This Workshop was excellent for me as a beginner! It was pretty fun to code with the lessons. The final project is really relevant and inspired me to continue my journey to become a coder. I highly recommend it.
Thank you for this wonderful workshop on Front-End Development. It is very straight-forward and geared at teaching you how to build a functioning weather-app in no time. Additionally, every student learns how to create a project on GitHub and connect it to Netlify and use APIs for a web-app. I will admit that there will be tough learning curves. However, there is a wonderful Slack-Community where we help each other out. If you don't have too much coding knowledge, I would highly recommend this.
Really clear, comprehensive explanations on each subject. Weather app is a good project to start your journey as it includes a lot of useful programming skills, and I leave this course with, what I feel, is a good understanding of them
I loved working on this project since it gave us the needed tools to integrate real-time information using an API. After creating this project, I have learned a lot in JavaScript. Before I looked through the Vanilla JS videos, I had googled how to increment days in JavaScript which gave me more information as to how JavaScript's internal dates work. This has been a great challenge to complete!
The class was well taught and well planned. I wish the refactoring lesson had an accompanying exercise, even though it is mentioned as more of a preview for future courses. Most HWs are a culmination of skills you have previously practiced in lessons and their accompanying challenge. Challenges, although not checked the way HW is checked, serve as wonderful stepping stones to the weekly HW and final project. Questions can be asked on Slack and answers are quickly received in less than a day. The class gives you tools for learning on your own in addition to using what you have been taught. This is an excellent course for those looking to dip their toes into the world of coding!
This is a very cool course! I'm learn more about the functions in Java script and about GitHub, Netlify, Bootstrap and API. Many interesting lessons with even more interesting tasks - for me was a lot of fun. And as a conclusion - a personally made project "Weather App". Thanks SheCodes team!
So worth it! It can be difficult at times, but the support you can get along the way is great. SheCodes gave me all the right steps and guidance on how to get started and create a project I'm really proud of. I would recommend it to anyone!
As someone who has learned basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the past, this workshop was a great refresher for me and gave me the creative freedom to really put what I'd learned (and re-learned) into practice. The lessons were constructed in an organized, straight-forwarded manner, and summarized concepts clearly and simply. The assignments and projects were set up in a way that really had to make me think about what I'd learned and figure out where and how to implement it correctly. Throughout the course, I didn't feel like I was spoon-fed at all, and was able to gain a greater understanding of concepts despite having learned them before. Now, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and and ready to move on and learn even more!
Thanks to this course, I have learnt new skills. It was challenging but I enjoyed it a lot! I study marketing and I highly believe that this course will help me in my future professional development. Everything was well explained, by making challenges and projects I have used all the theory in practice. I would recommend this course!
I learned so incredibly much over just 3 weeks! I felt like I was actually learning relevant things that I could use in my job. I never coded an email before, and in my final project I was able to do it all by myself without asking anyone at work. Thank you Matt & SheCodes team.
SheCodes Plus was a real challenge for me after completing the SheCodes intro workshop (no surprise there, we did dive into Javascript functions! 🤯). As someone who has never written a line of code before taking these SheCodes workshops, I am proud of myself for finishing this course with a functional project to show for it. What I liked most about SheCodes is that it allowed me to move at my own pace. I hit some road blocks, not fully understanding certain concepts as they got more advanced and wishing I had more time to process the information. The team at SheCodes was gracious about deadlines, giving me the time I needed to complete my work, and whenever I got stuck, I was able to post in the Slack channel for help. The moment when things started to click for me while working on my project, I felt so empowered and capable. I'm inspired to continue learning and to see where this road may lead me!
I would really recommend this three-week workshop of SheCodes!! Matt's way of teaching is very efficient and simple so it is very easy to understand and put what you learned into action. The homework helps you put into practice what you just learned, which is great since you learn best by doing. By the time I reached my final project, I felt much more confident imagining what I wanted my page to look like and what I had to code to achieve it! It has been very fun to learn front-end coding 🤗. I am looking forward to continue this experience and start SheCodes Plus! 👩🏼💻
There have been so many times in my career where knowing even a little HTML would have provided me with some guidance on tough design projects. After taking this intro course, I now have a better understanding of how my designs and animations are being used on the web in their final state. I hope to continue with SheCodes for as long as possible, and to keep adding these little +1 ups to my resume!
I really enjoyed the workshop! Thank you for creating something interesting and inclusive! However, I felt like it would be better to introduce some commands before giving the project since I am complete zero in coding, it was confusing googling some commands, and I felt like I wasn't learning from Google
I first came across SheCodes on GGI, a facebook group for women living abroad. I had always had coding in the back of my mind, ever since we learned some basic HTML during my master's degree in English Language Teaching. I love materials design and as Computer Assisted Language Learning is becoming more and more common, I loved the idea of being able to create my own webpages. I am a SAHM at the moment, so I like the format of the SheCodes workshops, since I could access the content whenever I had some peace and quiet - super useful if you have a little toddler running around. I loved every minute of it and also enjoyed all the challenges and being able to choose something unique for our final project. I will continue learning and looking forward to diving deeper into the world of Java Script.
Learned a lot this course. It was frustrating sometimes, but in the end I am really happy with how my project turned out.
SheCodes is a great program to start learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The instructor, Matt, is easy to understand and does a great job explaining all of the new concepts. After each lesson, you complete a challenge and practice coding. The projects are fun and really test your knowledge of the material. I am happy so far and can't wait to continue with SheCodes plus!

