Coding is so enjoyable when you're determined and already have a vision. SheCodes first three weeks course is made easy, everything's explained so clearly that you can actually finish all the challenges and projects quite quickly, I'm addicted to coding now.
I have had great fun and learnt so much from this course. It has provided me with a great base for my own learning, as well as forcing me to apply my new skills to projects.
What an amazing journey! Like many of us, I started with the SheCodes workshop because, as a designer, I wanted to have some basic coding knowledge. I liked it so much that I wanted to learn more and went to SheCodes Plus where I felt I've learned so much and finished with a good understanding of coding language. So I decided to take the other step - React! - that I truly hope and believe that it will open a new door to a new career. I will not say that it was an easy path, but Matt is an amazing teacher and explains everything in a good and clear way. And he is supported with an amazing team that will not let you stay behind. I have to give a special thanks to João, for his patient and dedication to the project, he was always ready to help and clarify all my (many) doubts!
I really enjoyed the structure of the workshop. Each lesson is the perfect length of time, with just the right amount of information. I really appreciated the homework after each lesson, which helped me understand the concepts and practice the new skills. The weekly projects were a bonus to tie together everything I learned throughout the week. I highly recommend this workshop for anyone who is curious in learning more about coding!
The class is laid out in short video segments with written notes & small challenges that lead up to a big project.
I really enjoyed this workshop! It was a nice refresher from when I took an intro course in college...and nice to know this final project won't impact my grade 😅 Plus if I got stuck in one of the exercises, the slack chats were very helpful! Thank you!
I heard about coding for a while now, but it always seemed intimidating. Thanks to SheCodes I managed to surpass my expectations, and create this project. This worksop has given me valuable skills in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript ES6 (with the help of CodePen and Visual Studio Code) that I strongly believe anyone should have in this day and age. You will never feel lost or stuck, as the SheCodes team and the other students are there for you at any point. The classes are well structured, and you can take them in your own time. When I finished my SheCodes intro class I knew I had to learn more. SheCodes do a great job of pacing the classes so you never feel too overwhelmed by all the new information you are learning. All the challenges make you think and apply what you have learned from the lessons. The main project was fun, challenging and feels incredibly rewarding to finish. I have learned so much from SheCodes and cannot wait to see where learning to code takes me next!
This has been the easiest and most interactive way for me to learn how to code. In the past I was used to learning html and css from generic apps, but they weren't nearly as fun as SheCodes. If you're on the fence, I would highly recommend trying out the 3-week workshop in order to get a feel for the curriculum like I did and be a part of the slack online project help forum. I'm looking forward to purchasing the SheCodes Plus course soon because of how much I liked this one. Thanks, Matt, for such amazing instruction and explanation of the material!!
The workshop was engaging, easy to follow and well structured. It has certainly given me the basic foundation and confidence in learning coding. So proud of what I was able to churn out (see project 😉) from this short course!
I've always been interested in coding and this was an amazing introduction course! Each lesson was broken down really well, easy to follow and the final project was a really fun experience!
I loved that the Plus course continued the format of the Introductory course where topics were broken up into their own separate videos. It made the topics easier to learn, practice, and digest; and has given me a basis for what to look for when problem-solving and researching in order to build on to the skills that I've learned from the course. I also enjoyed the level of difficulty and challenge of the project. I'm excited to learn more with the React course!
Creating a web-page was something I've seen many attempt but never did myself. I attended the 3-week workshop to take the plunge and dampen the impact from covid news. When everything came together in my final project, I was thrilled to see my passion and a new skill come together. Ultimately, I was most excited at the difference 3-weeks made!
Overall the help sheets and video explanations are very clear from Matt, learned a new world and found it interesting for sure. However, I do not like the platform Slack. I've had help today but I didn't even notice the answer until hours later, and the answer did not help me find a solution regardless. Slack is definitely not a simple platform to follow, it's confusing and overloaded with unnecessary messages from too many users. I submitted my final project, but I am not happy with a lot of things and even with google I could not find the solutions. I followed Matts advice and instructions but a lot of things were not working, even when writing multiple of times, refreshing pages, and writing them carefully while checking my notes. I didn't have so many problems with my last homework submission so I don't understand why this one was so hard to complete.
A smooth project guideline with clear explanation for a beginner like myself. Great experience to learn so much more 'behind-the-scene' of webpages that we see every day. There are frustrating moments where my codes are not functioning as I want them too but I always manage to get the help I need through slack 😄

