of all, it taught me that I had a lot to learn in terms of programming! One of my coworkers took this class and recommended it to me, so I figured I'd give it a shot and am very impressed with the amount of material that we covered in such a short time. It was very fun to make a webpage for the future (currently imaginary) bakery that my sisters want to open, and I learned a lot!

I finished this in a week because the lessons were great and slack provides that human interaction. a lot of classes are just videos with no way to communicate with anyone regarding questions. This brought me back to myspace days when I would rush home to mess around with code all day!! highly recommend it.
I liked the fact that the course had structure and deadlines. Really helpful in making sure I kept up with the course. The support team was brilliant and amazing at what they do. I did find bits of it slow or tedious - but I actually enjoyed the final project. I will be continuing on to the next course. would recommend for complete beginners. the way Matt talks you through step by step really helps you focus. SheCodes has been one of the most empowering things I have undertaken in the past year. I have always wanted to learn the basics of coding. As a graphic designer, I collaborate with programers and developers on a regular basis and learning their "language" will greatly enhance communication and collaboration. I am considering taking the advanced workshop now that I am done with the basic workshop. The classes are so easy to follow and the challenges at the end make them really interactive and worthwhile. I couldn't recommend this workshop more.
After years of debating what kind of coding course would be right for me, I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with SheCodes. I am extremely impressed by how thorough, clear, and fun Matt makes all of the lessons - I genuinely look forward to watching the next lesson and tackling something new. The structure of the course provides a wonderful balance between learning a little bit in each lesson but also moving through an entire chapter of content each week. I never feel overwhelmed with how much I'm learning in each lesson, and yet by the end of the week I feel accomplished and like I've covered some good ground. I couldn't recommend this course enough for those who are feeling on the fence about learning code. I didn't think the experience of learning code could be so fun, and I think you'll find the same thing to be true!

I enjoyed the workshop so much! I've already recommended the course to friends. It is built up so well. The information is supplied to students in lots of short video's taking you through the process step by step. Having interactions with teachers and peers through slack is a great way of getting help quickly, whatever timezone you find yourself in.

If you are interested in learning front-end development but don't know where to start, highly recommend starting with SheCodes Basics. Courses are well structured and easy to follow. I especially like that at the end of each lesson, you have to solve challenges which solidifies what you have learned with hands-on coding experience.
For a quick, basic overview and introduction to HTML, CSS, and Javascript, this course is perfect. Fast-paced, but not to the point where you're going to get overwhelmed and feel like you're falling behind. Lessons were easy to follow along with, and all the challenges were great, just difficult enough to keep you engaged. Highly recommend the course!
Building something like the final project with API and data was challenging, but I learned a lot. Therefore, I will do this course again to review the main points. The classes and methods are fantastic. I highly recommend it.

The Plus workshop was fun, but also challenging at times. However, whenever you run into a problem you can always count on Matt's colleagues or other students to patiently look into it and explain what can be done better. All in all, it was a great experience and I learned a lot, so I would definitely recommend!

This has been much more challenging but feels that much more rewarding. I've always liked coding but it's now that I realize that I think it's fun. The way JavaScript is taught in these lessons is far more digestible than in other courses, and while still difficult at times, not impossible. I feel that I've made it much farther than I have before. I already recommend these workshops to other people, and want to continue so I can get make a career out of this like I've wanted.
In just 3 weeks I learned about HTML, CSS, JavaScript languages and I enjoy every steps of my learning with SheCodes. wow...! I really feel like a developer now. I`d watched a lot of tutorials before this course but I never got the handle of Javascript as much as I do now. I think the reason of this mastery is that in each lesson there is a challenge to complete the lesson. so we are kinda forced to exercise everything we learn right after the tutorial. this way you get used to new things and gradually you store more skills in your coding arsenal. And finally, I absolutely recommend SheCodes plus because you're gonna ENJOY coding and this enjoying part is the most important thing in my opinion.
It's amazing what a person can achieve once they dedicate themselves and receive good guidance.