Just like the first online workshop, SheCodes Plus was very well taught! Again, Matt breaks everything down into bitesize pieces, and is very encouraging. I now feel much more comfortable trying to work on my own projects, with a better context of how everything connects together. I am excited for SheCodes React!
I took the Xmas break to invest in myself by taking a three-week SheCodes workshop. It took me a few days to get into the programming mood, but once I started working on the first chapters, time just flew by. And within a blink, the three weeks were over and I had finished my first own real live project, and I am so proud to have exposed myself to unknown territory and been able to come up with something I feel happy about. So thank you, Matt, and your excellent team for this exciting experience!

I really like Shecodes workshop and its structure, in particular the challenges after each lesson, the homework each week and the big final project. The course is very interesting and fun. The support team is the added value, it is very fast and instructions insightful and easy to follow, plus Slack is a good tool to communicate and create a community. I really like the structure of Shecodes: bite-sized, digestible lessons; challenges after each lesson; homework each week and a big project in the end. The course is demanding, yet not less interesting and fun. Matt's instructions are really insightful and easy to understand. In only a few minutes, each lesson manages to tap into a new useful area. I really like the networking opportunities with SheCodes as well. The student support team here is also super fast, friendly and helpful. This is my first Coding Course and I highly recommend SheCodes to any rookies out there!!

Very clear and objective video lessons and learning format/tool. And well explained content. Of course, at the end of the course, some topics (which are more complex) still need to be deepened and the review and continued practice is necessary, after all, a different and new content for me. But it provided a very good level to start creating independent projects!
I enjoyed this workshop a lot! The lessons are in small packages, hence, it is very easy to understand, follow and complete the challenges. Moreover, the final project was super fun and I would highly recommend this workshop to everybody!

