I discovered SheCodes on Instagram and I am very positively impressed. Matt explains in the videos exactly what to do and if you get stuck you get help. I find that very cool. Creating my project was also a lot of fun. - thank you very much! I highly recommend this workshop.
I have used visual scripting in the Unreal Engine for a senior project and that has been the extent of my coding experience. All the lessons were super easy to understand and had me super excited when things clicked in my own projects. I know its just the basics course and I have so much more to learn, but I am very glad I started here!
I would HIGHLY recommend SheCodes!!! I was able to build my first project from the ground up with having no previous knowledge of software development. As a SheCodes graduate I am happy to have completed this module .The road of completing the challenges and homework was filled with ups and downs, but in the end when the code worked it made me so happy. I had so much fun in completing the final project and gave me so many ideas about future projects I would love to develop.
After completing the first introduction course with SheCodes, i wanted to learn more. I have wanted to learn to code for a while but didn't know where to start. Matt's tutorials are very easy to follow and understand and helps us to complete the weekly homework and final projects. The support on slack is amazing and if you are stuck, you will have a reply within hours which has been a massive help. This course has been more challenging than the introduction course, but I am proud to have completed it.
I am beyond grateful to the SheCodes team for adding the Responsive workshop to their portfolio! It has helped me bridge any gaps in knowledge, especially around website responsiveness, that I had as an aspiring Front-end Developer having taken all previous workshops. I had a really great time learning to code within those past few weeks. The course is structured in a great way so that you get just the right amount of information at a time to process it and to make progress. When working on my final project I almost couldn't believe how far I had come and that I was now actually able to build my very first landing page from scratch. And brag about it. 😉
Such an amazing coding workshop! Going into it I had no idea what to expect. By the end of the workshop I fell in love and felt so accomplished when I finished the final project. I can't wait to continue my coding journey with SheCodes. ♥️ 👩🏻💻
It was super intrigued and fun to work on two React projects in this course. Transforming all the ideas I had in the Plain JS version of the weather application to React was quite a headache for me, but at the same time really worth it. Special thanks to Joao for his support to get me out of React exhaustive loops. Also I find the what-to-do-next after SheCodes courses sent by SheCodes team very helpful. It's actually introduced me to Udacity courses to deepen my knowledge further in React.
I had tried to learn coding on many different platforms and felt like I was losing steam- until I joined SheCodes! As a busy mom with a full-time job, I don't have time for an intense full time bootcamp but I definitely needed a program with structure, deadlines, and a team ready to help. SheCodes fit that bill perfectly. I am excited to have turned in my Basics project and am quite proud of my work. I'm ready to embark onto the next workshop knowing my education is in good hands ♥️
I loved this course! After the free class and the 3 weeks workshop, I was hooked on coding and decided to go for the 8 weeks workshop. Working on the weather project was definitely challenging and a bit frustrating sometimes but then when everything came all together it was really satisfying! I've really loved taking part in the SheCodes Basics course. The course is engaging with its concise tutorials, where you can put what you've learnt to use straight away in the exercises. The format of the course has helped me to hold myself accountable, I love the deadlines and knowing that I'm working towards a final project where I can put everything I've learnt to use! I've been wanting to start my coding journey for 12+ months but have been stuck in tutorial purgatory until I found SheCodes. I feel that I'm really making progress and the community on Slack makes asking for help, and engaging with the SheCodes community, very easy.
This has been a fantastic introduction into the world of coding. The lessons are clearly organised, with interesting activities throughout. I am very pleased with my final project, putting into practice everything I have learnt so far. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute and can't wait for the next project with SheCodes!
Lots of new information. An interesting project to create your own portfolio. New tasks for styling website with CSS and Bootstrap. The most impotant and the most interesting thing was to create a responsive and SEO friendly website.
And with this final submission, I have completed all available SheCodes workshops! 🥲All previous SheCodes grads should take this responsive course. I'm taking all of the knowledge I've gotten from this course and I'm going to be going back through my previous projects from Plus and React and retooling them with the info I've gained through this workshop. As always, Matt explains things in a way that it's easy to understand and implement. If there are ever other SheCodes workshops in the future, I will definitely be taking those too.
This was such a fun adventure into the world coding! I feel like I've begun learning a new language - that of computers, which has allowed me to design my own projects! I had never done any coding prior and the intro course was easy to follow and explore HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I love the mission of this company and support their endeavors to get more women into coding. I feel confident that the skills I learned here will help me launch new career opportunities in tech!
It was fun to learn about coding! The course makes it easy to understand, and its nice to have homework to hand in on a certain date, and a final project! I really enjoyed this, and will recommend it to anyone that wants an insight in the coding-world!
Loved it! It's an intensive course and requires consistent work, I had to take a break due to work and found myself needing to revisit the entire course before I could proceed. Great teaching style, easy to follow but I enjoyed the extra research and thought one had to apply to complete the challenges, homework and the project!
Loved this course! I am completely brand new to coding and after just three weeks I feel so empowered! I'm already seeing these skills come in handy in my personal projects and in my work! I can't wait to keep going and continue learning!
Such an amazing journey it's been for me, from learning the fundamentals of Web Dev, to Vanilla JS and now React. After so many frustrating and expensive online tutorials and courses, SheCodes was a breath of fresh air for someone with no coding background like me. Matt is a fantastic teacher, he really knows his stuff! Every workshop is well designed and a lot of thought was put into these. Concepts are conveyed with examples and described in a simple and easy fashion, so you don't feel overwhelmed. The lessons are super easy to follow, and homework and projects are great to put everything into practice by yourself. Couldn't recommend more!
SheCodes Responsive was super informative! I loved learning more about Bootstrap, how to use Flexbox, and ways to make my sites responsive and SEO friendly. It's encouraged me to revisit previous projects and make updates that reflect what I've just learned. Looking forward to starting SheCodes React!
I look forward to my SheCodes lessons every day! I still have another workshop after this and I'm already sad about it ending. The SheCodes format makes challenging concepts easier to learn and provides so much support and external resources. The projects are practical and provide a diverse range of skills to show potential employers. I can't recommend this course enough!! Matt is such a great teacher with everything explained so clearly and I've come out of the course with 2 great projects and a wealth of new skills. I'm now excited to continue learning more and hopefully soon land a career in the tech industry!

