It's an amazing opportunity to find out how to work with code languages, to discover new opportunities and to acquire new skills. I had so much fun learning about FrontEnd at this Workshop, that I definitely recommend this to every women willing to dive into this world of technology for life. I'm an architect and urban planner, far away from computer machines or coding, but I think it's vital for everyone to learn at least the basics of it if we want to go with the flow and not to sink.
SheCodes was a great workshop because it gave me the opportunity to learn a lot in a very relaxed but focused and objective way. We should have more initiatives like this one especially designed for women interested in tech. I highly recommend it!
This course gave me the motivation to get back into coding with the confidence of knowing the basics of html, css and javaScript and skills to research problems that arise when learning something new. I would recommend if you want to know the basics in a timely manner.

The first time I thought about creating a website, I never thought all the coding that was behind. In fact, I did not even know how to start. With SheCodes, we get a huge starting point: we get insights on html, css and java script. It is so exciting to code and see the final output! I recommend SheCodes for all who want to learn the basics of creating a website!!
The videos are ok for a complete beginner, but the information is already available for free. I expected the live sessions to be denser and to go into detail much more. Also, I expected the courses to explain the theory and to show practical examples much more. I would only recommend this course to someone who has zero knowledge of HTML/CSS, but not to someone who's good at learning on their own or who already followed some tutorials. For the same price, you can get a 3-month subscription on a DEV-focused platform and learn all these skills, plus much more :). So in my case definitely the expectations were too high for what the course offers, especially when it comes to the live sessions.
The live workshops and the homework in between was a perfect combination and gave me the time to study even additional information. I would highly recommend the coding workshops at SheCodes.
I attended to SheCodes Live Workshop, so I can only talk about that. The course itself is instructed nicely, however I believe the curriculum was not very well suited to the amount of money that you pay (at my time it was 99 euros). you are going to have Courses and homeworks for 2 weeks, and the whole third week is dedicated to your final project, which I believe it could be better if they would have some material for the 3rd week too (Matt is going to have live webinar for 4 times in total, once per week). If you are brand new in coding then yes that is a good way to start. Also the slack-chat environment has a really nice, helpful and friendly atmosphere. BUT for someone who has a tiny little bit of coding experience I wont recommend this course. you should look for more challenging homeworks and syllabus. They are at the starting point though, so most probably they are going to improve themselves a lot.

SheCodes was the perfect way for me to start learning how to code! The structure of the course is really good - with live classes and several tutorials, challenges and homework to work on during the following week. Matt is also super clear during the classes which are so well prepared too. I highly recommend this course for who, as me before, wanted to give a first step into coding. I highly recommend SheCodes workshop for anyone interested in learning to code. I really enjoyed the challenges part as it helps to learn progressively and concretely practice HTML, CSS and Javascript. You get to build your own project and it was very exciting. Honestly, this workshop is amazing! It helps women to see new opportunities in their career, I’ve never seen so many happy and motivated students, every part of the workshop was fun and interesting. For almost 10 years I worked as a Public Relation manager in Russia and I didn’t have any experience in coding. I’ve visited a lot of courses and classes, but this workshop changed my professional life completely, after 4 weeks of such an intensive program I feel more confident in communication with my IT colleagues. The workshop was very cool. Not only you learn how to code in three different languages, but you also learn the appropriate terminology, a little bit of the history behind coding, resources coders use, and how it is to work in the world of code. Also, Matt is a good lecturer - he's honest, funny, knows what to say in order for you to understand what you are doing and puts up exercises for you to practice what you learned. It is one thing to learn coding at home and another to walk down the road alongside many other like-minded people. It was educational and, most importantly, a fun experience. Is isn't easy for first timers, however, but will serve to gauge of our interest to further pursue coding. In my case, it was a resounding "yes!". Highly recommended for all who are curious about programming or wish to partake in a field in great demand.

Two days that passed really fast. We had an introduction to HTML, CSS and javascript that allowed us to understand how they work and how they are integrated with each other. As a software tester, I saw some improvements in my day-to-day work. I must recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to start programming.
I came to this workshop with a little bit of fear inside my heart, doubting I'd be able to go through it, since coding always seemed like such an unattainable task.
