It was challenging but so much fun and very hands on! I love how practical the course is, where we get to work on real life projects. I definitely recommend it and will keep learning.

An excellent introduction to basic coding concepts with small challenge tasks that give you enough information to get started and see how different languages work together without overwhelming with technical jargon. Homework projects consolidate the work done in the week and encourage you to research solutions and build your knowledge. This is genuinely a great course for beginners to start building understanding, skills, and confidence.

I love this coding workshop! The videos and lessons are clear and easy to understand. I really like how it is setup. We learn a little bit, then practice, then apply everything learned that week in a larger homework. Then at the end of the course we applied everything we learned into a project. I liked that we got to decide what we wanted to do for the project.

Doing the 3-week course has given me so much empathy and understanding of what the developers I work with do on a daily basis. It was also super fun to see how creative coding can be and I look forward to thinking up my next project!

I had so much fun learning to code! I was able to complete this course at my own pace and create a beautiful final project, all while achieving my real estate license, an associates degree and working! If you're even remotely interested in programming and development, I highly recommend you give this course a shot--you'll be surprised by how much you'll learn in such a short period of time!

It was a great project to work on for someone new to coding. Learning more Javascript and trying out some Bootstrap styling for CSS were two of my favorite aspects. I do think it is very tricky to figure out how to set up Git on a Chromebook and it would be great if future versions of this class make it clearer for those using cloud-based systems.

I'd learned the fundamentals of HTML & CSS previously, but was beginning to find it difficult to start putting it to proper practice. The workshop was a great refresher and helped me consolidate what I'd already learned, with the added bonus of breaking into JavaScript as well! The homework was fun, and I especially enjoyed the final project - I'm really excited & definitely more confident to proceed now. Thanks, Matt & the rest of the SheCodes team!

I enjoyed all SheCodes courses I have taken so far - the explanations are clear, Matt provides various resources, João is beyond helpful in the Slack chat - and the best thing, the course is not just theory, but mostly practice. And in SheCodes Plus you have to work hard on your final project - and you learn a lot! I'm excited to continue my coding journey with the SheCodes React course.

I would highly recommend the SheCodes React Workshop! It is a challenging step up from vanilla JavaScript to begin with, but Matt does a great job at walking through all the key elements of the framework. I am really pleased with how my final project turned out, and now I have another project to add to my developer portfolio, as well as a new framework in my toolkit. A few months ago I couldn't even write a single line of HTML, and now I can make fully functional applications!

With this workshop you learn how to code in HTML, CSS & JavaScript and you also learn to think as a programmer. I fully enjoyed this workshop. It was challenging and exciting to work on weather app project and I’m more than ever motivated to keep going with programming. I've learnt not only about the interaction between CSS, HTML , JS more in depth, but also I have got to know the tricks and tools that professional in the area use to find resources for their projects. Additionally, I think that hands on software versioning, GIT, GITHub are extremely relevant on the learning of software development.

SheCodes Plus has been instrumental in my coding development. The pragmatic structure of the tutorials and tasks has meant my learning has always been practical, and not focused purely on theory. The course has encouraged a lot of independence and sharpened my research skills as everything is not handed to me on the plate, meaning when faced with a problem with my code, I have to search for answers just as a developer would. Now I have a good grasp of Vanilla Java Script I am looking forward to utilising this using the React framework in order to build more cool and exciting projects.

This coding workshop was great! The layout of the lessons, homework and project were really manageable and definitely kept me engaged! I enjoyed the pace as it was not overwhelming. This workshop has definitely made me more interested in code!

The workshop is a great introduction to coding. By myself, I was quite stuck; before finding SheCodes, I would have learned the material from free materials without actually putting it into effect. SheCodes Plus provided a rigorous and immersive 6-week advanced coding workshop that finely crafted and sharped skills learned in the previous 4-week course. It was a very difficult and challenging time, but the SheCodes Plus Workshop course pushed me more than ever before to keep going and to not give up in my coding journey. In several weeks I was able to learn so much more about vanilla JavaScript with the supportive team at SheCodes than I could ever have done learning just by myself. Even though my final weather app project is quite basic, I tried my hardest and best with what I could manage now, and again I'm so very glad and thankful I didn't give up. I especially love the fact that we will always have access to course materials, videos, and the Slack group even after graduating the workshop, so I am going to look over the course again and again to solidify my knowledge. I look forward to improving my skills greatly in the next workshop (SheCodes Plus React)!

I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes and highly recommend! I didn't know anything about coding before I started this workshop. Everything was explained step by step and after completing some challenges and my final project I feel so relieved and accomplished.

My introduction to SheCodes was through the 1-hour free coding workshop. I enjoyed Matt's informal style of teaching and camaraderie and decided to sign up for the beginner programme. I am happy to say that his style of teaching carried on through the weeks. He breaks down the concepts into simpler details that are easy to understand. I really enjoyed the fact that for the weekly homework, I could go further than what was required as long as I used the concepts I learned during that week. The final project also created an opportunity for me to create a page for something I have been wanting to. SheCodes radio was also an additional interesting feature. I have enjoyed it and will definitely be pursuing coding further.

SheCodes Plus was an advanced course of coding, it took me quite a time to finish the weekly projects, however for me this is a good sign for an online course. It means that it was challenging and that it really made me learn a lot through these weeks. I cannot wait for the react course to begin!