Very engaging content and easy instructions to follow even with more complex topics, it is very well explained. It gives a "real-life" coding experience. The final project to work on is a great example with a lot of possibilities and challenges to try and learn. I really enjoyed this course, I gained a lot of practical experience and so much motivation.

Learning how React works was very fun and interesting. The algorithms of loopings were quite new for me. The projects that are developed during the course are useful and fun, they are well guided and the developers have room for own investigation and creativity. Thank you!

Great way to kick start your interest into coding without being overwhelmedI liked being challenged by revising the lessons regularly and the projects were a good reinforcement of what we learnt.
The React workshop was by far the most challenging thing, but also the most fun part of my journey so far. It was full of hours of trying to do the same thing different ways and it failing, as well as the joys of finally figuring out what I wanted to do and having the rush of making a part of the app work well. I recommend this workshop to those that are fine with failing twenty to thirty times before succeeding, because you will hit many walls, at least I did. I will continue what I learned in React and will further hone my skills with other projects.
I had a great time with this course and with Matt as the teacher. He does a great job breaking things down and using the right words to make terms easily understandable. The challenges assigned correlates with what we learned prior so being able to apply what I've learned on the challenges and project made me more comfortable with coding.

This was a great intro to JS and working with APIs! Pretty easy to follow, and challenging enough to be interesting. I had a lot of fun working on my final project, and I'm eager to learn more about React and responsive development now.
I really enjoyed this 3 week workshop! At first I wasn't sure how well I'd be able to cope with the number of lessons and challenges there were to complete, in addition to the homework. But the lessons are short, to the point and extremely informative and in the end I thoroughly enjoyed working through the challenges and designing my final project! I would definitely recommend anyone thinking about signing up to just go for it! You won't regret it!
Once again, I have really enjoyed learning with SheCodes. This workshop picks up a really important topic, responsiveness, and demystifies it, bringing some good tips and nice examples of how to approach it. I also like the fact that it has a portfolio as final project. So overall a nice learning experience and a good place to start and make some sense of responsiveness and basic SEO tips.
I really enjoyed this Project. I have wanted to create a portfolio site for some time and this really gave me the push I needed to do it. I really enjoyed learning about responsive design and it really added to my knowledge base. I am very proud that I now have my own site.
SheCodes Plus was a bigger challenge with new layers of complexity. After finishing the weather app project, the feeling is amazing seeing the final results. With all the support from the SheCodes team, it has been smoother sailing.
I really LOVED taking the SheCodes React course! It gave me all the tools I needed to build an app from the beginning to the end, using everything I learned in SheCodes Basics and Plus, in addition to learning how to streamline all my code in React. I love this method of learning, with Matt's videos in which he explains and shows the whole process, and also the challenges and homeworks, that allowed me to practice and learn, and also prepared me to the final project. I am so happy I finished the advanced Plus workshop. It was fun and challenging, I highly recommend it! ✨ With this course, Matt has given me a profund close up to HTML, CSS and JavaScript; considering that 2 months ago I had no idea of what coding was, and now I can make a fully functional project! Amazing! I now feel confident to use this new knowledge as a UX Designer. 🚀 Definitely will continue to expand my knowledge in programming. Kudos to the team on Slack! they are a fundamental part for the students and the bugs we sometimes cannot fix on our project 🙌
Great experience!!! This 2nd workshop really took things to the next level and gave me a lot of additional knowledge. I really feel more confident with Javascript. The weather app project is a good start for my portfolio and the team is always ready to help when needed.
It was really helpful to take this course after completing the other three SheCodes workshops! This course really helped pull all the information together and made me feel a lot more confident in formatting my projects and keeping them responsive to a variety of devices. There are some really helpful tips in this course and creating the portfolio was essential for me and it helped to have all of my previous SheCodes projects to display! Now I've officially completed all 4 workshops and and I easily say, it was a lot of hard work, but was definitely worth it! The team is very helpful and are there to help and guide you through the process.
This course gave me a way better understanding on how react components are created and communicate with each other, than when I tried to learn React by myself. Even though some parts were tricky to follow, especially when a different API needs to be used than the one displayed in the course, I really enjoyed completing the challenges and both of the final projects.
I knew nothing about React before this course, and now I am a huge fan. As someone who tries to keep things organized, I liked the efficiency of building UI components into a huge library. I can see why more and more developers are using it! While this course was a challenge, it was one worth taking. I'm glad that SheCodes added a second project to this course because I felt more confident the second time around and I had a lot of fun creating it. I'm so proud to add two new projects to my portfolio.
It was a great experience building a responsive website and also a great opportunity to build a portfolio website which I can always update with my newest projects.
This was an awesome extension of the SheCodes work I've already done. Not only was I able to get back into coding in a motivated way, but it was doing a project that will really benefit me in the future.

