I recently completed my portfolio, creating a multi-page website that looks stunning on both desktop and mobile screens. The project involved various aspects of web design, and I used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to achieve a responsive and visually appealing site. Bootstrap's grid system and components were invaluable in ensuring the website's beauty and functionality across different devices. Overall, it was a rewarding experience that enhanced my web development skills.
I completed this workshop in 2022 but had to resubmit my project for the certificate because SheCodes revamped its offerings, splitting the React workshop into two parts. Previously, participants chose between uploading the weather app or dictionary project at the end. Nevertheless, I remember it being a fun workshop and a great introduction to React! I might even revisit the lessons soon.

I took the Basic course almost 2 years ago but then life got busy and I couldn't continue. I'm so thankful for the lifelong access, and Matt brilliant explanations. The first two lessons were a bit rough, but as they progressed I felt that what I learned started coming back. I have found the AI Add-On workshop to be been incredibly enjoyable and fascinating! I'm intrigued by generative AI and how it can be integrated into a webpage, and I learned so much from this course. Shecodes Front-end Bootcamp is still my favorite way to learn how to code. I loved being able to expand more on the basics with this program. It gave me new tricks to try to add to any future projects. The teaching style has been tremendously helpful and whenever I have been frustrated with a code not working, Slack has been a godsend to get the code right. I truly cannot wait to see what else I can do.
The more I progress through the courses the more fun they become. I really liked playing around with the AI and will try out my new skills in other projects.

I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who want to learn coding. Matt makes learning so easy and fun. I had zero knowledge of coding and had always thought it was like rocket science. Through this basic training, I have found myself loving it and very easy to follow and apply when doing homework challenges and projects.
I successfully completed the Basics workshop and feel that I have a some knowledge about html, css, and java script. It is a relatively cost effective way to get introduced to coding. The course took much longer than the advertised 5 hours per week for absolute beginners. I am not an absolute beginner and the first week took me 12 hours. The instructor moves pretty fast and didn't stop to cover things that an absolute beginner would need to know. I know the deadlines are flexible, but since the course took much longer than advertised I had big breaks between weeks and had to go back and review the previous lesson before I could move on. The homeworks and final project expected me to complete things that had not been modeled by the instructor. I took advantage of the cheatsheets and google search. I learned, in part, because I like to solve problems.
Before starting Shecodes, I was learning HTML and CSS on my own but wasn’t really motivated by myself and was a bit confused by JavaScript. After trying Shecodes I became very interested in learning to code and the homework and projects kept me engaged and motivated to keep learning. Matt Delac makes things easy to understand and there is always a community to look to when you have questions!

In this workshop I learned how to build my projects with Bootstrap in order to make them responsive , I am excited to implement and use these skills in my own personal projects!

Attending the SheCodes workshop has changed my life. I was nervous about learning to code, but SheCodes made it easy and fun. The lessons are clear and well-organized, making hard concepts easy to understand. The projects helped me practice and see my progress right away. The instructor is great and know his stuff and is always ready to help. One of the best parts is the Slack community. It's full of women learning to code just like me. We help each other out, share tips, and celebrate our successes together. It made the learning process feel supportive and less lonely. SheCodes is perfect for busy people because you can learn at your own pace. I could balance my studies with my other commitments easily. Now, I feel confident and ready to start a career in tech.