SheCodes was a great introduction to coding. The lessons were engaging and easy to follow, but I still felt like a learnt a lot while doing them. The exercises, homework, and project kept me accountable and were a great way to prove to myself that the material was sinking in. I loved it!
I am truly happy to have decided to apply for this course. In just 3 weeks I was able to learn so much and in such a fun and interesting way, not boring at all! 😄 In every video lesson, Matt explains everything in a very simple and efficient way and the challenges that he gives in each lesson are so worthy because you only learn by doing and you learn even more when things don’t work and you have to find by yourself what was wrong, knowing that you also can ask for help anytime you want. I can't believe I built my weather app for the Final Project from scratch! SheCodes Plus covers some pretty complex topics but the bitesize course structure, resources and community support system means help is always at hand. The course also gives insights to some of the main industry tools and repositories which I will definitely be referring to (and hopefully contributing to!) in the future!
The three-week course was a perfect intro into coding. The projects built on one another and taught me how to examine elements of webpages I use to understand how they work. The process was easy to follow and while I still have a lot to learn, this gave me a great starting point to go from!
This course has been totally worthy for me. I used to have very basic mistakes because I didn't understand how everything worked. Now I see myself capable of doing new projects and I am eager to keep learning
I was curious to find out how an online class with flexible learning hours would actually make me learn coding properly. The learning material is easy to understand and the Slack community a great place to ask for support. The homework and project deadlines help a lot to keep myself accountable. I loved this course! I definitely feel like I've mastered the basics of coding at this point. The way the workshops are built, with challenges and projects, makes it easy to follow. You are immediately able to apply the knowledge. What I also found valuable was that I was given tools to help me look up information online. Overall, I'm very happy that I took this course.

I am so impressed with the SheCodes Workshop. The way the lessons and challenges were structured made the learning experience enjoyable. I truly enjoyed SheCodes! After the first three weeks of working on my project, I knew I found the perfect workshop for me. It was organized, detailed and easy to follow along, not to mention, help is available 24/7. SheCodes Plus was a bit challenging, but I love a challenge! After taking both workshops I will say Tech life is definitely for me.

SheCodes Plus was a great next step for learning how to code in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The weekly challenges and homework were not easy but were broken down into digestible pieces, and I was able to successfully complete the workshop during weekends and after work. Matt provides really clear and concise recorded lessons with follow-up videos to walk you through each challenge and assignment's recommended solution. If more guidance is ever needed, additional help is always available over Slack. I do not have a math or programming background, yet I was able to grasp the concepts and after completing the weather app project, I feel more confident in my understanding and ability to read and create code to build useful applications. I recommend the SheCodes Plus workshop to anyone who has completed the 3-week introduction workshop, and wants to learn more!
I can't believe after three weeks I made a website from scratch! 🙀 The classes were broken down into bite-size pieces that gave you just the right amount of information to digest and were supplemented with a challenge problem to practice and solidify the knowledge. Every lessons builds on topics learned previously so you feel very prepared to tackle the homework at the end of each week. The final project was a culmination of everything learned previously. Great class to take if you want to learn the basics of coding without ever being bored.
SheCodes React was super! As always, Matt breaks everything down so it's easy to digest. He takes you step by step and helps you create a cool, portfolio-ready project. The only thing I wish is that this course was longer so we could cover more. Would recommend!
It was a good experiece, I had fun and got to learn a lot more about coding. I feel we could have access to more material so we could learn more about coding, not only about the project itself.
The course came with its challenges but in the end, I was able to develop my first-ever weather app. I could not have done it without the support from João Lopes(work-space admin) when I got stuck or had questions. What a great last couple of months. The course was quite challenging but I feel that I have learned a lot! I never thought I'd be able to build a weather app as my first project and I am really happy with the results. I totally recommend the course.