It was my first experience in coding and I found it very engaging and interesting. I have really enjoyed the SheCodes Plus course. I think that it is really well structured and it allows you to learn comfortably at your own pace with weekly deadlines to keep you on track. The videos are very clear and easy to follow and it's pretty incredible how much you learn in such a short space of time and on one project. Definitely a good springboard to start from!
I am probably like many people who tried to learn how to build a website by picking up bits and bobs of knowledge and examples of code here and there through various means including online tutorials. I really struggled with this approach and building something, like I had to for a couple of university projects, tended to be quite frustrating. With SheCodes I finally found a method to learn in a structured way where each step builds logically on the previous steps. Now that I have finished the basics course I can't wait to get on with SheCodes Plus and React 🥳🤓

When I finished my React workshop and worked on other coding projects I really felt like my responsive design needed some work, so I was thrilled when this workshop got introduced. As a Computer Science major this really helped me find my love for coding again and I loved how free I was to do whatever I want and not have to follow a strict assignment as I would in school. I can see myself just playing around with what I learned as a new hobby now because I can see how I can put my own interests and combine them like I did with my final project.

I was hesitant at first but I finally decided to give it a try cause 1) it kept popping up as ads on YouTube or a game I was playing 2) I wanted to try something new, for myself, that didn't take up too much of my time from my 16 and 7 year old boys, both with disabilities. Surprisingly, it IS how they say it is. Only a few hours a week and anyone, I mean anyone, can do it. I had no knowledge of coding what-so-ever. But I really enjoyed doing the challenges and the project. He warns you that you won't understand a lot but at the same time it makes sense if you understand how to use the tools he gives. My advice to anyone giving it some thought, if you have a few hours to spare a week, then just go for it. And try not to overthink anything cause there is nothing to overthink. You have the help of others at your finger tips. Yes, it can be frustrating at times (nothing comes without frustration) but it's all worth it in the end.
One more time, this course was amazing! Happy to code, not one project but two! Each one project, we have the basic concepts to start and learn but at same time is open to get more creative and develop more features and test our limitions! And don't forget the support! Amazing people: João, Matt, Daniela that help us and make our lives ease when we don't get why our code doesn't work! Thank you guys! I'm so glad to be part of SheCodes family!
This was such a great course! It gave a really great understanding in how to use React and being able to make two projects really helped to consolidate everything that we had learned in the earlier weeks.

Continuing my coding journey with the SheCodes Responsive workshop as soon as it was available was a no-brainer for me 😀. I enjoyed every workshop on this platform and would recommend it to anyone who is curious about coding or wants to increase their career opportunities. I started from scratch, with zero coding knowledge and although there are some tricky parts (hello JavaScript! 👋) I feel like I've learned so so much during the last weeks (or rather months 😃). Can't wait for more workshops and projects to come!
I have always picked up new systems very easy so thought why not try coding. I do not regret it! It has been great to learn, be challenged and create. Matt explains everything very clear and if you are ever in doubt or get stuck, there are numerous hint and tips in every video and you have a great community that can help you! There is a lot to wrap your head around, but instructions are clear and highlights the fact that learning to code is hard, there is not just one solution and that practise is necessary - I wish I'd had more time set aside personally, but as the project is finished, I'm looking forward to go back and review the steps and develop a deeper understanding and become more proficient before enrolling in next step
I would have loved to have more projects to prepare for the final one since it was quite difficult in my opinion. Apart from that it was so much fun!
SheCodes Responsive has been a perfect addition to the SheCodes workshops. Matt makes the course concepts seem quite straight forward, but putting them into practice was quite challenging and at the same time super rewarding. It's given me the motivation to continue my coding journey and find new projects to add to my portfolio.

Would definitely recommend to people that are brand new to coding, Matt goes everything in a very detailed manner that doesn't overwhelm you. The videos are easy to follow along to and courses can be done at anytime which provides great flexibility. The only things I didn't like was having to do the first two lessons on codepen and then switching to VS Code for projects after and having the CSS and JS done within the HTML file (but I am sure that it's like that so the team can grade things easier).
It's been a journey, I'm so happy that I attended the SheCodes Plus workshop! I loved doing the final project and will use everything that I learned in the future for sure. Everyone at SheCodes is friendly and supportive, and the classes are extremely well explained. I feel very confident to continue on this coding journey.
