I am more than grateful to SheCodes (Matt Delac) for this wonderful opportunity to learn coding from the best coding school on planet earth. I literally knew nothing about coding before I started out on SheCodes, I was more like a baby in coding but Matt made coding fun and very easy for me and today I have been able to understand and know the basics of coding and what it entails. React was challenging... I had to request two extensions to actually grasp everything. However, it was pretty rewarding to see everything I could do in the final projects. Thanks Matt for an amazing journey through coding!

I stated with the Basic class which I enjoyed and got motivated to move on to the next workshop, SheCodes Plus. Building the weather app was challenging yet fun and full of experiences. Now I'm motivated to work on a personal weather project. I learnt so much and inspired to work more on hands-on projects. I was not Overwhelmed through out the journey because Matt's teaching was top notch, explanatory and easy to understand. Just from learning through SheCodes Basics, I could say that I can now eloquently build websites by learning the basics (HTML, CSS & JS)! Matt taught me everything that I needed to know in such an effective way; guiding me through every step I needed to understand, just like baby steps! I love the fact that I'm allowed to do these classes in my own time and capacity, and the projects are really fun and challenging to do! It's really pushing my boundaries to want to learn more and challenge myself to become a better programmer in the future! I am glad to have applied for shecodes foundation. I learnt the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript and it was a fun experience. Thanks to shecodes I now have more respect for UI/UX design 😅 , I really struggled to come up with an interface for my project. I know I'm not halfway there yet but I am on the right path. Loved learning JS more in depth and playing around with APIs. Although this course was more difficult than the last, Matt does a great job with showing you how to build the project from scratch to finish.
I really enjoyed the beginners course, so wanted to challenge myself by expanding my knowledge of coding. This was a really fun project to work on, frustrating at times but it feels amazing to have created my very own fully-functioning application from scratch!
I'm a product designer with no previous coding knowledge. I really wanted to understand how to keep scope down in my projects at work, and learn how to work better with my developers so that I could speak the same language as them. After just 3 weeks, my communication has improved tremendously with my devs! I couldn't believe it, and neither could they honestly hahaha. So grateful to have taken this workshop!

SheCodes was an excellent, challenging, fast paced experience of learning the basic elements of HTML, CSS and Javascript in bite size, easy to digest, weekly classwork videos and assignments. Those quick easy wins are euphoric and give you the momentum to push past any troubling moments while you are learning. Matt has a great energy. He gives the tools you need to complete the assignments and projects in a way that is exciting. The knowledge you gain teaches you to recognize code in the things you already use and allows you to dream about what you can create once you gain the knowledge SheCodes provides.

I loved relearning Coding! It was a passion of mine when I was younger and this course really ignited that love I had again. Matt does a great job at explaining everything thoroughly so that you have the tools you need to understand and succeed. SheCodes Plus was just as enjoyable to dive further in HTML,CSS,& JS. Plus, it was exciting to learn how to use GitHub, API & host my project. Matt & the tech team are very helpful if needed, which is a bonus ontop of this self-pace bootcamp 😉
I enjoyed the basic SheCodes course and it really helped me to kick start my coding journey. Lectures are easy to follow, explanations are quite clear and the Slack chat is very useful when it comes to asking questions and getting support. They also provide learners with a lot of resources for projects, which is great. On the downside, I expected to get a deeper knowledge of JavaScript. That part was too basic and it felt like we could have gone a bit further. Apart from that, I loved everything else and I will definitely recommend this course to those looking for an introduction to coding.
SheCodes React was a tough journey, but was definitely worth it in the end. It is so great to see the progress that one makes in only a few weeks. Classes are well structured, the projects are fun to work on and the team support via Slack is great! Thank you so much Matt & team for teaching me how to get the most out of coding with React.

Great course! Very easy to follow and well explained. I like how the material is divided into short videos and you can learn step by step and motivate yourself by finishing each small challenge which leads to a bigger final project.
SheCodes has given me the tools to expand my coding knowledge! I just finished the Responsive Workshop and I couldn't be happier. I believe it's an important step to take, given that most websites are being used on mobile phones primarly. I am eager to apply everything I've learned to real-life projects.
It was been a bit stressful but at the same time a great learning experience. It is always pleasant to learn something new and to see a newly finished project.
In comparison to my other coding classes, this was the best course I have ever taken! Matt explains every lesson in a concise and straightforward manner. He has an impressive teaching style, especially when it comes to articulating main points in each lesson. In my opinion, even people who have no prior knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be able to follow and understand this lesson. Furthermore, I can say the content is not too overwhelming, it is just about right in terms of portions. Matt has helped me understand specific cases that had me wondering and finally was able to comprehend why they happened. The coding course has been enjoyable and very informative for me. My first project has finally been completed, and I am happy about it. I am looking forward to the next workshop!