The SheCodes Plus Workshop series was a challenging but uniquely rewarding experience. As a beginner to coding, the idea of building my own website from scratch extremely extremely daunting at first. However, with the current state of uncertainty that seems to loom across the world, the weekly projects gave me something tangible to look forward to each week. I also have a new appreciation for every website I go on, now that I understand the time and effort that goes into building one. If you are considering these workshops even a little, DO IT! And you'll be happy that you did.
SheCodes taught me a lot about the fundamental pillars of code such as CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I have been struggling to learn code on my own, but with this workshop it made complete sense! The videos were easy to follow, homework assignments were challenging, and the final project gave us creative freedom. I'll definitely be registering for SheCodes React later this year. 👾 If you're hesitant or debating between SheCodes and another workshop, I highly recommend SheCodes! It was more like a game where you had to "beat each level" before advancing. I'm a visual learner and the way Matt explained everything was perfect. I always thought coding was for guys and nerds, with this course, I found is not that hard or for special people to learn. I prove myself I can do it, I feel empowered, most of all, I'm very proud of myself to understand what is the meaning of product development; and as a project manager, I'm planning to start using this knowledge more. I believe that if we do not know how to speak digital, we'll be very behind. If you want to level up your coding skills, this will be the course to start! 😎
SheCodes was a great way to learn an introductory to coding. The 3-week college-class style format helped keep me on track and on-schedule with each lesson and the videos and projects made me practice each skill at a time and in easily digestible chunks. Overall, it was a fun and easy way to learn coding for the first time.
I've always viewed coding as boring or too difficult to wrap my head around it. After taking this workshop I realize how creative and fun coding is! I wasn't expecting much but I found myself really enjoying the short lectures and the challenges. The help from the Slack channel was also super nice because we're a whole community sharing resources and common issues. I found myself really going out in the final project and researching different components I wanted to add. You can say I suprised myself. I'm excited to continue on to the next workshop and learning better ways to code.

A great intro for complete beginners on how to start learning on your own later. I had some background in css and html from teen years, but it was first time learning JavaScript. Enjoyed the course, definitely need to make some more projects to make sure to not forget the basics learnt in this course.
After completing the Introduction to Coding course back in summer, I was looking forward to developing my knowledge and testing myself - the Plus course definitely delivered! On many occasions I found myself frustrated when working through the weekly lessons and challenges, but when I began the homework I was surprised to realise how much I'd actually taken in and that it was a lot easier than anticipated. It was really fun and I've loved working on my project, from building my initial wireframe to spending hours working on and streamlining my JavaScript. There are some improvements that I'd like to have made to the code of my final project, but I took on board Matt's advice of only coding what you understand, not copying and pasting. I know that with time and patience I'll gain an even more advanced understanding, but I'm pretty stoked with what I've built considering six months ago my only knowledge of code was (very) basic HTML from the days of MySpace!
I had always been interested to look into coding. Yet, as a female you rarely see the opportunities a career in IT holds. I am very happy to have signed up for the 3-weeks SheCodes Workshop as I now have a basic understanding on web development. Matt explains everything in a very practical way, which is great! I did not expect to build my very own (interactive) landing page as final project - I am more than satisfied and highly recommend SheCodes to others!
I would highly recommend SheCodes for anyone looking for a solid foundation in coding without dropping thousands on a bootcamp. I loved the pace and level of the course, and really appreciated the community of the slack channel. I'm looking forward to building a portfolio with the projects I worked on with SheCodes.
SheCodes is wonderful! The videos are clear, well structured, and organized. It's also an asynchronous class - you can learn and work on your homeworks/projects whenever convenient for you. I loved the fact that the curriculum is divided in several short videos and after each video you get to apply what you have learned in the challenge and afterwards combine everything you have learned in the homework and finally in the final project. In 2020 after 7 years of designing and managing IT projects, I have decided to learn software development, I wanted to know how to use all modern technologies, tools and frameworks. My experience in coding was limited to basic university program of c# and java. Thanks to SheCodes lessons (Plus and React) I have received updated and practical knowledge in order to build and maintain by myself web apps using HTML-CSS-JS or React.js framework. As a consequence I can now manage development teams even better than before or directly take a role of Front End dev in a project. Matt Delac is a great tutor, I appreciate a lot his mission! Now I am a certified Front End developer.

A great introduction to coding - I have learnt so much these past few weeks. Really enjoyable and the videos were easy to follow. I expected more teaching in the third week rather than just the project, but a great experience overall! I would definitely recommend.

SheCodes workshop offers an insight into the world of coding, making it both accessible and ENJOYABLE for absolute beginners like me! I was thinking about taking up a course for quite some but I was also very hesitant, thinking I will not manage to complete it without any background programming knowledge. I couldn't be more wrong! Coding with SheCodes was engaging, interesting, colorful and it was fun! I felt motivated at all times and wanted to submit all challenges without fail. I'm submitting my final project now and I'm sad it's already over but I also have no doubt that I can take up higer level courses and I will succeed in these as well. Thank you!