SheCodes was an awesome experience. After the SheCode weekend I got the code bug and wanted to learn more about it and more techniques. SheCodes Plus was the way to go, the classes are easy to follow, and you can watch them and work on your project in your own pace, which is great. Matt has the ability of explaining something complicated in the easiest way and has an incredible team working with him to ensure that every student feels welcomed and get help if necessary. It was a great experience, really fit people with no coding background at all.
SheCodes is the perfect place to kick start your coding journey. As an analyst working alongside engineers I became interested in trying to understand their work. I have searched multiple platforms and different boot camps and I chose Shecodes. It was the best decision I made. I really loved this workshop and the way Matt teaches. I started learning code earlier, but I never understood why I have to do things the way I have to do them. Matt explains everything very clearly so you understand the background of why things work the way they do. I love the fact that the videos are really short and you always get an exercise to submit. Trying things out for yourself definitely helps to remember things better. I was so motivated that I finished all the videos and assignments in less than a week. After that I had enough time for my final project and to try out new things.
I am a dentist by profession,and had been sitting at home during the lockdown of 2020. My mind was figeting with the idea of learning something new. Coding always fascinated me,but intricacies were also very intimidating. I joined SheCodes workshop to get an idea if I would like to learn this further, and at the end of 3 weeks I can say that this is the most simplified and in-depth course for a even a bigenner like me. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who wants to learn coding and has zero knowledge of it(like me). After completing the first SheCodes workshop, I'm happy I joined SheCodes Plus! In SheCodes Plus, there's a great transition from the material in the first workshop. You never feel like you've missed anything. The pace of the course works well with the content. The material is challenging, but you can grow so much. It was really satisfying to be finished my project, and I feel more confident in my skills. As always, the lovely helpers on Slack are always there if you need clarification. Definitely recommend!
The coding journey with SheCodes is amazing. The different workshops are very well constructed and covers from the basic of HTML and CSS to the advanced React framework. This was a great class for beginners like myself! The videos were easy to follow and the challenges, homeworks, and project really allowed me to be hands on and implement what I learned. It was great to have the ability to go back and reference the videos if I got stuck. I did find that the course took more than 15 hours as stated in the course description (at least for myself - a beginner who was taking lots of notes along the way, viewing videos more than once if I got stuck, etc.). This workshop taught me the very basic fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and has set me off to further explore the world of coding and learn more skills! Also, I can't say enough good things about the SheCodes team and the Slack channel that comes along with this workshop - the team was always super quick to respond to any questions I had about the course and the Slack channel provided great support!
SheCodes Plus is a great way to learn more advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript after the first workshop. The weather app was a fun project to work on!

I've always wanted to learn more about coding and in the past few weeks, I've been able to learn and practice a lot of information. The weekly workshops are informative and well-thought-out and the challenges make you exercise what you've learned. The weekly homework grew off of each other each week to make the final project more manageable. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who's been curious about coding!
Having neatly zero knowledge of programming language before march 2020, in a couple of weeks through SheCodes and SheCodes Plus courses I managed to start taking my baby steps on the programming world. SheCodes Plus is a huge step forward, compared to SheCodes introduction. I would highly recommend taking this next level to get more confident and comfortable with CSS and HTML, but mostly to develop your JavaScript Skills. On SheCodes plus, not only you learn the tolls, skills and resources to be more independent in coding. You also learn how to use GitHub, host your projects online and, more importantly understand how these tools can also help you boost your CV and showcase your projects to potential employers! I cannot describe how helpful and how much did I learned during these last 8 weeks. It was extraordinary and allowed me to feel so much more empowered. Now, I can't wait to proceed with React! Again, I find Matt a really good tutor and the supporting Slack Team extraordinary. They have been an undeniable asset on this journey.
SheCodes Plus is a great way to make your introduction to Front-End Development. You'll learn a lot and challenge yourself while building a hands-on, fun and useful app as your final project. The lessons are clear and straight to the point. The Slack community is great to meet other coders and ask for help with your project.
SheCodes Plus is what I needed to gain the confidence to pursue a career in front-end developing. Matt is an awesome teacher who is thorough and honest. I really enjoyed building the final project and I feel that my knowledge is solid and earned. My goal is to find a career in web development and continue gaining knowledge into software engineering and SheCodes is the perfect kick start.
I thought this course was really great for so many reasons! I loved the structure of the course - videos, challenges, projects. It was helpful to have the videos to be able to go back and watch when you got stuck. Having a slack channel where you could ask for help was great too. My only complaint is that it definitely takes longer than 5 hours a week to complete. That piece of information was misleading. With that being said, I still thought it was a great course and I would recommend it to a friend (with the knowledge that it will take anywhere from 10-12 hours per week).
I really enjoyed the workshop. I learned so much in these few weeks and discovered that coding is really fun indeed. It felt amazing to work on the final project and apply all that new knowledge. During these weeks, I found out that this is a path that I would love to take: becoming a professional coder.

