My third workshop with SheCodes! This responsive workshop was challenging but I really liked it! I got to create my own portfolio website using everything that I learned so far. If you need to build a multi-page responsive website, this workshop is the way t go. I'm looking forward to the next challenge in the React workshop.
What a ride. I 110% recommend SheCodes, and I recommend that you start from the basics and move all the way to React. It really was a great journey, can't way to continue to create great web pages and apps. Thank SheCodes, Thank you Matt, and Thank You to all the programmers that are so fast in responding to our questions on Slack.

Wow! It's been an interesting journey so far. Learning JSX (React) is a simplified way of coding. I know I still need to practice more and I'll be good to go. With what you have taught me, I recently got a client who asked me if I could host a site and I proudly did and soon will be paid for it. I enjoyed the other SheCodes workshops (Basic and Plus), but the React workshop was very disappointing. The help from the SheCodes Slack channel was pretty apathetic - my questions and the questions of other students were often "answered" with really short and thoughtless responses that made it clear that the team was not actually looking very closely at our issues. At the time of writing this testimonial, React is on version 18, but Matt is teaching version 16 after making a big to-do about always teaching us the latest version. The changes between the two aren't that significant, but they were significant enough that it made completing challenges more difficult than they should have been. I am also appalled at how often I have heard "just Google it" during this course. I paid to learn React, have someone walk me through the terminology, and follow a step-by-step guide, NOT to read forum after forum of coding jargon I don't understand. It was also very disheartening to have to complete a weather application YET AGAIN after going through it once (or twice, if you count the last two weeks of the program) in the Plus course. All in all, I did learn about React during this course, but I feel completely unprepared to tackle it in any scenario outside of a weather app.
Completing SheCodes Plus feels like such a huge achievement! It was a very tricky module which makes me feel that much prouder for finishing it! Having the chance to work with live data was so cool I can't wait to get started with SheCodes responsive and react
Wow what a fun ride! Looking back 5 months ago when I first started this journey I knew nothing about coding, and now I'm able to build a weather app. This app looks simple but there was a lot of hard work behind it. Can't wait to learn more about React!
It was very interesting course. I received the understanding of how React works and had a lot of practice. There is still a lot of things to learn, however this journey was very useful. Thanks a lot, dear SheCodes!
React has been really interesting to dive in, and we can also take the chance to improve the weather app we did from the Plus workshop! Always a pleasure to be learning from Matt and seeing how he is also learning together with us during the videos, and debugging issues we encounter at the same time. I learned a lot from all these workshops and really looking forward to see what I can do with my skills. I also appreciate the SheCodes team checking and following up with us on Slack to see how we are progressing at times as well. It is a great experience from the beginning to the end, and I will highly recommend people who are keen to jump into coding, this is one of the best places to start!
This responsive workshop was challenging but very fun! I got to design and code my own portfolio website and make it accessible across platforms, which will be helpful when job hunting in the future. I'm looking forward to the next challenge in the React workshop and to further my education!

SheCodes React is a highly practical-oriented course, where we get ReactJS coding experience. As a result, we prepared two full-fledged projects and gained practical skilles.

I was a complete coding newbie when I came to SheCodes. I ended up purchasing the whole course. More expensive than some other choices so it took some thought, but I have absolutely no regrets. I have learnt so much in such a short amount of time. Having my work checked weekly is invaluable as someone with ADHD, having gentle structure has helped me immensely. Onto SheCodes React next and I’m really looking forward it.
Good introduction to React. It can be challenging to understand this new syntax. Matt does a nice job helping us become familiarized with it.

Thanks to Matt and the whole SheCodes team who created detailed and well-explanatory courses and were available to help at any moment along the way, I have gained a solid understanding of coding with JavaScript and React. Within the framework of the workshops, I have built my own portfolio containing various projects. Sometimes it was challenging but always very rewarding! Thank you SheCodes for the knowledge and the great time learning about Front-end Development! Even if this journey has come to an end, I will continue coding with confidence and excitement! Highly recommended to women who want to challenge themselves and start a new career path.
This last workshop (React) was a tough one. But when you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot of fun. I would definetly recommend SheCodes, because it gives you a great roadmap to learn pretty advanced techniques. I have learned a lot and had fun while doing it. Personally, I find SheCodes React was the most challenging lesson especially the Dictionary App Project. But, the beauty in this is that there's always a room for learning and improving your skills. I always feel motivated to find the solutions for each challenges given in the lessons and aim to provide a creative and user-friendly app . I thank Prof Matt and SheCodes Team to make this a wonderful learning journey for me. SheCodes is definitely a fun startup for those who are keen to learn coding. 😊😎👍

This was my final SheCodes course, and probably the one I enjoyed the most. I had fun learning React and solving problems while working on my two projects. If I were to look back to when I started, I can appreciate how far I got and while my coding journey doesn't end with SheCodes, I'm happy it was a big part of my development into the world of coding. 👩🏻💻 Matt explained the concepts clearly and I would definitely recommend the React course if you already enjoyed vanilla JS.

Building the dictionary React App was the most fun I had throughout all my Shecodes workshops. As always, I got so much help from the Shecodes Team on slack that gave me the courage and confidence to break my code and experiment on my own without the worry of getting stuck and not finding my way out.
I have loved all the paths with SheCodes. It is so much fan and Matt has a nice way to teach coding, I am looking forward to taking the React course with SheCodes.

After going through all the workshops, this one by far was the hardest to understand but SheCodes makes it as easy as possible to get the concepts down. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in continuing to learn coding, especially such an in-demand concept as React JS.