The lesson videos were clear and concise. Teaching was very structured, allowing me to practise what I learn through the small challenges and homework so it didn't feel too difficult and gave me confidence one step at a time to progress until the project at the end of the course.
I learned so much in this workshop. I would highly recommend it to others! I found that people were so nice to help each other. Surely, my project could still need more finish and styling - but I feel like, I am able to do so after acquiring the tools this course provides. Thank you :)

My SheCodes adventure has been a fun & delightful one. Like all good things, It has now come to an end, but i will hopefully keep in touch with the team & fellow students through Slack. I thoroughly enjoyed discovering & gaining some basic skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript & React. It will help me continue to learn on my own, but i'm not ready to apply for a development job yet. I have learnt so much completing this weather app project with SheCodes! There were definitely some challenges but help was at hand on Slack when I got stuck! Great basic course, I liked the fact that each subject was split into several sections and you could easily go back and revise something if needed. Cool final project too. Can't wait for the next course!
I really enjoyed the SheCodes workshops! I enrolled to refresh my web development knowledge, as I haven't touched it in 5 years, and wound up getting a proper grasp on some things that I'd used previously used but hadn't really understood. The videos explain things quite well, the bite-sized exercises and homework really help reinforce the learnings, and completing the final project really brings a sense of achievement.
I really enjoyed the course. Each module was easy to follow and I felt a great sense of achievement after completing each challenge and the final project.
As a beginner, am so glad I chose SheCodes. The beautifully laid out and well-organized modules as well as the challenging home works helped me learn and enjoy the basics of coding . I honestly never thought I would be able to learn JS, let alone finish a web app by myself! Especially after taking so many online tutorials/courses and ending up frustrated. After finishing the Intro to Coding I Workshop I just had to keep going and the Front End Development was the obvious next step. Matt is a fantastic teacher, explaining every step of the way as he goes along, and feel I have a pretty solid foundation on JS and Front End now to start my own projects now. The Plus course was well structured. The level was high, nevertheless really fun to learn new topic each week. The weekly homework allow you to apply what was learned directly on your own project which was really helpful. Overall you get a good insight into what coding/front-end development is all about. Thank you for this fun experience and I would love to continue coding.

Good for beginners, I loved the extra tools this course shared with us (like Color Hunt, Design Palette, Codepen etc) it helped in building the final project. Over all great structure and easy to follow.

I’m not new to coding. Had some experience in Java and the Spring framework. Took this course to learn more about the front-end side. This course is very helpful. It teaches me all the front-end basics (HTML, CSS, javascript) in a detailed way. I enjoyed the challenge problems that come after the lesson and the weekly project. These are the parts that kept me interested. The instructor is engaging and makes the course easy to understand. He gave practical advice on using various coding tools. I learned a lot in this course and have built an awesome weather app in the final project.
Pretty impressed with the skills learned with the help of Matt and SheCodes. The lessons are fun and very well structured, the challenges are a great way to apply what you've just learned during the video lessons and the final project is so gratifying, since you get to build something from scratch and make it work. SheCodes course is really well-structured and has a very pragmatic approach. In few weeks you get the basis of HTML, CSS and Java and can start building your webpage with professional tools. The videos are short and simple, and straight after each video you have a challenge or an issue to solve and at the end of it you can learn and play with a project you build from scratch. For the whole duration of the course you join the community on Slack, where you can get advice from peers or tech experts. The course developed by Matt definitely went beyond by expectations!
I am so happy that I accidentally found the SheCodes Workshop and I am even more happy that I have decided to do it! I did not know anything about coding, I was a total beginner thinking that I don't have anything to lose even if I wouldn't like it. It turned out that I liked it a lot and I enjoyed all the lessons, homework and the final project! Now that I have learnt the basics, I am ready to dive in even deeper and continue moving forward with SheCodes! I would totally recommend it to anyone and I can truly confirm that coding is a lot of fun and creativity.
When I started the coding journey I just wanted to see if it was just a little of curiosity or if it was something else. In the end I really found a passion! I loved that the program is mostly learn as you go, and you can count on people here to find some help when you are stuck. There was so many things that amazed me and really show me that coding is so powerful (like Mac said so many times in this course... and he was totally correct). Huge Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team for making this possible. It was just wonderful to see my idea of a project became a finalized project. Looking forward to the React one!!