Three weeks ago I knew nothing about coding, and now I've created my own landing page. 😎 The SheCodes lessons were clear and easy to follow. Homework and weekly challenges were scaffolded and helpful, and I appreciated receiving fast and reliable support-- not to mention connecting with women all over the world via slack! A great course

After completing my introduction to coding, I decided to embark on this amazing course to keep on learning and challenging myself. I already recommended this workshop to one of my colleagues and would definitely recommend it to anyone who does not know anything about coding. The pre-recorded lessons extremely convenient since you can work on each project|| homework on your own time and pace. "She codes" has made me fall in love with coding.

Looking back to when I started on this coding journey and comparing that to the very moment when I finished my Weather app project in vanilla JS, it really is amazing how much i have learnt, evolved and how much confidence I have gained that I can now take a project into my hands and make it happen, from scratch! This class definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I feel so proud of myself and accomplished after submitting my final project! At the beginning of this year, if someone had told me I would complete THREE coding workshops in 2020 I would have died laughing, but today I am beyond impressed with myself for trying something completely new and getting through it. I am so grateful for this small workshop. I am a high school student with a relatively heavy workload and still managed to get all work in on time. All lessons are taught thoroughly which means that weekly challenges will be very easy to complete and I virtually needed no help. However, I always knew that I could ask for help anytime in the Slack chat. The final project demonstrates a person's creativity and really challenges your acquired knowledge. All in all, this course was highly rewarding.

When I saw about the sheCodes workshop, I've decided to sign up in their account and that was the time when I've watched Matt Delac's video. I was so amazed on how he explained everything and I felt that I absolutely want to try. Luckily, I have a background in programming, so I've chosen to enroll in sheCodes. I have no regrets at all! I am right-brain oriented--and with an arts and humanities background--the idea of me even considering a coding class was insane and nerve wracking. While using COVID as an excuse to try something new but practical, I decided to take the coding workshop and I am so glad I did. Matt's instruction and explanations are clear and concise, the lesson challenges aren't daunting but helpful, and finishing the homework and final project was incredibly rewarding. I look forward to taking Plus and Plus React in the future!

During the Plus workshop we learn a bit of more advanced javascript, bootstrap, integration with API's, version control with GitHub and how to host our application. All of these components combined in a challenging and portfolio-worthy final project.

At times, I found the course quite challenging but I was determined to not ask for help and find out the solution on my own. It is so rewarding with being able to do it correctly! I would recommend this course to anyone looking to get a basic knowledge of coding. The videos and challenges made it really simple to understand and really enjoyable! The homework and final project that was set was fun as well I'm hoping to be able to continue onto SheCodes Plus soon!

I am so thankful that I started this journey with SheCodes, I almost wish it didn't end, but I plan to do other boot camps, courses, and expand my knowledge. I plan to do more projects and search for more resources so that I can obtain a job in this field. I went from knowing nothing about coding in July 2020 to being able to build a website and then some in November 2020. I hope others take advantage of this opportunity and spread the word that this is the cheapest boot camp outside of the free ones and the individuals courses.

Great 3 weeks of learning and you can do it on your own pace. It's really convenient when you work. You got plenty of help from the staff and fellow coders. With the introduction courses, you learn all the basics pretty fast and you get to do your own project which is pretty awesome ! Would recommend SheCodes to anyone interested in coding :)

I am so glad I signed up for this - it's helped me realize how powerful and fun coding can be and I found myself eagerly wanting to code each day as I was excited to work on the homework and projects. I am excited to continue!

My company offered a discount for the SheCodes workshops, and as a Technical Project Manager who has always wanted to learn to code, I took the opportunity during the pandemic to jump in. I think the structure and routine of SheCodes lessons helped to simplify and reinforce basic dev concepts through repetition and real-world application, but a lot of the lessons seem plucked from the developer.mozilla resources. Also, for the amount of material, I wish there were an easy way to download documentation, although I suppose I could just go to developer.mozilla and find them there. Ultimately, the reason I probably wouldn't recommend SheCodes to anyone is the weird taste left in my mouth having learned post-signup that SHECodes was founded and run by a man. :facepalm:

I am an environmental engineer, I work with projects related to creative and circular economics. I am very curious and I have a passion for nature and I see it as a great art, very well programmed! Staying more at home in these pandemic times and having a curiosity to learn something new made me rescue an old and hidden desire: learn to program, understand this art that looks like magic! I really enjoyed these first three weeks and I am looking forward to the next! I hope in the future I will be able to develop a career in technology in parallel with the environmental career. And I feel that SheCodes is the enzyme to catalyze this desire!

I had previously taken the three week course and was highly satisfied with that one. This one was a bit more challenging but the knowledge I gained whilst working on my project was well worth it.

Highly recommend all three workshops with SheCodes! I do wish React was longer and it would be nice to have a different project from the weather app in SheCodes Plus, though I do appreciate seeing how to take a vanilla js project and build it through React. The SheCodes team is extremely helpful and I enjoyed being part of the community on Slack. After completing all three workshops, I believe more education is needed before applying to any junior development roles, but this is an amazing start and provides a lot of resources and knowledge to get you started in software development!

I decided to attend the course out of curiosity. I don't want to be a developer, but I wanted to understand a bit of it since I work with developers and also I sell a JS technology, so it's good to know how it works to talk with my prospects. And at the end of the course I had a trip, so didn't put much effort into the final project, but the important thing is the knowledge. The course is very very good, and having the support on Slack is a super plus!!