I really enjoyed all the SheСodes courses. The last one (React.js) was not easy, but still very interesting. I plan to continue making sites and work in this direction. SheСodes workshops were a very good start for me. Of course, you need to spend a lot of time on self learning, but with the course it is much easier.
Highly recommend this workshop to everyone! I find React more interesting and fun as I learn through the lessons. I've gained more knowledge about how React works with the advanced features. The workshop are definitely challenging sometimes but with all the resources and help that you can get from online and Slack, I find it very rewarding when I was able to figure out the codes and debug the errors.

I have had a great experience building Weather and Dictionary App. React is pretty advanced stuff and I spent hours finding the best appropriate solutions for the projects. The tasks were rather brainstorming and challenging. But I managed to cope with them. Thanks to SheCodes!

Another great learning process on coding in the React workshop. Getting to know different way of coding and gaining more knowledge of more advanced features. Quite challenging sometimes but with all the available resources, this made the self-learning process possible.
Yeey, I finished the Responsive course! I’m still happy with SheCodes and this is my third course – only one more to go (the React course)! I love the flexibility around these courses, because I am working full-time and do my SheCodes coding in the evening and on the weekend. SheCodes React pushed my understanding of coding basics and allowed me to utilize the tools I'd learned in previous courses to create new and interesting projects. Classes were manageable in both time and complexity and I recommend to anyone who is considering a career in coding!
The course is very easy to follow and not too complicated to process the information. I like that even if you don't know how to make smth work you still need to investigate it by yourself first and only after that you can see the solution of the challenge. So probably it will stay longer in your memory. I can recommend it to people who want to get acquainted with React or want to transfer their projects to React. It's not a very deep React learning but a very smooth base.

Excellent React course with clear explanations and practice. I understand the basics of how to build applications with React and enjoyed creating my 2 projects.
SheCodes Responsive gave me a sense of becoming an actual web designer. As Matt provided the practical tools to build a website that is mobile friendly, I got to learn, practice, and actualize website development throughout the course. Since I have not touched on JavaScript, I am a bit concerned that I might have forgotten a lot of what I have learned previously😥 Notwithstanding, I am excited to move onto the next and the last course SheCodes React while solidifying what I have been learning with SheCodes.
This was my 4th SheCodes workshop and, just like the others, this was an amazing experience. It was my first time working with react, these courses are always a great way to start learning. You go step by step and, at the same time, understand the great power of each technology or tool.
SheCodes React gives you the necessary confidence you need to learn a very popular framework. It has been a long exciting journey, where I had the opportunity to build some amazing projects. The videos are easy to follow and you can test yourself with the challenges.
After 6 months of intense online workshop together I am at the end of my path with SheCodes React that add another milestone to rich me of knowledge about the coding world. This workshop was a helpful overview of React framework and much of what front-end development entails. I always felt like I was having a rough go of it, but when I casually speak to senior developers in person or online, I actually have an inkling what they are talking about. There's a very clear difference between day one and now and I'm pleased with the progress. SheCodes is the only program I've completed in full. I'll have to dig a bit deeper into JavaScript and React if I want to take this further. I'm glad I got to participate. My dad would think it's pretty cool of me, and I dedicate this entire process to him.

Although very trying at times, this course has been very valuable. When I began SheCodes Basics, I had no idea that I would enjoy coding as much as I have. I now have taken SheCodes React, the final course and it is unbelievable how much I have grown as a programmer. I will definitely refer others to this course.

The SheCodes React workshop was fun and challenging. It was a pleasant experience to turn the vanilla JavaScript weather app from the Plus workshop into React in this workshop. The Slack Channel provided good support. Many students struggle with similar problems thus I could find answers to most of my questions on the Slack Channel.
SheCodes Plus was an amazing and challenging course. In just 2 months I have learned more advanced HTML, CSS and JavaScript (comparing to what I knew from a previous course) and add up some more skills - like working with API, GitHub, Bootstrap and Hosting. The whole SheCodes team in the front with Matt was incredibly helpful and motivational. The whole course is made so unbelievable well that even though you might have tons of work or school, you still will happily watch all the videos, do all the challenges and basically spend 8+ hours each week learning to code. And luckily, you will see the results! I highly recommend this course to anyone who thinks that coding might be something interesting for her. I am definitely going to do the next course React and silently hoping that SheCodes will make some more courses.
Once again I felt amazing while learning with Matt, with another project finished I really feel like my goal of changing careers is getting closer and I couldn't be happier with what I've accomplished so far. Can't wait to start my React course!

I've always been more of an outdoorsy nerd than a computer geek, but SheCodes might just convert me! I started the workshop with zero coding knowledge whatsoever and found it very easy to follow along with the lessons. I enjoyed the challenges and projects and loved that Matt pushed us to do some creative problem solving in each of the assignments. Looking forward to moving on to React!
A difficult - yet really rewarding - course from SheCodes. I feel like I've got a good baseline to improve my React skills and it's great to have a few projects to add to my portfolio!

I was super nervous to learn React but the SheCodes curriculum really broke it apart into learnable & attainable bits and slowly integrated them all together. Mentally it was hard to switch gears to React from JS but once you practiced and it got familiar it was neat to see all the cool things you can do using React. This course is a must if you want to know and understand how to use & build react apps. It really helped to open both windows and code right beside Matt as he was doing it real time.
The best course I have ever taken! Love the explanation and a choice of project work. React was a bit difficult for me, but I understood everything that Matt talked about and successfully managed my Weather Project and Dictionary Project. In addition I made them responsive. I will definitely recommend to take React course after Responsive, trust me ^^
Very good formation for learning the first steps of code. Interesting and nice way to learn. The instructor is a good teacher, anticipating the potentials problems or misunderstoods we could meet. He explains in a clear way every lessons, even if it's already more technical. The team is also very good. If you need something, an advice, a solution for a technical problem, they're here and really reactive. All those people make this formation very nice to do. Thanks to you and your work.