This was such a fun, interactive way to learn something new this year. My husband is a data scientist and he has the mindset that everyone should know a little coding so I decided to do all of the SheCodes workshops to introduce myself. The project, while a little challenging at times was so fun to create and now I have something I can show friends/family to show my progress. Having the homework keeps me accountable and Joao answered more than a couple of my problems I was having through slack. I would definitely recommend!

These classes have been exciting and informative! I've really enjoyed learning new skills and creating a project in two different formats. I feel like I have a much better understanding of how these languages work.

Little did I know about the wonderful journey I was getting started with and how mistaken I was about coding! The satisfaction that comes from completing every challenge and making your project is indescribable. With the help of Matt and his team, I learned that I won´t feel lost along the way if I just ask for some help and persevere until I find a possible solution because there is always one. SheCodes Plus is an amazing workshop! I must admit that I scratched my head a lot of times when finishing my project. I am sad to leave this workshop as it had been super fun, but I am proud to say that I am finishing it off with a good amount of knowledge on coding. I received a lot of help from the staff and I couldn't be any more satisfied with this workshop.
As an IT recruiter for almost 5 years now, I always enjoyed listening to developers talking about their projects, the technologies they use, and what kind of challenges they face. I also always wanted to know how is it in their shoes, so I decided to enroll in an online programming course. SheCodes workshop gave me exactly what I wanted and expected: basic knowledge of front-end development, coding experience, and very interesting challenges. Now, I can share my experience with other developers, I can be perceived differently by them and if nothing else, I can understand some memes and IT jokes I couldn't understand before. :)
The first SheCodes workshop was nice, but with SheCodes Plus the real fun only begins! Working on your own project throughout the workshop motivates you immensely, even with the more tricky topics. During the process, my project got a bit messy. I was really greatful that there was a repeat week at the end of the workshop where Matt showed the whole workflow again from start to finish. This way you can rebuild your project cleanly if necessary. And you can be sure that you are not alone but always get help! In short, it was challenging and fun at the same time and I can't wait to get going with React :)
SheCodes was a brilliant way to get started in coding. Each tutorial breaks down web design step by step so that anyone can easily understand. Projects are engaging and the creative possibilities are very special.
This class was everything I hoped it was going to be. I feel confident applying for jobs, and excited to work on more projects.
This course is a very good introduction to coding. I already had basic knowledge but still learned a lot ! Matt is a good instructor and the step-by-step workshops are easy to follow. I really enjoyed working on my final project, very fulfilling ! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is curious about coding :)
I thought the Workshop was great! The short, clear lessons super easy to follow and the individual challenges great for reinforcing each new concept. Once you know the basics it's amazing how much you can do! I found myself looking up new things to try for my final project. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's an absolute beginner and interested in coding.
In short time I learned a lot about HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was super fun and not so difficult, all thanks to great coding instructor- Matt. I did all challenges, homeworks and final project with just left hand (right one is broken at the moment). If I can do it like that, you can do it too! This first workshop was great, see you all in more advanced courses! Also thanks to Daniela and Lexi for support!
This is a great course for anyone wanting to boost some extra skills and looking to get into coding! Plus took what I had learned in the Introduction to Coding workshop and continued to build on developing knowledge while adding new stuff along the way, leading to a final project I am really proud of! The SheCodes team is amazing and so responsive with any questions, it is great to know that if I have any problems there is always someone willing to help. Looking forward to the next workshop!

Amazing experience, so many hands-on projects, and a lot of learning. The way the course is run is so flexible that everyone can fit it easily around their busy schedule. The super supportive crew made the whole adventure fun yet still challenging :)