SheCodes was easy to jump into, and I was so impressed at how accessible the coursework was! I had so much fun coding the final project for SheCodes Basics, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone who's looking for an introduction to coding, or for people like me who want to expand the basic HTML knowledge they gained from early social media!

React was definitely the most challenging of my SheCodes workshops, but I am happy to be leaving with two projects I can be proud of. SheCodes has taken me from a person with literally no coding experience to someone who can't wait to get home and work on coding.
I’ve learned a lot on SheCodes Plus Workshop. I had so much fun building Web application. I can not wait to continue learning and build more projects! Nevertheless, I’m starting to realize that girls can do anything a guy can do.
I have been loving the journey so far. I do have some experience with html, css and Javascript. I love that the courses uses videos with bite size lessons to complete with one project at the end of each module. I started a front end bootcamp and it was way over my head with a lot to complete in a weeks time. This course has given me to much more confidence that I can do this!
The basic workshop was fun and I love that I could learn at my own pace! The length of each lesson was manageable and the challenge after each lesson & final project was great for hands-on experience. Would love to join the more advanced workshops soon!
The course is well structured and builds your knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript step by step. The challenges thrown in to the lessons makes it easier to learn and apply what you are doing to improve the final project. It was a super fun workshop where I totally forgot the time while doing the challenges, homework, and projects.
This workshop pushed me to constantly reflect on and improve my code. When building the weather app, you get the chance to go beyond the project requirements and use some of the coding techniques you learn during the workshop to code features that aren't required like a location button, a unit converter, a timezone-accurate time display and more! Coding these features by myself without being able to rely on Matt's vanilla code helped me learn how to create and use my own functions.
I learned so much during this React course and worked on two amazing projects (The dictionary and weather app), I would recommend this course for anyone who is really interested in coding.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the React workshops. The last few months were challenging but fun. I can see the progress and improvement in each project! I feel very confident with the skills I have learnt and I am excited to see where this takes me in the future. I am now feeling more confident and hope to transition into tech one day.

It's the first time that I use React and I have to admit that was really straightforward. The instructor explains the code and modules step by step. Moreover, it was really funny to design my own web page. I can't wait to apply all the knowledge that I obtained during the workshop in my future projects.
I am very impressed with the level of skills I've learnt. When you look at the agenda you might get a little intimidated at first. But actually it's super exciting. The lessons are very well-organised and easy to follow. I really enjoyed the course. In the end you have a cool project you can showcase.