I would highly recommend a course with SheCodes. I have always been interested in coding and I thought SheCodes Workshop would be a good introduction--I was not disappointed. The workshop is a mix of short videos explaining key concepts and a challenge for each concept. There are then larger "challenges" in the form of weekly homework and projects. The length of the videos makes them very easy to get through, and the challenges ensure that you have fully grasped a concept before introducing a new one. I would definitely consider another SheCodes course in future!
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is new to coding and wishes to deep dive into the world of React. Building a concrete project on your own is a great way to learn. A huge bonus is that you can actually showcase what you've built during the course to potential employers. After the course, you can immediately start job hunting, or you can continue to explore the world of coding (or do both!). I'm very happy that I started my journey to front-end development with SheCodes and can't wait to learn & code more! :)

I have been interested in coding for a while but I have always been thrown off by the costs of bootcamps online, and the worry of not having any computer science experience. After reading through the website and attending the free coding class, I was super excited about the opportunity to learn in an affordable and judgement free environment. I was not disappointed! This workshop has been easy to follow, extremely educational, and fun to do. I don't think I've ever enjoyed working on a project so much. Matt's videos are short and to the point without feeling overwhelming. I will definitely be continuing on with the courses offered by SheCodes and cannot recommend these workshops enough!

Highly recommended! I always thought coding is important skill to learn but I couldn't have chance to find such an insightful friendly class until my friend introduced. I have never imagined that I can design the website like our final project, and enjoyed every single learning process during this 3 weeks. I can not wait for the next challenge!
I was asked to participate in the 3 Week SheCodes Workshop as a ladies group, enrichment activity. Although I had taken coding in secondary school, I knew this workshop would require more effort and focus than I typically possess. Thankfully, instructor Matt has a pleasant voice and clear delivery. The video lessons can be played and replayed at whatever speed suits your attention span. Weeks 1 and 2 each took a few full days for me to complete, leaving 2 weeks to space the final project. This is a self-paced workshop, but be aware of deadlines. I found the lessons were best absorbed and challenges easier to complete, when I reproduced the instructional exercises along with the videos. The challenges, homework, and final project do require additional self-research and a bit of trial and error. This is where supplied resources like SheCodes Slack workspace and MDN web docs come in handy. I would recommend this workshop only to the person who has the time, budget, interest and motivation to build foundational coding skills.
Had a lot of fun learning, and look forward to applying this knowledge to my existing projects!
This course was a great opportunity to restart a skill that I have not used since university. Really appreciated the lesson challenges & homeworks as they were a great opportunities to practice. By the final project I felt it all came together nicely, so definitely do not regret having signed up.
Great course from start to finish! The number of lessons each week was initially quite daunting and I wasn't sure at first whether I would have the time to fit them in around work, but once I started and got to know the format, I found it flowed really well. The challenges were fun but tough, there was a really good balance between difficulty and enjoyment. I loved creating my final project and can't wait to keep practicing and building on these new skills.

