I had a ton of fun building the final project for this add-on workshop and further developing my skills using React. I was able to build upon what I learned in SheCodes React and practice certain skills I was less confident in. Overall, I learned more than I ever thought I could by enrolling in SheCodes Max, and am incredibly grateful for the opportunity! Matt made coding fun, and not scary. I truly loved this experience ❤️
I've learned bits and pieces of code before, but I love the project-based format. It's easy to learn and makes it easier to retain. Additionally, I love that they provide resources for future coding.

This project has been great fun! I struggled a little bit in the first 4 weeks but the second half of the course I flew through in just a couple of days. I had so much fun doing this course and being able to play around with the design myself. Note to self I need to come up with some way better design ideas for the next project but I had fun playing with the colour palettes etc. I learnt so many new things in this project and I cant wait to take them into the next project.

I had tried wrapping my head around coding for a long time and even worked on some data science projects at work and university. I felt defeated because I found coding too complex and thought that the world of software development was a dream I could never pursue. I challenged myself to try coding just one more time and attended the SheCodes Introduction workshop. I was shocked at how easy to grasp the concepts were and how much I enjoyed the way Matt (my instructor) explained concepts. I felt for the first time that my dream of transitioning into software development was a real possibility. The lessons were ADHD-friendly (which was very important for me as an ADHD girlie!) as they were bite-sized, self-paced, aesthetic and interesting. Needless to say, I find myself coding for fun at night, which I never thought I'd say. If you're on the fence, please try the course; you won't regret it!

I completed a basic module of coding at university a number of years ago which I enjoyed yet I fully didn't understand it and how all the elements of coding languages interacted with each other. Now having dipped my toe back into coding with SheCodes, I have found exactly what I am looking for. Step-by-step videos which explain each topic with a short challenge using this knowledge, building your knowledge gradually. You have all the lessons to refer back to, the Slack community and also SheCodes Athena AI to assist you whenever you need it. Although at times it was challenging, it enabled me to go back, re-try and check my code and it's the best feeling when it loads and works which you have solved yourself! At the beginning of my adult life, I had contact with IT and some very basic programming languages, but life took me on other direction, and I went to project management, procurement, customer support but I always wanted to have the chance to know more about coding. Maybe it’s the famous middle-life crises but as I approach halfway through my life, I want to know more about coding. I saw the Shecodes workshop, and I felt this is it. The classes were great, we have a lot of support material, and the team is responsive in Slack. Is never too late to learn and is never to late to do something we really want and love.
I was very curious how to build a project that would include an AI text generator, and I'm glad I attended this workshop! SheCodes is the best. I really enjoyed the course content and all the challenges, including the project. The course content was taught in a way that was easy to understand, follow and apply the concepts. I love the fact that the workshops are hands on.
Don't give up! The first few lessons are jam packed with info, so find a quiet place and dive in! This workshop is easy to follow, with previous lessons available for reference. It is really satisfying to see how you fast you progress and learn, as you complete homework and the final project.
Well, this little AI project was fun. APIs and AI feel so complex and intimidating when you look at them; but once you know how to use them, they become very accessible. It's all a matter absorbing that knowledge and applying it on the go, which the course does really well, with all the challenges and the final project.
This project was fun! I could have kept adding more cities and enjoyed adding colour through CSS at the end 😃

I used to think coding is hard and that I cannot do it but since I have started with SheCodes. I have fallen in love with it and now I finally see why I chose to study Computer science. These workshops are worth it because now I am able to do projects by myself with confidence.
Really enjoyed learning more about integrating different types of API using React.js. Very happy to have two projects using the language and I'm really looking forward to building more applications to expand my portfolio - this was a great starting point.

The dictionary app project, in my opinion, fell short of exploring more comprehensive and challenging concepts that could have been beneficial for reinforcing advanced React skills. It seemed like a missed opportunity to delve deeper into the intricacies of React. On the positive side, the course did offer a platform to practice and consolidate the skills acquired in the initial React course. The incorporation of API fetching added a practical dimension to the learning experience, allowing us to implement real-world data into our projects. However, I believe there was untapped potential for a more sophisticated and multifaceted project that could have elevated the learning experience.