I am glad that I joined SheCodes! I have no basic or knowledge in coding. The basics workshop has provided me some insights of how coding works. The level of understanding you gain is really astonishing, and being able to present your own built project at the end makes you feel really proud. After completing SheCodes Basic I immediately sign up for SheCodes Plus. Compare to Basic Workshop it was challenging at times, but very interesting and fun. I'm proud of progress I've made so far and of my Weather App project. I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop.
okay here's just my opinion. I honestly liked the shortness of the SheCodes workshop, it was an eye opener experience for me. I did appreciate the videos that were available, but I also had to spend some time having to learn things my own, by searching up how-to videos, and reading about new terms and techniques, which I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled about. I figured since we were paying to get into the workshop, the information would be taught to us, and not us having to teach ourselves at times. Of course, I can't be too upset with it because it was titled a basic workshop, so I should have probably guessed. I also felt like the project video demos were way more easy to follow along versus the challenge videos from week 1 and 2 (sidenote: week 2 seems a bit more easier than week 1, and it wasn't as over bearing, could just have been for me.) The week 3 (aka project) videos were completely step by step, and when I was doing my project, that's what I used to help me build it from scratch, instead of having to go back to look at week 1 and 2 challenge videos (if you're reading this without being in the workshop, it may not make sense, but it will if you do)! The videos from Week 1 and 2, I only knew what to do after I submitted my solution, and I saw the answer. I wished I just understood before from the learning video. I am quite happy that I was able to follow through with the workshop (finally! I had kept putting it off! :') When I finally did commit to the workshop, though, I had some basic knowledge of HTML that I believe helped me keep going. I do think if you're a beginner with no absolute knowledge of web development, you should try to know some before jumping into this workshop, especially if you're gonna pay. There are free beginner workshops online (way long, might be kinda boring too though), I would recommend watching some videos of Introduction to HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT, even reading some books (another sidenote: I bought a workbook to help with HTML/CSS, definitely helped me out.), then I would join SheCodes. It wasn't as overwhelming, because some of the words were familiar. Another piece of advice, the deadline can sneak up on you, especially if you have outside life going on, like work or school or whatever else that can take up your time. This workshop is like an online class, so keep that in mind when choosing your start date. Overall, I do appreciate this as a start up, and a push in the right direction. It really depends on your dedication, truthfully. It's a great tool, and I'm thankful for the opportunity. Also, its three weeks-one if you really wanna push it. Not bad.
My final project! I think this is a great way to end my workshop journey - by creating and celebrating all the work I've done!
I was initially nervous about taking on learning to code as it seemed complicated, but I wanted to give it a go. SheCodes is an amazing place to start learning, Matt is a great teacher and breaks it down so well - he also compares it to real life scenarios sometimes which makes it easier to understand. You have plenty of time to learn and submit homework/projects while maintaining work/life balance. I love what I have learnt so far and plan on upgrading to a bigger course.
It was my first time coding and I loved it ♥️! Thanks to the SheCodes team for providing such an easy to follow course with little projects throughout the way. I did the Basics workshop and I think it's a great way to learn about the very first initial steps in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. PS. I signed up for Matt's SheCodes free workshop totally on a whim one night when I was in the process of an entire life overhaul. Watching Matt code brought me back to my Neopets "coding" days when I'd create personal pages for my Neopets profile using AskJeeves for help on what I was doing. Something reignited in me and I realized that I missed the puzzle that is coding. After I attended that workshop, I signed up for the SheCodes Basics class. I had so much fun learning and relearning coding through this course. Not only did I have so much fun learning, I had a blast (are you allowed to say that about what is considered homework?" completing my final project for this course. I am so proud of my final project and hope to continue my coding journey in the future!
I started learning coding with no background experience in the field so that my resume could stand out amongst others during my job search in Marketing. I was surprised by how fun it turned out to be! As the class progressed, it was exciting to see things start to click and seeing the progress of my projects coming to life. I gained a new interest in something I never thought I'd be able to do and gained so much confidence! This is a great course for beginners and experienced coders.
Good intro! A good balance of learning, challenges and project. Now i have a better scope of the importance of html, css, javascript, what each of them mean and look forward to keep coding.

I really enjoyed these lessons. It was like a walk through memory lane from what I learned in High School yet I only remembered some of the JavaScript stuff. Helped a lot and it made me create a project that I could show in my portfolio too.
This is the beginning of a great adventure in the world of virtual creativity. This experience with SheCodes is a well-thought-out project for women, and learning is very easy to learn.
I really enjoyed the basic course from SheCodes. It was well structured, easy to follow and I loved the challenges in between to always practice what you just learned. Only minus point was that in the last week you do not learn anything new. You are completely working on the final project.
This React course was the most challenging of the workshops, but I got a real kick out of finding solutions to create the different apps. It's a great follow-on from the Plus course, as it takes a lot of the JS knowledge acquired and shifts it to show how to set up clean, efficient code in the component model. It's also given me a push to re-engage with JS and learn more with further projects. Would definitely recommend!
The courses videos were broken into easily digestible pieces which build on top of each other, before you know it you know how to design and build your own web page! They have requirements for the final project which means that unless you copy the demo site code and functionality you do not pass. They list the functionality they require but not the specific order they want it in and if you do not follow the order that they require you fail and have to resubmit.
I love this course and I found it very useful with good exercises to practice. Matt explains in a very nice way which makes things easier to understand, since I was never the technical person. I love learning new things, it was a lot of fun and the course was much better than expected, I was very happy to see the results of my projects. Working as a Recruiter, this course already helped me a lot to have a better idea of what my tech colleagues do in a regular basis.
Started as someone with zero coding knowledge, as a homemaker. Within days I'm surprised at my capability to submit my final project today. It was very challenging but a lot of fun. Matt does a fantastic job of thoroughly walking you through every step of the learning process. I Highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to start their journey in coding.

After the first workshop, I never imagined that it could get better, but I was eager to continue my journey. I loved how easy SheCodes was to follow. The lessons were bite-size, the challenges made it easy to put my new skills into practice, and the final project really challenged me to think for myself. I've told several friends to look up SheCodes and register!

A good course, however it's probably best served after all other courses available, as it may reference projects you have not yet completed. The portfolio site you end up making is nice and clean.

Projects are suitable for beginner level, with step-by-step walkthroughs and sample solutions. I was able to seek help on my problems via Slack, as well as extend the deadlines when necessary. 10 out of 10!!!