I gained a lot of knowledge in 3 weeks. I loved how the course was taught and that you could go at your own pace. The videos were easy to follow and to comprehend. The homework and the projects made you think critically and analytically. I have a BA in History. Learning HTML, CSS and Java has given me an important new skill that I was able to use in conjunction with my passion for history. I was able to use my new coding skills on the final project along with a historical topic which I love. The workshop was great at communicating. Slack is a great tool to use for asking questions. I always felt welcomed and comfortable asking questions or giving feedback on my projects. I found SheCodes to be the perfect online community for learn coding. I am glad that I made the decision to take the course and look forward to continuing with more advanced classes.
I really enjoyed the introduction to coding with SheCodes! I had been thinking about changing into product management for a long time but wasn't sure if I would like the coding aspects of it. I was really doubting if I would be able to do it and what's more important if I would enjoy it. These last few weeks have been extremely interesting and exciting for me. I had so much fun learning and creating new things. I find coding very rewarding as you see the results of your work almost immediately. I especially loved the final project as you get the chance to create something on your own and get to be really creative. The videos provided by Matt were very easy to follow and I learned a lot in such a short time! The community provided by SheCodes is great as you can both find help and help others! It feels like a safe space to ask any questions if you ever get stuck and you always get very quick feedback from the nice SheCodes team if the other girls can't help you out. I would absolutely recommend SheCodes and I am so much looking forward to continuing my learning in SheCodes Plus!
LOVED IT! I have been wanting to try coding to see if I liked it for a while but I was reluctant as I had no previous experience whatsoever with coding and I had no idea if it would be something I could actually do, or enjoy. I watched the SheCodes Video and decided that I would give it a try. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this 3 months more than I was expecting as the videos are easy to follow, Matt gives you great advice and if we get stuck, we can always count on the team to help us out on Slack. It was challenging at times, but also very rewarding when you get to see the result of something you have built. The project at the end was a lot of fun because it was more personal. It was a very informative course where I could apply my previous knowledge and work on an interesting project.
SheCodes is a great coding course, especially for beginners, who have never tried to code before. The instructor is very good at explaining the different HTML, CSS and Javascript elements and why you are using it. The videos are also very easy to follow and so are the challenges. It is all a good build-up for the final project, where you really can put your skills to the test! I feel I have a way better basic understanding of coding, and hope to work more with it in the future!
SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience I would highly recommend! The easy to follow course videos, challenges and homework assignments on HTML, CSS and JavaScript are the perfect preparation for the final project at the end. In my opinion the best part of the workshop, as you get the opportunity to be creative, while combining all the skills you learned and get this revised by the SheCodes team. Excited to improve my skills and create even more amazing projects!
I really enjoyed the workshop with SheCodes. Easy to learn lessons, effective challenges, very helpful community, amusing to do homeworks, and fun project to finish. The first coding workshop that I truly enjoyed and made me want to code more. Highly recommended!

I loved the SheCodes workshop 😃 The material of the lessons was really well explained by Matt and easy to understand. SheCodes and Matt were great! Coding broken down into bitesize pieces with fun challenges and projects. I didn't think that I would be creating a weather app so quickly. It was really fun and I can't wait to keep coding!
This course was a great intro to coding. The short demo videos are easy to follow. The homework and project were really challenging but very enjoyable! I would recommend the course and plan to continue learning with SheCodes.
This workshop was all I needed! I tried to learn to code before, but I gave up as I couldn't see how to properly use HTML and CSS together. With Matt's lessons, everything became clearer. I really enjoyed the challenges, the homeworks and making my own project. This workshop definitely motivated me to learn more!

I've used several free online platforms to learn to code, and as helpful as those are, these courses helped me stay accountable, while also teaching me up to date practices, and handy tips and tricks. It was also good to have homework and projects that I can use later for reference and learning.
I have been looking for a way to learn coding for quite a while now, and I was so excited when I found SheCodes! I found the videos and prompts very easy to learn from, and each project really built on itself. If you're on the fence about taking this workshop, I urge you to try it!

For someone who is an absolute beginner, such as myself, a great way to start a new challenge! The way the workshop is conducted, it's so easy to follow. Each lesson is followed by a task to create or solve, and there's great support from the SheCodes team. Especially with the homework and the project, I couldn't let my laptop go, I'm hooked!
As a graduate in web and app design and development, this workshop was not immediately very challenging. But I could refresh my skills and learned some new things. You can always contact the coaches or fellow students if you have any questions. The answer follows quickly and is very extensive, with detailed documents if necessary. The workshop is very well explained and easy to follow, it is a nice way to take your first steps in html, css and javascript, it gives you good basic knowledge to work on and learn later more. Thank you SheCodes, I had a lot of fun, it's wonderful to code and create things, learn things and work on fun projects.
